Chapter 91 - Another Place

Erich looked at the distracted Kvedo and gently patted him, and Kvedo, startled, laughed, "Hahaha, sorry, I zoned out."

Erich shook his head slightly and simply said, "It's nothing, just be careful. I feel like something big is going to happen today."

Kvedo also lost his usual lively demeanor and just said, "Ah, ah, yes, let's still be careful."

Karl, on the other hand, looked calm. The three silently stepped into "Saiji's Tavern." Today, the tavern was as lively as ever, as if Kvedo and his two companions were the unusual ones.

"Hahaha, Old Man Saiji, long time no see." Kvedo's cheerful demeanor showed that he was unaffected.

Old Man Saiji glanced at Kvedo, then at Erich, before saying, "Hey, you seem quite happy, but don't get too happy and trip, okay?"

"How could that happen? I'm not a child." Kvedo, in his usual lively manner, came to the bar and ordered three south wales beer.

Old Man Saiji wasn't surprised to hear south wales beer and chuckled twice, "Still south wales beer, won't you try other drinks?" Though Saiji said this, his hands were quick, and in a flash, he had prepared the three glasses of south wales beer.

"Come on, south wales beer is still the best. As for other drinks, sigh." Kvedo mumbled as he handed the drinks to Karl and Erich.

"Childish talk. Alright, I wish you all can find what you're looking for." Old Man Saiji chuckled twice and bid Kvedo farewell. After all, Saiji knew Kvedo was there for an Extraordinary Gathering and didn't particularly like to chat idly in the tavern.

"Old Man Saiji really understands me. Alright, let's go." The three said their goodbyes and went into the room for the Extraordinary Gathering.

Today's Extraordinary Gathering was not the high-end Extraordinary Gathering that Kvedo often mentioned, hosted by the person with the iron mask. Instead, it was an ordinary Extraordinary Gathering. Kvedo and his two companions simply walked in casually, observing the progress of the Extraordinary Gathering. As expected, there was nothing at the Extraordinary Gathering that caught their eye. At most, they simply added the extraordinary materials they saw today to their experience.

Just then, after a series of "thump-thump-thump" sounds, the Door opened, and a young man in a white robe with a kind face walked in.

Almost everyone in the room was drawn to the sudden intruder. The room, which had been filled with whispers, instantly fell silent.

A voice, mixed with surprise and fear, broke the silence: "A Zealot from the Eternal Blazing Sun! Why are these Beyonder troops from the Eternal Blazing Sun here? Where's the tavern owner?"

Everyone present immediately became fully alert, their eyes fixed on the Door while also looking at the speaker, who was a thin, masked young man.

Just as everyone seemed like startled cats, the young man at the Door spoke: "Oh, it seems not everyone is short-sighted. That's good. No matter who you are, you have met with heretics and been invited by heretics to this gathering. Now I declare all of you guilty. And the guilty shall receive divine punishment. Everyone shall be executed on the spot."

In an instant, the man acted, and a fierce radiance erupted from his body, as if the Sun itself had descended upon the world.

And just after the man finished speaking, everyone in the room seemed to have a portion of their strength restricted. At the same time, the light emanating from the man in front of them also illuminated everyone's eyes.

A beautiful song began, bringing with it a scent like seawater, salty and filled with the various odors of sea creatures. And everyone heard, beneath the song, the rage of the sea, the storm in the sea, that came with the feeling of the ocean!

While everyone was still shocked by the Beyonder from the church at the Door, the host of this Extraordinary Gathering made his move. Along with the sharp wind blades he unleashed, his words reached everyone's ears: "Everyone, we don't have time for scheming anymore. As you can see, only a fight to the death remains. I will hold off this Zealot's captain or deacon for you. You all deal with the ordinary Beyonder."

"Hmph, hmph, as expected of the mentally deranged under the Tyrant. Do these Beyonder really think they can stop the believers of God?" A cold sneer rang out, and the Zealot's captain, who seemed to be a deacon, spoke.

However, the Beyonder sent by the Storm Church, usually known for their fiery temper, did not erupt in anger. Instead, he spoke with a hint of calmness: "Heh heh, a bunch of lunatics whose brains have been burned by sunlight dare to call my Lord's believers mentally deranged? Let's settle this with our hands."

With that, the man, who seemed at odds with the term 'fiery temper,' lunged at the Sun believer opposite him like a raging storm, bringing with him windstorms, lightning, and seawater. He looked like a humanoid Calamity. If an ordinary person were in front of him, they might be scared to death by even a hint of his aura.

And the Beyonder, who was not known for his combat abilities, did not try to force it. He simply drew a broadsword, and a not-too-dazzling but eye-catching radiance enveloped him. At the same time, golden flames ignited on his body and sword. Then he powerfully struck the Storm believer who was charging at him.

As expected, everyone saw the Sun believer being knocked back. However, though he looked disheveled, the Sun believer showed no embarrassment. He simply whispered, "Go together! What are you waiting for?"

At this moment, another song sounded from the Door, followed by a light that was no stronger than the leading Sun believer's but equally deadly. A blinding, flaming sting suddenly thrust towards the Storm believer. The Storm believer laughed heartily, "Come on, come on, one isn't enough for me."

The temporarily retreated Sun believer also charged silently towards the Storm believer. However, anyone with a discerning eye could tell that the Beyonder of the Sun Pathway was clearly not a match for the Beyonder of the Tyrant Pathway. However, it wasn't too exaggerated; he was still held back. Although it was a stalemate, two people were clearly more formidable than one.

Before the people inside could catch their breath, the Zealot, who had entered in a continuous stream, rushed in, either singing, praying, or charging forward with broadswords to attack. And the battlefields of those clearly at Sequence 6 and Sequence 5 consciously broke through the walls and moved to another location to fight.

Kvedo, Erich, and Karl didn't say much. They could only stiffly look at each other. Before they could discuss a plan, someone charged at them. The three of them didn't carry weapons like swords, so they could only pull out the daggers they carried and rush towards a Sun believer who appeared to be of a low Sequence.
