Chapter 133 - [133 ]Giants Fall, Haki Awakens

Ten days and ten nights of unrelenting battle finally came to a crashing end.

Brogy's colossal frame slammed into the earth, shaking the island like a thunderclap. His body was a map of brutal wounds, chest heaving as he glared up at Ross. The young Celestial Dragon stood unscathed, his clothes untouched by the chaos.

"You're one hell of a fighter," Brogy rasped, blood flecking his lips.

The giant had held his own at first. For three days, Ross merely pressed him back, their clash carving paths from the island's heart to its jagged shores—and even into the churning waves beyond. Giants could endure wars like this without breaking, but by day four, Brogy's stamina flagged. Ross, however, showed no wear, his power steady as the tide.

From day seven on, it was over. Brogy couldn't parry the onslaught. Ross's strikes landed deeper each time, shattering bone and muscle beneath unyielding skin. Now, spent and broken, the giant couldn't even rise.

Ross, for his part, felt invigorated. This marathon brawl was exactly what his body craved—pushing limits without shattering them.

Truth be told, he could've ended it sooner, even without Devil Fruit powers. By day five, Brogy was slipping. But Ross dragged it out, honing a new edge to his Armament Haki: internal destruction. It let him bypass that iron hide, pulverizing organs from the inside out.

The extra days were pure practice. And the payoff? Worth every swing.

His status flickered in his mind's eye:

[Combat Technique: Armament Haki (S)]

All three Haki types now hit S-rank—though Conqueror's still lacked that advanced infusion. Even so, with Armament at this level, Ross could trade blows with the legends. No more getting outclassed.

"Hah! A real warrior at last. Remember my name—Brogy, captain of the Giant Warrior Pirates!"

Brogy's laugh boomed like cannon fire. Blood sprayed from his mouth, and his eyes rolled back as darkness claimed him. His guts were pulp from Ross's final barrages; he'd only stayed upright through sheer giant stubbornness.

In his final moments, though, Brogy wore a grin. A death in glorious combat? That was a warrior's dream fulfilled.

"Rest easy," Ross murmured, tipping his head in salute. True strength deserved respect.

He turned toward Gion's battlefield.

[A-rank kill confirmed!]

[Strength +500,000]

[Special Reward: Hakoku Sovereignty]

The surge hit like a storm—Ross's power rocketing to S+. In raw physique alone, he matched Big Mom's monstrous frame. He glanced at his stats:

[Strength: 20.24 million/50 million (S+)]

Thirty million more to the next tier. Not happening overnight. But at S+ and beyond, Ross figured he could finally challenge the shadow on the Empty Throne.

As for the Hakoku Sovereignty reward? It clicked into place—a dual-wield technique for bladed weapons. Two fighters syncing strikes to unleash devastation beyond their sum. Slick, but it demanded perfect harmony and shared mastery of the force behind it.

Useless solo for now. Ross filed it away and pressed on.

Gion's fight wrapped quicker than his, but the carnage here chilled deeper than the miles-wide scars he'd left. No shattered landscapes—just rivers of blood and the stench of slaughter.

Dorry's hundred-meter bulk sprawled in a pool of his own gore, chest rising faintly. He clung to life by a thread.

Gion perched on a nearby ridge, her World Government uniform in tatters. Crimson coated her like a hellforged plate, her lithe form radiating lethal frost. Blood wept from her naginata, Konpira, soaking the dirt red. Her black hair, matted and slick, framed a face both exquisite and terrifying—a reaper from the abyss.

It was her ultimate form. Ross had heard tales, but seeing it? Haunting. Beautiful. Untouchable.

"Saint Ross."

She exhaled, spotting him. Weariness softened her gaze. The Bat-Bat Fruit, Model: Vampire kept her body tireless, but her mind? That wore down after endless hours. Her bout ended first, yet she'd waited, eyes on his distant clash. No rest until he was safe.

And there he was—pristine, while she dripped like a battlefield survivor.

Dorry and Brogy were equals. Ross's easy win said it all: he outstripped her now.

When they'd met, he'd trailed just behind. She'd clawed for gains these past weeks, surging ahead. Yet he pulled further away. No matter her effort, she couldn't close the gap.

"You okay?" Ross asked, shrugging off his coat.

He draped it over her, pulling her into a firm embrace. Her blood "armor"—a clever mix of vampire control and his seawater manipulation—shed away effortlessly, sealing modesty and wounds alike. As the last crimson layer flaked off, she released her transformation. The gentle beauty returned, wrapped in his jacket.

"It was perfect," Gion said with a tired smile. "Sparring with powerhouses like you stopped pushing me. I needed this—real stakes, life on the line."

Ross nodded. He could tell. Her rating had leaped from A to A+. A massive step for her.

The island's giants were broken, their duel of honor twisted into a forge for greater warriors. But Little Garden's wild heart still beat. What secrets—or threats—lurked in the untamed wilds ahead?
