Once upon a time in a quaint little village nestled between rolling hills, there lived a girl named Mira, that girl is me. I was born in the summer of 2001, l've always been a girl who stood up for herself. I grew living with my grandmother just the two of us due to me losing my parents at a young age, l used to call her "Nana".
There was an uncle who used to come to see us during holidays.
She would sometimes go far to work for us in order to maintain our needs, I would stay at home with my uncle sometimes. My uncle used to abuse me, saying inappropriate words to me which I found so abusive. When I told my grandmother she thought I was just being dramatic, I for sure knew that she loved me but didn't trust me when I tell her this.
My uncle used to promise me that l'll be
abandoned if I keep lying about him. I was just a little girl who was just scared for her life because I didn't wanna end up being a victim of rape.
As the years passed, the bond between me and my grandmother deepened.
Nana taught me to garden, to bake, and to appreciate the little things in life.
Every morning, my grandmother would wake me up with the scent of freshly baked bread filling the air. We would share breakfast together, often laughing and talking about our dreams and adventures.
I loved to listen to my grandmother's stories about the past, filled with tales of resilience and community strength. My grandmother was always worried that she was gonna die and leave me alone since I had no parents
