Lena walked tiredly on the way to school. Her stomach rumbled as she saw a counter with steaming bread. She smiled and looked away. The sky was beautiful that day, the flowers looked brighter than ever and the aroma of the steaming bread made everything better.
"Lena!", someone called.
She turned back and a flashy Porsche parked at a corner.
She would recognize that car anywhere.
A boy stepped out of the car. He flashed a big smile at her waving and she seemed to melt away by that smile.
He walked up to her and touched her cheek playfully.
"Wanna ride with me?" He said smiling.
Lena looked dreamily at the guy standing in front of her. Aidan.
His grey eyes stared into her dreamy eyes as he pursed his lips waiting for her to say something.
Lena could not say anything but smile.
Aidan was a fairy tale in her life.
"Yes" she managed to say as she grabbed his arm.
"Let's go" Aidan said as they both walked to the car.
"Why didn't you get a new tight?" Aidan asked Lena when they both sat in the car
"Oh..." Lena muttered as she toughed the torn part of her tights. Could she say that her mother couldn't afford to buy her a new one or that measly food was the only thing they could afford now?
"Lena?" Aidan called.
"Oh...I was planning to get one last weekend but I totally forgot" Lena replied.
"Let's get you one after school today, I don't like seeing you like this" Aidan said as he touched her cheeks.
Lena smiled shyly as she looked away at the window.
How did the most popular and richest boy in school come to fall head out very heels for her?
They had been partners for a science project and Aidan had been totally nice to her. Unlike other rich boys, Aidan was different. He didn't laugh at her for bringing a torn bag to school or for coming to class with a torn tight. He was the first person who saw her for who she truly was.
During the course of the project, Aidan was trying to stop others from bullying her when they became friends. Until he told her he liked her and they started dating.
She still remembers how shocked she was when he asked her out.
It was the day they finished the project and they were cleaning the lab up. Lena was busy packing the bottles when one of them shattered on the floor.
"Are you okay?" Aidan asked as he ran to her
"Yeah, it's just a cut" Lena said obviously hurt
"It's not just a cut, Lena. You should be more careful. I hate to see you hurt."
Lena tried to reply but hiccups stopped her. Her stomach was bulging with butterflies and get face was red from blushing.
"I think I like you..... I don't know why but I do. And I want to keep protecting you" Aidan said.
Lena had never heard his voice that low. It sounded so protective and warm.
"Aidan-"
Before she could complete her sentence, Aidan drew her in for a kiss.
Lena tried to pull away but Aidan grabbed her waist and pulled her closer. She had no choice that to surrender. It was her first and she was having it with the best guy she could think of. When he pulled away, he looked at her with those grey eyes and pulled her in again pushing her hair behind her ears.
Lena raises her arms and wrapped it around his neck. She could feel his hear beating close to her chest and the air felt very hot.
Aidan pulled away and traced her neck with his lips. She gave a soft moan and grabbed him closer. Aidan pulled away and smiled.
"I think we should stop here" he said smiling.
Lena chucked a little bit disappointed.
"Yeah" she said as she left the room red.
That's how their relationship began and soon everyone knew of the poor girl and rich boy fairytale that only existed in books.
