Before Zarek could speak, Maelina stepped forward.
"Seer Lily."
Adara's expression changed into disbelief, but she quickly masked it.
"Seer Lily?" she repeated slowly. "And why would humans be interested in a royal seer… and worse, the esteemed High Seer's grandmother?"
Her eyes narrowed.
"That name is not traded lightly."
Maelina almost smirked at the irony.
"Is that concern I hear?" she asked.
Adara's gaze hardened. "It's curiosity."
Maelina lifted her chin. "That's none of your business," she said smoothly. "Didn't you say money is what matters?"
For a brief second, silence stretched between them. Then Adara smiled again.
"I did."
Her eyes flicked toward Zarek once more, as if reassessing the situation.
"Information of that magnitude is expensive," she said. "Especially when it concerns royalty."
Adara's eyes gleamed with calculation.
"So tell me… how badly do you want to find her?"
Maelina didn't hesitate. "Name your price."
