Chapter 48 - Extraordinary Gathering

Seeing that they were finally getting to the point, Fulen also straightened his body from a completely relaxed state, sitting up slightly from the soft sofa.

Kvedo also stopped joking and stood up, a joyful expression on his face, as if it was finally his turn to perform. With a dance-like ballroom step, he moved with exaggerated yet light steps from beside his seat to behind it, and in an operatic tone, he said, "Gentlemen, allow me to lead you into the Beyonder world I have explored."

"I have experienced five or six Beyonder Gatherings, big and small. Of course, most of them were gatherings for Beyonder enthusiasts, but I also genuinely entered a Beyonder Gathering. This Beyonder Gathering is not anywhere else; it's right here in Xingye District, on Hawthorne Street. There's a tavern there, and its basement is a giant Beyonder Bazaar, while upstairs in the tavern, there's a very large room where the Beyonder Gathering is held."

"The organizer of the Beyonder Gathering is a Sequence 7 mid-Sequence Beyonder. Uh, Karl, I forgot to tell you, Sequence 9 to 8 are low-Sequence, Sequence 7 to 5 are mid-Sequence, and Sequence 4 to 1 are high-Sequence. Mid-Sequence Beyonders are much more powerful than low-Sequence Beyonders. So, this Beyonder Gathering is relatively reliable."

"Oh, right, do you have any questions? When would you like to go with me?" Kvedo finished speaking in an Intis noble accent.

Karl listened to Kvedo's performance with his arms crossed in a comfortable posture, then slowly asked, "So when is this Beyonder Gathering held? It shouldn't be every day, right?"

Kvedo might have been displeased with his own tendency to be forgetful in his explanations. He "tsk"ed and then said, "Well, there's no special notice. You only get information about whether a Beyonder Gathering will be held today after you go there each day."

Karl narrowed his long, slender eyes and asked his friend with a hint of distrust, "So, the Beyonder Gathering you're introducing is completely a wild, unregulated gathering, with no sense of a reliable Beyonder Gathering at all?"

Kvedo might have felt a bit awkward. After all, a Beyonder Gathering without regulations, guidelines, or high-Sequence participants indeed seemed unreliable. But he had no choice; he still had to forcefully save face. So he said, "It's not as bad as you say. Actually, below this Beyonder Gathering, there's a Beyonder Bazaar, and there's basically a Beyonder Gathering every day. There are three or four people holding gatherings upstairs in this tavern, so there's basically a gathering every day, ah haha, uh."

Erich asked pointedly, "So you only picked out this one gathering from these few gatherings? Do the other organizers not meet our requirements?"

Kvedo became even more awkward: "Heh, indeed. The organizers of the other gatherings are basically only Sequence 8. Although none of the organizers stated their Sequence, I still recognized them, hehe. Anyway, this is the only Beyonder Gathering we can see right now. Besides, we can also check out the other gatherings; there's no need to completely discard them." As he spoke, Kvedo became less and less confident.

Fulen twitched the corner of his mouth slightly, thinking to himself whether he should tell Kvedo and the others about the Beyonder Gathering at the Flame-Axe tavern. But then he thought better of it, deciding to wait a bit longer. After all, the current time was not suitable. Fulen was not in a safe situation at the moment; the Demoness Sect was eyeing him, and the tavern's organizer, the Iron and Blood Cross Order, also seemed not simple. Rashly leading others into a higher-end Beyonder Gathering now would only risk leaking the information that he might be from the Abraham Family.

After thinking it over, Fulen decided not to tell them for now. He would wait until their group reached Sequence 8, or even Sequence 7, before heading to that seemingly higher-level mysterious world. Then, his thoughts turned, and he asked Kvedo, "So, what is the name of this mysterious tavern?"

Kvedo was very happy that he no longer had to endure the questioning of two stern-faced interrogators. He quickly replied, "Ah, that, the name of that tavern is 'Saiji's Tavern.' It's a very conspicuous tavern on Hawthorne Street. Oh, alright, hehe, any more questions?" As he spoke, Kvedo puffed out his chest again, as if he had regained his initial confidence.

The Savant, whose expression kept changing, left Fulen dumbfounded. It seemed like it had happened several times today; Kvedo kept fluctuating between being struck down and bouncing back. This talent for perpetual optimism was truly unfathomable; one could only say he envied people with such naturally optimistic dispositions.

Putting everything else aside, the three friends Fulen made at this gathering, every single one of them, were not what you would call normal or ordinary people. Karl Green was a naturally aloof young man, while Erich was a rational and indifferent person due to his immersion in books. As for Kvedo, he could only be described as a hot-blooded male protagonist seemingly living in a two-dimensional world. As for the utterly ordinary Fulen, he could only express how truly ordinary he was.

"So, everyone listen up, we're going to have a Beyonder Gathering tomorrow. Do you want to participate?" Kvedo suddenly asked his three companions loudly.

Fulen rubbed his forehead, making sure no veins were bulging, because Kvedo's sudden bursts of excitement really made him feel a bit over-the-top. Such a person definitely wasn't the male protagonist of a hot-blooded manga; who would be so annoying? Those hot-blooded manga protagonists were clearly just stupid, but Kvedo, in Fulen's eyes, was quite shrewd.

Fulen found it hard to decide. After all, there were two Beyonder Gatherings being held tomorrow. Choosing between the Flame-Axe tavern and the tavern on Hawthorne Street was a bit of a headache. Uh, Fulen tugged at his hair slightly. He decided to go to the Beyonder Gathering on Hawthorne Street first. As for Flame-Axe, he would go another day.

While Fulen was thinking, Karl and Erich had both made their decisions and were willing to go. Fulen also quickly replied, "Of course, I'm willing."

Kvedo felt invigorated at this moment, looking utterly pleased with himself. Of course, this joy wasn't the smugness of a small man getting his way, but rather a kind of joy that people would want to share. He then said, "Hey, alright then, we've agreed! We'll meet at this cafe tomorrow at three in the afternoon, and then I'll lead you there. Hehe, I'm really looking forward to our trip tomorrow!"
