Love Behind the Kremlin Walls
Sasha's heart was racing as she sped through the winding streets of Berlin, Nikolai's words echoing in her mind. "Get out of here, Sasha. Find Jack, and get out of the country." It was a simple plan, but it was the only one she had.
As she drove, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. The KGB was relentless, and she knew it was only a matter of time before they tracked her down. She had to move fast.
She pulled up to a small, nondescript building on the outskirts of town. This was the meeting point, the place where she was supposed to meet Jack. She got out of the car, her eyes scanning the shadows, searching for any sign of him.
And then, she saw him. Jack was standing in the doorway, his eyes locked on hers, a look of relief washing over his face. Sasha's heart skipped a beat as she ran towards him, throwing herself into his arms.
"I'm so sorry," she whispered, her voice muffled against his chest. "I was so scared."
Jack's arms wrapped around her, holding her tight. "You're safe now," he whispered, his voice low and soothing. "I've got you."
As they hugged, Sasha felt a sense of peace wash over her. She was safe, she was with Jack, and they were going to get out of this together.
But as they pulled back, Jack's expression turned serious. "We have to move, now," he said, his eyes scanning the shadows. "The KGB is closing in, and we have a window of about 30 minutes to get out of here."
Sasha nodded, her mind racing. "What's the plan?"
Jack took her hand, leading her towards a waiting car. "We've got a contact, a pilot who's willing to fly us out of here. We have to get to the airport, and hope that we can make it out before the KGB catches up with us."
Sasha's heart was racing as they sped through the streets, the city blurring past them in a haze. They were running out of time, and she knew it.
As they reached the airport, Jack's contact was waiting for them, a gruff-looking man with a thick beard. "Let's move," he growled, leading them towards a small plane.
Sasha's heart was pounding as they took off, the ground falling away beneath them. They were leaving Berlin behind, leaving the KGB and their troubles behind.
But as they soared into the night sky, Sasha couldn't shake the feeling that they were not alone. The KGB was relentless, and she knew that they would stop at nothing to catch them.
The plane's engines roared as they flew over the border, into the safety of the West. Sasha felt a sense of relief wash over, but she knew that they were not out of the woods yet.
The KGB would never give up, and she knew that they would have to be careful, always looking over their shoulders, always waiting for the knock on the door.
But for now, they were free, and that was all that mattered.
As they flew towards their new life, Jack took her hand, his eyes locked on hers. "We're in this together, always," he said, his voice low and husky.
Sasha smiled, feeling a sense of hope and love that she had never felt before. "Always," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the roar of the engines.
