Chapter 9 - Three Siblings

The day shifted gently into a new beginning, and the bright morning light spilled through the curtains of the mansion. Warm rays landed softly on Kazien Altavis, whose silver-white hair shimmered faintly as he slowly opened his sapphire-blue eyes.

Beside him, Alvin stirred as well, his golden-yellow hair glowing like spun sunlight, and his mint-green eyes blinking in drowsy confusion.

But the peaceful waking didn't last long—because the moment Kazien fully remembered what day it was, his entire body jolted.

Ah! I promised Rosalia that I would introduce Brother William to her today! Kazien pressed his palm to his forehead dramatically.

Brother William will lead this region in the future, yet he still doesn't have a wife. Seriously… what a troublesome brother!

He sighed—but then quickly smiled. Rosalia is perfect. She's beautiful, gentle, and capable. There's no way Brother William won't like her.

Kazien sat up abruptly and tugged on Alvin's hand. "Alvin, come on. Let's bathe. We need to get ready."

Alvin blinked. "Where are we going?" he asked, confused by Kazien's sudden excitement.

"We're going to the guild with Brother William!" Kazien declared proudly. "I'm introducing him to Rosalia today!"

Alvin chuckled softly. "Hahaha… are you seriously trying to match him with that receptionist?"

"My brother is the future heir," Kazien said firmly. "And the heir must have a wife!"

That was the end of the discussion. Alvin, though amused, followed him to the bathroom.

Meanwhile, in the mansion's backyard, William was already awake—swinging his sword gracefully beneath the morning sun. His long white hair fluttered behind him like a trail of moonlight. Every movement was sharp, precise, and elegant. He was beautiful in motion, like a blade dancing to its own silent rhythm.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

Startled by the sudden applause, William stopped mid-swing and turned to see Kazien and Alvin approaching.

"A beautiful form, Brother William," Kazien said with a bright grin.

William narrowed his eyes suspiciously.

"Hahh… just tell me why you came here," he sighed. "I know your personality too well."

"Hahaha! Brother William, you understand me so deeply. I've fallen for you," Kazien teased dramatically.

"Shut up. Don't ever say something like that! And I will NEVER fall for you!"

Kazien simply laughed harder.

"So? What is it?" William asked again.

Kazien clasped his hands behind his back mischievously. "Brother, get ready and wear something nice. I want to introduce you to a woman."

William froze, William's eyes twitched. "Don't tell me you intend to set me up with her. I refuse!"

"Brother," Kazien said with a proud smile, "aren't you ashamed? I already have a cute future wife like Alvin!"

Alvin blushed instantly. "M-My dear…"

"It won't work on me," William said flatly.

Kazien pouted, then leaned close and posed cutely. "Come on, Brother~ are you—"

Squish!

William grabbed his cheeks mercilessly. "Your cute pose has no effect on me."

Kazien flailed. "Ow—! Let go! You brute!"

After being released, Kazien glared dramatically.

"If you refuse, I'll beg Father to arrange a political marriage for you!"

That finally made William's sword raise defensively as he shouted, "Don't you dare say anything that ridiculous to Father!"

"Then go meet her! I promise you won't regret it!"

William exhaled deeply—long and defeated. "…Fine. I'll prepare myself. Wait in front of the mansion."

Kazien beamed victoriously. "Okay! Come on, Alvin!"

Kazien and Alvin waited in the front yard. Alvin leaned toward him.

"My dear… it really seems like Brother William doesn't like your plan."

"Don't worry, Alvin. That's just how he is. He's already curious by now," Kazien said confidently. "Just watch—he'll fall for Rosalia at first sight."

Alvin wasn't fully convinced, but he nodded. "Okay…"

Just then, the door opened, and another figure stepped out. Davin, with his messy red hair, raised a brow.

"What are you two doing here?"

"We're waiting for Brother William," Kazien answered.

Davin's curiosity instantly flared.

They're dressed so nicely… Are they meeting someone?

"Are you three going somewhere?"

Both Kazien and Alvin nodded.

"I'm free today," Davin said casually. "Can I come?"

"Are you sure?" Kazien asked. "We're just going to the adventurer's guild. I want William to meet a beautiful receptionist."

Davin's eyes sparkled. A beauty? Introduced by Kazien? Must be truly beautiful woman.

"I'm coming," he declared confidently.

Moments later, William exited the mansion—and paused upon seeing Davin.

"Davin? Why are you here? Don't you have military training?"

"That can wait." Davin said smugly. "I'm curious about the woman you're being introduced to!"

William rubbed his temples. "Do whatever you want. Let's go."

The four of them walked out through the gates. The guards stiffened in surprise. It was rare—unheard of—to see all three Altavis brothers walking together without a noble carriage.

"Brother William," Kazien chimed, "we're going to the guild."

"So she works there?" William asked, brows furrowing.

"Yes! She's a receptionist. Beautiful, elegant and even I can tell she's gorgeous!"

Davin burst out laughing at that. And his loud laughter instantly drew attention.

"Kyaa! Young Master William! Young Master Davin! Young Master Kazien! And the elf—they're walking together!"

"They look so handsome!"

William glared at Davin, but Davin laughed even harder.

"Brother Davin, why are you laughing?" Alvin asked.

"Because your future husband isn't interested in women—but praises this receptionist as if she's a gorgeous. That's hilarious!"

"She's really beautiful!" Kazien argued. "Just look at her later!"

"Hahaha, I will."

William sighed deeply. "…You three are hopeless."

Finally, they reached the guild doors.

"Ready?" Kazien asked.

"Let's go," William and Davin said.

Creaaak!

Inside, eyes turned toward them instantly.

"Why are the three young masters here?!"

"They're so handsome!"

"Too bad the elf is already young master Kazien's future wife…"

Kazien scratched his cheek awkwardly—hearing that always made him flustered.

They approached the reception desk. Then—Rosalia looked up.

Her long pink hair flowed behind her, glowing under the sunlit guild lamps. Her soft blue eyes widened in surprise at the sight of the four handsome young nobles standing before her.

She greeted them with a warm smile.

"Welcome to the Lazavis City adventurer's guild. I'm Rosalia. How may I assist you today?"

Kazien stepped forward with confidence.

"Yes, we need something."

Rosalia tilted her head slightly. "What can I do for you, young master Kazien?"

Kazien smiled brightly.

"I want you to meet William—my handsome brother."

Rosalia froze.

Her lips parted ever so slightly.

Her heartbeat skipped.

Her eyes trembled and widened, reflecting William's figure like ripples on water.

Painted on her face was a mixture of

shock, awe and something she couldn't hide captivation.
