Chapter 21 - 21

"And who might you be?"

"I'm the knights' commander, Celea."

"She's my mate," Claus said, looking at his brothers.

"Wrong. I don't identify as a mate, but as Celea the commander in this palace and a complete stranger outside this palace."

Claus frowned at her ridiculous words.

"Phahaha," laughed one of the brothers.

"I like her," he said, rising from his seat and walking toward Celea, extending his hand.

"I'm Hadeon, Hadeon Artemis."

"Celea."

"And that's my other brother, Zhen."

Celea said,

"The chaotic one," pointing at Hadeon.

"The calm one," pointing at Zhen.

"And the angry one," pointing at Claus.

"How did I get tangled with the one that's the hardest to deal with?" sigh

"I agree with you. He is always angry," said Hadeon.

Claus was frowning.

"Enough talking!" Claus snapped.

"He's angry that he's not part of our conversation," Hadeon said.

"I know," Celea and Hadeon whispered.

"Where have you been, Celea?"

"I'm pretty sure my parents are dead. I mean, you made sure of that, so why does it feel like I'm being scolded by parents I don't have?" Celea asked.

"Lycan, there are two kinds of people in this world. One: the king. Two: the subordinate. Do you know which one I am?"

The brothers were looking at her.

"I'm the third—the one who doesn't care who the king is."

"So you better stop acting like one with me." Celea gave the king a death stare, which Claus returned.

"Now that we've made that clear, see you tomorrow at the council, everyone."

With that, she left.

"You finally found someone to put you in your place," Zhen said.

——

Bang

"Good morning"

"How come you are always late?" asked the Beta

"What are you talking about, isn't the main character supposed to be late?"

sigh

Celea walked into the council room where the subordinates, the brothers, Zela and some other witches were already sitting.

"Just sit down, Celea"

"I was going to do just that, King"

Celea sat down next to Hedeon.

He was giggling at her grand entrance.

"Welcome, main character," Hedeon whispered.

"Good to see you, supportive character," Celea whispered back, and Hedeon giggled once again.

"King, I'm the witches' representative and I'm here to ask for an alliance," Zela said.

"I thought the witches were a neutral party who liked to work independently."

"And we are still independent, don't get it wrong. The witches aren't here to surrender to the lycans but to ally for the greater cause, and that is to defeat a common enemy."

"Wow… she's so cool, no wonder she left him," Celea whispered to Hedeon as if no one could hear her.

"Trust me, I know," Hedeon whispered back.

Even Zhen giggled a little at the two's conversation. The Beta could only mind-slap his forehead.

"Celea, what do you think about allying with the witches?" Claus asked out of the blue.

"Wow, that's unexpected—the King asking for help. But I think that's a rather obvious answer. Our enemy is not just anyone but the Devil himself and his whole Hell. It's not going to be easy to defeat him, so we will need everyone. Not to mention this war is a good occasion for the whole magical realm to put its hatred of other species aside and fight for a common purpose."

Celea was now serious, which surprised the new people in the room who only knew her sarcastic side.

"The witches are welcome to join. In three days, I will leave for the fairy territory and convince them to join too."

"You can't make the fairies join. They will never accept. They are peaceful creatures who enjoy peace the most and hate violence," said someone from the council.

"Let me remind you that you also called getting the dragons on our side impossible, yet I came flying on the Dragon King's head yesterday."

"A person who has nothing to lose and a person who has people to protect are the ones who will always win."

"I'm both."

"How can you be both?"

"That is for me to know and for you to mind your business," Celea said to the subordinate.
