Chapter 5 - 5. The Four Brothers

He plunged a kunai into the back of the boy with tawny hair.

Having just killed an enemy, he was stunned for a moment after hearing that incredulous shout.

Kawarama?

Senju Kawarama?

This name sounds familiar!

He turned around and saw a young man with silver hair and a cold face rushing toward him with a sword.

"Whoa!"

Senju Tobirama!

He was instantly shocked.

Seeing the figure only a step away from him, he quickly used Ice Leap to reach the edge of the Frost Domain.

"Kawarama!" Arriving beside the fallen boy, Tobirama embraced his brother's body with disbelief.

Because his heart had been pierced, Kawarama died in Tobirama's arms after struggling for a few moments.

"Damn, I was wondering why the name Kawarama sounded so familiar. Turns out it's one of the Senju brothers."

So I just killed Hashirama's younger brother, right in front of Tobirama?

As he looked at Tobirama, who was holding his brother's body with a heartbroken expression, the corner of his mouth twitched involuntarily.

This was bad. Really bad.

"Damn you, Hagoromo! Die!!!"

Tobirama's red eyes were filled with grief. He put down Kawarama's body and stared at him with murderous intent.

His younger brother had been killed in a sneak attack!

If Tobirama were a member of the Uchiha clan, the level of grief and anger he felt at this moment would be enough for him to awaken a Sharingan.

Hearing Tobirama say "Damn Hagoromo," he inexplicably felt a sense of familiarity.

He shook his head, looked at Tobirama rushing toward him, and smiled. "Tobirama, is 'damn' all you know how to say? Do you want me to teach you how to curse properly?"

Whoosh!

With a thought, he dodged Tobirama's attack and appeared on the other side of the icy domain.

Tobirama's pupils contracted instantly as he watched his opponent suddenly disappear.

Body Flicker Technique?

No!

The Body Flicker Technique isn't that fast.

Could it be some kind of secret technique? Or is it the Swift Release that the Hagoromo clan hasn't used in a long time?

Although he thought about many things, it was only a fleeting thought in Tobirama's mind.

After his opponent appeared at the other end of the icy domain, Tobirama instantly turned in the direction he sensed, holding his short sword and staring with a cautious expression.

Tobirama was a man of deep thoughts, and even though he was still young, he'd already shown his calm side.

After sensing that his opponent's technique was extraordinary, he quickly suppressed his grief and anger, cautiously looking for a weakness.

"Tobirama, you can curse without being so bland about it. Let me teach you how to do it properly, instead of just saying 'damn' all day long."

As soon as he finished speaking, he instantly used Ice Leap and disappeared from the spot.

"You stupid dog Tobirama, go to hell!"

He suddenly appeared behind Tobirama, holding a kunai in his hand.

Slash!

Tobirama sensed the killing intent coming from behind and quickly turned around to defend himself with his short sword.

The kunai slid across the blade, instantly slashing Tobirama's shoulder and leaving a deep, bone-revealing wound from which blood flowed.

"Tch, that's quite sharp reflexes."

He pursed his lips and used the Frost Domain to leave the spot.

Ice Leap, strictly speaking, was a space-time ninjutsu.

Its principle was to first create a domain using one's own bloodline limit, and then, within that domain, rely on the perception of ice attributes to complete spatial jumps.

Logically speaking, such a ninjutsu should be considered an S-rank technique.

However, because his current version consumed too much chakra, had too small a range, and had a one-second cooldown, it was currently only A-rank.

Once he further developed it, it would undoubtedly become S-rank.

As the person who would develop the Flying Thunder God Technique in the future, Tobirama's sensitivity to space was self-evident.

Even if Tobirama hadn't started developing the Flying Thunder God yet, given his sensitivity to space, it was highly likely he could sense the spatial fluctuations when using Ice Leap.

Otherwise, if Tobirama's senses hadn't been so sharp, he might have actually killed him with a single blow.

"Wait a minute... Tobirama wouldn't go back and develop the Flying Thunder God Technique just because he saw my Ice Leap, would he?"

"It shouldn't be that outrageous, right?"

He suddenly thought of this possibility.

It was important to know that both the Frost Domain and the Flying Thunder God belonged to the category of space-time ninjutsu, and to a certain extent, their principles were similar.

If Tobirama were to see his Ice Leap today and then immediately develop the Flying Thunder God, that would be truly outrageous.

"Water Release: Water Severing Wave!"

Seeing that his opponent remained silent, Tobirama raised his hands, formed hand seals, and tentatively launched an attack.

Whoosh!

He used Ice Leap again and disappeared from the spot, leaving Tobirama's water attack completely in vain.

"In that case, you should go to the underworld and meet your brother!"

He instantly appeared behind Tobirama, staring at his back with murderous intent, and thrust the kunai directly toward it.

He had to understand that he'd practically killed Kawarama right in front of Tobirama, which created a huge grudge.

Every Naruto fan knew just how outrageous Tobirama's ability to create forbidden techniques was.

Rather than letting Tobirama create a bunch of ninjutsu to target him in the future, it was better to eliminate the threat now.

Anyway, Hagoromo and Senju were already mortal enemies. Since he'd already killed one of Hashirama's brothers, what was wrong with killing another one?

Clang!

Tobirama turned around and blocked the kunai. "Damn it! What kind of ninjutsu is this?!"

At this moment, he had disappeared again and appeared at the edge of the Frost Domain.

Sensing the strange teleportation technique, Tobirama remained calm on the surface, but he was already getting anxious inside.

How does he disappear without any trace? What kind of ninjutsu is this?

After this battle, I must investigate!

Two seconds later, he rummaged through a corpse on the ground, picked up a sword, and reappeared behind Tobirama.

Clang, clang, clang!

The two exchanged blows, and after two seconds, he disappeared again.

As for why he needed to wait two seconds...

Although the trump card had been revealed, it couldn't be fully revealed. The cooldown of one second would be disguised as two seconds.

Once Tobirama lowered his guard, he'd strike at the heart.

Clang, clang, clang...

On the battlefield, he disappeared and reappeared like a ghost, exchanging blows with Tobirama almost every two seconds.

This unique battle also attracted the attention of the Hagoromo and Senju clan members who were fighting nearby.
