BOOOOM!

In a thunderous explosion, Fang Yang's fist collided head-on with the Thousand-Year Crystal Bear.

The Heavenly Flame energy erupted on contact—overwhelming, unstoppable.

Crack… crack… crack!

A series of crisp fractures echoed.

Across the bear's crystalline paw—renowned for turning all matter to crystal— spiderweb cracks spread like wildfire.

The rampaging Heavenly Flame tore through its defenses like paper!

ROOOOAR!

The Crystal Bear let out a soul-rending howl, its three-meter frame convulsing violently.

Fang Yang's flame-wreathed fist punched straight through its chest.

Inside, Heavenly Flame raged unchecked—flesh and bone vaporizing into ash.

Through the gaping wound, its organs were visibly consumed by fire.

THUD!

The beast collapsed like a felled mountain, shaking the earth.

Its amber eyes dimmed, life fading into darkness.

Fang Yang slowly withdrew his fist—residual flames still curling around his knuckles.

He stared at the fallen bear, surprise flickering in his eyes.

It couldn't even survive a single punch?

In the control room, silence reigned.

Wu Zhangkong's emerald eyes remained wide with lingering shock.

"Th-this…" Long Hengxu stood with his mouth agape, utterly speechless.

Fang Yang shook his hand, the Heavenly Flame receding into his body.

He turned to Gu Yue, voice soft with concern: "Gu Yue—are you alright?"

"I'm fine…" Gu Yue shook her head—but her face was pale, exhaustion etched into her features.

Before she could finish—her legs gave out.

She staggered forward, collapsing.

"Careful!" Fang Yang leapt forward, catching her in his arms.

Her soft body carried a faint, delicate fragrance, making his heart skip.

He felt her rapid breaths, her trembling frame—evidence of the soul power she'd drained evading the bear.

Just then—a purple stream of thousand-year spirit beast energy burst from the bear's corpse—splitting into two, flying toward Fang Yang and Gu Yue.

Fang Yang felt a warm surge—his soul spirit's age visibly increased.

"Feeling better?" he murmured, looking down at her.

Gu Yue nodded, a faint blush coloring her cheeks. "Mm… Fang Yang, put me down."

Reluctantly, he set her on her feet.

After a brief rest, he suggested, "From now on, let's move together."

"Alright," Gu Yue agreed softly.

Hand in hand, they ventured deeper into the Platform—hunting spirit beasts to further age their soul spirits.

Meanwhile, on the forest's far side—

"Xie Xie—over here!" Tang Wulin shouted urgently.

His first yellow soul ring blazed.

"First Soul Skill: Blue Silver Bind!"

Blue Silver Grass lashed out like serpents, deep-blue vines wrapping the Hundred-Year One-Horned Dragon's limbs, their surfaces shimmering with arcane patterns.

"Coming!"

Xie Xie leapt into the air, Light Dragon Dagger carving a golden arc.

SCHLICK!

The blade sliced the dragon's neck—its weak point.

ROOOAR!

With a piteous wail, the beast crashed to the ground, kicking up dust.

Tang Wulin and Xie Xie exchanged relieved smiles—foreheads glistening with sweat.

As they absorbed the spirit beast's energy, preparing to advance—

rustling.

From the underbrush, a horrifying black spider emerged.

Its 1.5-meter body gleamed with chitinous armor.

Eight legs—over two meters long—curved like scythes.

Most terrifying: a human face, formed by white patterns on its abdomen—still smeared with fresh blood.

"No—Thousand-Year Man-Faced Demon Spider!" Xie Xie's face paled. He grabbed Tang Wulin's wrist, yanking him backward.

Too late.

The spider's eight purple compound eyes gleamed with cruelty.

Its abdomen swelled—and a ten-meter-wide web plummeted from above.

The sticky strands shimmered with toxic purple light—lethal venom dripping.

Worse—three smaller Man-Faced Spiders emerged from the trees, encircling them.

The spiders didn't attack.

Instead, they anchored webs to ancient trees, weaving a tightening death cage—layer upon layer of silk sealing all escape routes.

"Xie Xie… we're surrounded," Tang Wulin said grimly.

Blue Silver Grass coiled in his hands, deep-blue patterns pulsing.

Xie Xie gripped his Light Dragon Dagger, eyes blazing with resolve. "Wulin—let's fight to the end!"

In the control room, an attendant turned anxiously to Wu Zhangkong.

"Four Man-Faced Spiders—one thousand-year! Should we extract them?"

Wu Zhangkong's gaze shifted to another screen, two blips—Fang Yang and Gu Yue—racing toward Tang Wulin's position at alarming speed.

"Wait a little longer," he said softly, emerald eyes gleaming with anticipation.

Man-Faced Spiders—renowned for speed, venom, and lethal strikes—

were forest assassins, bringing only terror and death.

"Wulin—we can't wait!" Xie Xie hissed, eyes locked on the closing web. "We'll be entombed alive!"

"Understood! Watch my control!" Tang Wulin replied, eyes sharpening.

His first and second yellow soul rings ignited simultaneously.

"First Soul Skill: Blue Silver Bind!"

"Second Soul Skill: Blue Silver Thorn Array!"

The deep-blue patterns on his vines blazed with light.

Thorny tendrils erupted, piercing the spiders' armored legs.

"XIE XIE!" Tang Wulin barked—voice ironclad.

Xie Xie didn't hesitate—his second yellow ring flared.

Light Dragon Dagger blazed with golden power.

"Second Soul Skill: Light Dragon Storm!"

In an instant, Xie Xie became a golden cyclone, his dagger tracing countless lethal arcs through the air.
