Chapter 29 - Visitor

As Fulen was worrying about his digestion journey, he heard a doorbell ring from behind the Door. The doorbell rang outside the study Door, which Fulen had not yet closed because he was eager to read the newspaper. Fulen was a little surprised and worried, but he did not have a good solution and could only see if the visitor was benevolent or malicious.

If I were already a Trickmaster, I would at least have the power to fight. Alas, time, time, Fulen thought helplessly.

Soon, Fulen approached the main Door. Opening a Door always brings surprises, or frights. Countless horror and spy films have proven the correctness of this point, even in cartoons.

Fulen opened the Door, and thankfully no one shouted "Open the Door, check the candles," nor was the terrified maid from yesterday there. There was only a man so handsome that he aroused jealousy, Amadi.

"Yo, my little brother Fulen, aren't you going to invite me in for a seat?" the handsome man from the Abraham Family said.

However, Fulen could observe an undeniable gloom between Amadi's brows, and the lines at the corners of his eyes and the bloodshot in his eyes also indicated that this elder had expended a great deal of energy in yesterday's battle, even working all night.

Fulen did not delay but courteously ushered the elder into the house. After looking around, he closed the main Door and then led in this elder, who was possibly the only Abraham elder in Trier.

Fulen did not lead Amadi into the study where he had just been reading the newspaper, but instead led him into another unused living room. Speaking of which, Fulen was also getting familiar with this villa, which did not look like it was inhabited by only three people.

If Fulen had initially been very satisfied with his villa, feeling as if he had arrived at an old European noble's home, after seeing Melanie Villa yesterday, Fulen realized that his own decoration was actually only slightly better than the houses inhabited by some commoners.

Amadi looked at the surrounding living room, smiled, and said, "Fulen, although we only met yesterday, the situation is special now, so let me call you by a more intimate address. This time, the Abraham Family's loss is enormous. If you hadn't come, it might have been a little better, but it's hard to say."

Taking a deep breath, Amadi continued, "Fulen, you are one of the successors appointed by Lefu, and I won't hide it from you. I have a bad news and a good news for you. Which do you want to hear first?"

Fulen inwardly complained, "No way, not only is there an Open the Door trope, but also such an old-fashioned multiple-choice question." Then he honestly said, "Let's hear the bad news first. I already have a premonition that something will happen."

Amadi looked at Fulen's calm expression and laughed, "Don't be so nervous. Although the situation is serious, it's not yet critical. In fact, this incident doesn't even rank among the top ten most dangerous experiences for our Abraham Family after its decline. There's no need to worry too much." Then Amadi cleared his throat and said, "Everyone who participated in the gathering, except for the three of us, died. Everyone was brutally soul-searched, and a large number of people were eliminated by following the clues. And the Demoness you identified was not just a Sequence 7, but a Sequence 6."

Amadi looked at Fulen's face, which had become somewhat unsightly but quickly recovered, and he nodded in affirmation. He then continued, "But you don't need to be too anxious. We killed that 'Joy' Demoness. If nothing unexpected happens, you should be fine. However, the 'Pain' Demoness who came with 'Joy' might be difficult for you to handle."

Upon hearing this, Fulen was both shocked by the resilience of the two Abraham elders and amazed by the power of a True God family. A force that could casually deploy Sequence 6 and Sequence 5 was terrifying. Then he suddenly remembered something and quickly asked, "Mr. Amadi, what about you? Your basic information should have been exposed, and what about the Abrahams in Trier?"

Amadi said without much worry, "Don't worry about me, they can't do anything to me. And since I would reveal my basic information, I would be prepared. I am an experienced Apprentice, and I am very familiar with Trier's territory. It's impossible for them to catch me."

"I'm telling you all this simply to say, don't meddle in other people's business. Pretend you're not an Abraham. Your identity is Fulen Freeman. Honestly digest the potion, and only contact me after you become an Astrologer. Alright, time is running out. I still have to arrange some matters for the Abraham Family. It's just a pity about Lefu."

After Amadi quickly finished speaking, he sighed, thinking of something, and then fell silent.

Seeing this, Fulen comforted him, "You don't need to worry. Lefu's sacrifice will not be in vain. The Abraham Family's resilience is something no one can destroy. Believe me, and I will believe you too."

Amadi quickly reverted to his former cheerful demeanor and said in a relaxed and pleasant tone, "Alright, alright, I came to comfort you, no need to comfort me. Actually, I've thought about it for a long time. So, you continue to work hard. I won't contact you during this period, no, for a very long time. But in a year, no, in ten months, I will come to help you reinforce the divination barrier that Lefu set up for you."

As soon as he finished speaking, Amadi quickly tore open space, then turned and left, his decisiveness and ruthlessness leaving Fulen stunned.

"Am I that scary?" Fulen thought speechlessly.

Turning his head, Fulen looked at the time on his pocket watch and found that it was almost 11 o'clock. Fulen didn't want to go to the Trier National Library right now, but thinking of the upcoming literary salon, Fulen couldn't help but feel a headache coming on. It seemed that he could only rely on Kvedo's line now, and the Demoness family might cause him trouble at any time. At this point, Fulen could only relieve his headache by lightly patting his forehead.

After recovering from his slumped state in the chair, Fulen forced himself to go to the Trier National Library immediately, sighing, "What a misfortune."

Then, Fulen quickly changed his clothes, thinking that he must hire a temporary laundry servant to wash his clothes today. Without a washing machine, washing clothes was really time-consuming and laborious, and he had to race against time.

After Fulen left the house, he used his familiar method to stop a coachman. After stating his destination, he seemed to collapse onto the carriage from exhaustion, feeling drained. Today's coachman was not as talkative as yesterday's, but Fulen only felt relieved; he didn't want to talk much right now.
