In the city of Seoul there was a school called Myungduk Foreign Language High School. There was a boy named Dewei he is the quiet
boy and he loves to read. Their was a boy named Hao he is very popular talkative and loves playing sports and people loved him. Dewei was in 11th grade and same with Hao. They had a couple classes together. Hao noticed Dewei so he sat next to him and said "hey I'm Hao what's your name?" Dewei didn't say anything then Hao asked again "what's your name?" Then Dewei noticed him and said, "I'm Dewei." Hao smiled and left with his friends. Dewei didn't care much that he left he just kept reading .
When Hao left he was thinking about how Dewei was so quiet he thought it was kind of rude but he didn't mind it. Dewei was confused but he just kept reading. On May 2nd 2001 was Dewei's birthday he just turned 17 years old and nobody said happy birthday to him but he didn't mind. When they were on the bus to go home Hao saw his grandmother say happy birthday to him while they were both getting off. Hao went to his house and made a small present for Dewei and went to his house. *Knock knock knock* Dewei opens the door "Hi Dewei happy birthday here's a present for you." Hao gives the present to Dewei "Thank you Hao." Dewei's grandmother comes over to the door and asked Hao "would like to stay for dinner I made rice, Kimchi, pho, and Dim sum." Hao nods his head yes and bows down and he comes inside. "Thank you auntie." Dewei's grandmother smiles and after they ate Hao offers to clean the dishes, Dewei's grandmother says "there's no worry you should get home to your family they must be worried." Dewei bows down and washes the dishes. Dewei says "thank you for the present and for offering to wash the dishes." Dewie goes upstairs to go grab something for Hao and comes back "here you go this is a present for you." Hao takes it bows down and leaves.
Hao comes home to his father and Hao's father slaps Hao, his father screams and says "WHERE THE ACUAL HELL HAVE YOU BEEN YOU LITTLE FUCKER!" Hao didn't react he knew his father was drunk. "Dad I'm sorry." Hao's father went to the couch his hands on his eyes. Hao goes upstairs and opens the gift that Dewei gave him, he opens it and sees a paper and he reads it "hi Hao this paper I am giving you it's me saying your an amazing person and I like you I have since I was in 7th grade and you were in 8th grade and if you don't feel the same way that's ok I just want to tell you we can be friends if that's cool with you." Hao's eye's widen in shock "Dewei I never noticed."
Dewei couldn't sleep that night he was so nervous about what Hao might think of him. The next day they got on the bus Dewei put his headphones on and looked out the window it had been raining someone taps Dewei's shoulder it was a kid named Kenji and he starts flirting with Dewei "what song are you listening to pretty boy." Dewei looks really uncomfortable moving away from Kenji "uhm I'm listening to sweater weather." Kenji locks hands with Dewei then Hao comes over and says "let his hands go your making him uncomfortable let's go Dewei." Hao offers his hand for Dewei to grab. Dewei looks down and grabs his hand, "Uhm Hao I'm sorry about that note yesterday." Hao looks at Dewei like he's crazy "Dewei I like you too." Dewei looks up kind of in shocked "y-y-y-you do?"
