Chapter 2 - Ezekiel

Werewolves Kingdom. East!

In an ancient throne hall, six cold-looking men in dark attire sat around a huge, expensive wooden table.

Three of them wore black with long hair. One of them, the only blonde, sat facing the other three who wore red and black with shorter hair.

They were glaring at each other as if they could attack at any moment. The blonde-haired one, Simon, sighed. "We can't make things right if we continue like this!"

"Humph! Then tell your fellow Werewolves to stop killing us with their looks," one of the men in red, Levi, sneered.

"Stop showing us your fangs!" the man sitting beside Simon shot back.

"Joshua…?" Simon raised a brow.

"How dare you talk to me like that?" Levi's eyes narrowed.

"Can you two stop?!" Simon snapped, raising his voice. "We are here because of the supreme Alphas for goodness' sake!"

"Yes, you should be thankful we honoured your asses by coming over to help your Alphas…"

"Wait, wait…" Simon frowned at Levi. "You mean our alphas?"

Levi raised a brow. "Whose Alpha is Ezekiel? Is he not the Alpha to all Alphas? Isn't that why he's supreme? And his twin brother, Sabestian, who was crowned as the ruler of the Moon pack and Wood pack?"

Joshua laughed mockingly. "Even if you weren't born in their regime, didn't your father or forefathers tell you about them?"

The eyes of the men in red turned blood-red. In the next moment, Levi's fangs grew out and he flew at Joshua, knocking him off his chair and pinning him to the wall by his neck. "How dare you…." His red eyes burned as his fangs grew longer.

"Stop!!!" Simon rushed in and forced them apart. Levi and Joshua were thrown meters away.

Simon's eyes turned golden as he glared. "Is supreme Alpha Ezekiel and Sabestian a joke to you?" He glared at Levi, as Levi dusted his cape and sat back down nonchalantly.

"Levi," Simon's voice switched from plain to cold, carrying authority that defined his rank.

Levi grunted. "What is it now? Everyone heard him mention my father! He has no right!"

"Joshua and your father were born the same year," Simon said with a raised brow.

Levi stared at Joshua in disbelief. Joshua smirked and waved dramatically. "Hi, son."

"The Werewolves have longer lifespans than vampires. I know you're here because your Dracula sent you."

"Just wondering why he didn't come himself," the third Werewolf, Silas, finally spoke.

"Don't mention our King like that."

Simon glared at all of them. Then he faced Levi. "Our supreme Alphas have supported vampires many times in the past. That's why your Dracula needs to be present. Together, we will be there when the chosen witch finishes the ritual to bring them back." They had been waiting for this moment, hoping the moon goddess would help them bring the twins back. No one could handle the Werewolves better than the twins.

"But you also know you'll be bringing back that evil witch too?!" Klaus frowned. "You know how desperate she is to control both vampires and Werewolves!"

Simon sighed. "Don't worry, they will take care of her. Or why would the prophecy choose a witch as…" He paused and looked at Silas. "Isn't that witch their mate?"

"Seems so. Witches don't need to wait for the full moon to know, especially when it's their princess. Well, they have the prophecy and we have the moon goddess," Silas chuckled. "It will be a great war when they realise their mate is a witch, but the most important thing is bringing them back."

Simon nodded and looked at the vampires. "We need you there that day. The black witches will try to use that chance to attack them…"

Levi frowned. "Attack them? I heard about those two, especially the eldest, Ezekiel. Humph! Everyone says he's the most powerful Alpha in history. Then how were witches able to defeat him?" He laughed. "Oh right, they said he was lured into a forever sleep and buried in an abandoned church in the middle of a forbidden forest with his crazy twin brother?" He roared with laughter. "Well, the thing is, ahhhh!!!...."

He suddenly grabbed his neck, struggling to breathe. His fellow vampires were shocked as an invisible barrier pushed them back, keeping them from helping him.

Levi was thrown against the solid wall, trapped between the ceiling and the floor, stuck mid-air. He gasped for air, blood starting to drip from his mouth.

The vampires gasped. They looked at the Werewolves, who all had amused expressions, especially Joshua, who watched the scene with full interest.

"What are you doing? Help him!" Klaus roared.

"Hel…help…me…ahh…hel…LP me…"

Levi's mouth widened and, in the next moment, tore apart, his whole body ripping open and thrown to the ground.

Klaus stared in horror at Levi's dead body. "What just happened?"

"Told Dracula they aren't normal Werewolves, but he ignored me…"

"What just happened?" Apollo, the third vampire, whispered as Levi's body turned to ashes instantly.

"This is a warning to anyone who dares disrespect them. They are always with us…"

"They should leave…" Simon paused as he heard a whisper.

Klaus narrowed his eyes. "He's speaking to you?"

Simon cleared his throat. "Why would you say that? Aren't vampires blessed with hearing abilities?" He stood. "You should leave and inform your Dracula. He should be prepared…"

"He must be there…" the whisper came again.

"No, he must be there," Simon repeated.

Klaus and Apollo exchanged a look, nodded, and leapt away. After they disappeared, Simon, Joshua, and Silas bowed.

"As you suggested, supreme Alpha Ezekiel."

Ophelia's palace.

The high-ranking witches were seated while Ophelia sat tiredly on her throne, deep in thought.

"I don't believe those Alphas are ordinary Werewolves. Athena must have seen something before she tried to kill them," Peter said, and they all nodded. "We've been trying to investigate Alice, their mother, but we have no clue…"

"She's a werewolf," Selena, the oldest, said. They all looked at her in confusion.

"A white wolf."

"But I heard they have strange abilities…" a man in his early sixties said.

"Just a rumour, Lucas. If she weren't a wolf, how would Hella's sacrifice accept her?"

This caught Ophelia's attention. "Alice is the person my grandmother sacrificed for power?"

"Of course, Your Majesty. She's the princess of the Werewolves and has a brother, Julius, who currently rules the Ocean pack and is temporarily the ruler of all Werewolves. Your mother couldn't bear it that's why she linked their life together and poisoned herself"

Miranda looked at Ophelia nervously. "Did…did the twins know about it?"

"Of course. They were only twelve when it happened."

"We are doomed!!" Sarah, the youngest, shook her head. Megan was her childhood friend and she could not bear to let her go to the Werewolves Kingdom to become their Luna. Werewolves would never accept a witch as their Luna, and those Alphas would surely avenge their mother.

Megan was too weak, almost like a human. It wouldn't take them two seconds to snap her neck.

"Then how are they as powerful as I'm hearing? We need to think carefully before we wake them," Peter said.

"The prophecy cannot be shaken. She must bring them back tomorrow, the full moon!" Selena sighed. "I don't know what their moon goddess is thinking, choosing our princess for both of them."
