Pokémon: Milotic

Held Item: Mystic Water

Evaluation: After absorbing a trace of the primal essence of the Legendary Pokémon Kyogre, Milotic has undergone notable changes. However, further in-depth development is still required.
After awakening, Milotic's move set hadn't changed much.
What truly stunned Oliver was that her potential had risen to Champion-grade, and—more importantly—the Ability list now included a brand-new entry: Primordial Water.
Everyone knew that Primal Kyogre's Ability was Primordial Sea—
a terrifying power that forcibly turned the weather into heavy rain, which could not be overridden by any weather effects except Desolate Land and Delta Stream, while also completely nullifying Fire-type attacks.
Milotic's newly awakened Ability was essentially a lower-tier version of Primordial Sea.
Unlike Kyogre, who could alter the weather of an entire region, Milotic could currently influence weather on a city-wide scale.
Compared to Kyogre, this was insignificant—but compared to ordinary Pokémon, it was utterly outrageous.
With this Ability alone, it would be nearly impossible for any Pokémon to outcompete Milotic in weather control.
On top of that, her resistance to Fire-type moves had increased dramatically—
to the point where she could completely negate Fire-type attacks from Pokémon one full tier below her.
According to the system, only part of the energy within Primordial Water had been absorbed so far, meaning this Ability had not been fully developed yet.
This also meant Milotic's future path had become extraordinarily broad.
After fusing with Primordial Water, Milotic carried a subtle yet overwhelming aura—
one that made others instinctively want to kneel in reverence.
Shardevoir, protected by Lugia's Silver Wing, managed to endure it without embarrassment.
But Gible wasn't so lucky—
His eyes immediately turned into spirals, and with a thud, he face-planted onto the floor.
In front of Oliver, however, Milotic deliberately restrained that aura.
"Milotic," Oliver asked, "can you control the rain outside?"
Milotic nodded gently and closed her eyes.
Almost instantly, the rain beyond the window began thinning at a visible speed.
The dark clouds slowly dispersed, and sunlight once again bathed the city.
At the same time, the faint super-ancient patterns on Milotic's body dimmed—
then vanished completely.
Oliver carefully examined her from head to tail, growing more satisfied by the second.
After three full days and nights of absorption, Milotic had undergone a true transformation. She now possessed the qualifications to step onto the path of a Legendary Pokémon.
"Na~s…"
Under Oliver's undisguised gaze, even the usually proud Milotic turned her head aside shyly, a faint blush visible.
"Ahem! Anyway—
to celebrate Milotic's awakening and her official breakthrough to Gym-tier, I declare that Energy Blocks are unlimited tonight!"
"Gah!"
Gible, who had been lying flat moments ago, instantly sprang to his feet as if hearing divine revelation.
Master is eternal! Master is supreme!
Laughter, cheers, and chaotic cries filled the room as they spent a joyful night together.
That night, Milotic curled up on the hotel's large bed.
Shardevoir leaned lightly against the headboard, her hands resting gently on Milotic's body.
Oliver slept at the other end, with a completely stuffed Gible sprawled across his chest, rising and falling with his breathing.
It would have been a lie to say Oliver hadn't been worried.
Legendary Pokémon often entered sleep without any sense of time—sometimes for hundreds or even thousands of years.
What if Milotic had fallen into such a slumber?
Fortunately, after just three days, she had awakened—
and even inherited part of Kyogre's power.
Only after putting that weight off his heart did Oliver allow himself to arrange this small celebration, letting everyone—including himself—relax.
The night passed quietly.
But the shock Milotic caused did not.
The torrential rain that had descended upon the capital had come without any warning.
Meteorological agencies had detected no approaching storm clouds. The rain seemed to form internally—ordinary clouds undergoing some unknown transformation.
Both the arrival and departure of the rain were unnaturally fast, closely resembling the effects of the move Rain Dance.
Yet no one suggested that Pokémon had caused it.
Because no Pokémon had ever been known to alter the weather of an entire city.
Even in Champion- or King-level battles, weather moves typically affected an area of at most one kilometer.
This event completely overturned public understanding of Pokémon abilities.
The League even formed a dedicated meteorological investigation team—but in the end, they found nothing and had no choice but to disband it.
The next morning, Oliver turned on the TV and saw interviews about the previous day's downpour still being broadcast.
He silently resolved that once they returned home, Milotic would need serious training in controlling Primordial Water.
She couldn't just walk onto the field and make an entire city start raining every time.
Once or twice might be dismissed as coincidence—
but repeated occurrences would inevitably raise suspicion.
At this point, Oliver's business in the capital was largely complete, and the start of the school term was drawing closer. He could prepare to head back at any time.
There was only one last thing left undone.
He Sheng had mentioned a place—
somewhere he could visit at his leisure—where someone wished to meet him.
Oliver took that advice literally, putting it off until just before his departure.
According to the address He Sheng gave him, the location was deep in the mountains outside the city.
After traveling as far as the road allowed, Oliver found that the pavement simply… ended.
The remaining path had to be traversed on foot.
Only then did Oliver truly appreciate the value of a ride Pokémon.
Thankfully, Shardevoir could still carry him using Teleport—though it did tire her more than usual.
Before long, Oliver arrived at a relatively flat clearing.
Through the trees ahead, he could vaguely make out a dome-shaped building.
Around it lived many different Pokémon—Butterfree, Beedrill, Charizard…
there was even a Goodra.
These Pokémon all seemed unusually gentle.
When they noticed Oliver approaching, they merely observed him curiously, neither fleeing nor roaring at him.
