Chapter 50: The Decisive Moment

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Explosions ripped through the duel arena.

The flashes of light fell like torrential rain, carpet-bombing the entire field from the center to the edges. The constant roar drowned out all other sounds.

Kizaru, suspended in the sky, had transformed into a cross of blinding light, shining like a second sun.

The ninjas watching the broadcast lost their smiles.

"What a terrifying attack!"

"There is no safe place in the entire arena!"

"Lord Sannin... persisting under such an attack is impossible!"

Even the Kage-level ninjas were shocked. The Fourth Raikage muttered, "If such an attack appeared in the village... how many would die?"

Terumi Mei added, "Perhaps fighting three-on-one allowed him to stop holding back. Lava and Ice might have restricted him before."

Boom!

Suddenly, amidst the countless flashes, a dazzling blue light appeared.

Jiraiya, holding the Massive Rasengan, jumped up. He used the giant chakra sphere as a shield, blocking the incoming light bullets while charging toward Kizaru.

Under the Rasengan's protection, Jiraiya was safe for the moment, but the sphere was being chipped away, consuming his chakra rapidly.

Jiraiya gritted his teeth. Just a little closer!

Staring down the bombardment, Jiraiya finally reached Kizaru's altitude. But this was the limit of his jump. Without leverage, he began to fall.

"Not good..." Sarutobi worried.

But a voice shouted from below. "Jiraiya! Give him a hard hit! Don't lose!"

Jiraiya looked down. Tsunade had leaped into the air. She kicked the soles of Jiraiya's feet, transferring her momentum to him.

Jiraiya accelerated again, rushing straight toward Kizaru.

Boom!

At the same time, several light bullets struck Tsunade, blasting her back into the ring, where she was overwhelmed by the continuing bombardment.

Kizaru watched Jiraiya flying straight at him.

"Scary indeed! You can still charge up? Then let's see who is stronger!"

Light focused on Kizaru's right leg.

Lightspeed Kick!

Activating instantly, Kizaru performed a somersault kick, treating the Massive Rasengan like a football.

BOOM!

A blinding white light burst forth, stripping vision from everyone in the auditorium.

When the light faded, the arena was disfigured, filled with craters.

Jiraiya lay in the center of a massive pit, badly injured and pale. Kizaru's kick had pierced through the Rasengan and crushed the attack.

Not far away, Tsunade lay amidst the rubble, covered in burns and looking as if she had been scorched by acid.

On the other side, Orochimaru, whose heart had been pierced, remained motionless on the ground.

It seemed the victory belonged to the One Piece world. One man had suppressed three legendary ninjas.

Kizaru landed, his Justice cloak rattling in the wind. He walked toward the struggling Jiraiya to deliver the final blow.

Suddenly, a shadow cast over his head.

Boom!

Kizaru's vision went pitch black.

What happened?

A puff of white smoke floated from the edge of the duel arena.

From the smoke, Orochimaru walked out slowly.

"Truly... such a terrible enemy."

His hoarse voice echoed. Everyone stared at him, dumbfounded.

Shouldn't he be dead?

Looking at the 'corpse' of Orochimaru in the distance, it had turned into a hollow snakeskin shed, lying quietly on the ground.

"He's still alive after being pierced through the heart?" Sengoku gasped.

But it wasn't just Orochimaru.

Tsunade stood up slowly. Hiss!

White steam rose from her body. The Strength of a Hundred Seal was active; her injuries regenerated at a speed visible to the naked eye. Whitebeard watched in shock as muscle and skin knit back together over exposed bone.

Jiraiya also sat up, sighing softly. "It's finally over!"

At that moment, Kizaru was teleported back to Marineford by a beam of white light.

He looked at Akainu, Sengoku, and the others, blinking in confusion. "I... lost?"

Sengoku frowned, his expression ugly.

Indeed, lost.

Just moments ago, after landing, Kizaru had been swallowed whole by a giant snake that appeared from nowhere—summoned by the real Orochimaru who had been hiding. The snake, with Kizaru inside, had slithered out of the arena bounds before turning into smoke and disappearing.

Leaving the field meant elimination.

Yuichi nodded. "It seems that if you leave the duel field, you lose regardless of your condition."
