Alex opened his eyes and saw a little girl who was Ten or Eleven years old. She looks very kind; her presence makes Alex comfortable. Her voice is so soft; every word she says hears like a song, but what made her stand out was her hair—a striking shock of white. Beside her stood the old man, a stark contrast with weathered skin, deeply etched with lines that spoke of decades spent under the sun and in the wind. His hair, now a soft cloud of gray, had thinned and receded with time, a proud crown of wisdom atop his head. His hands, though rough and worn, held a gentleness as he gazed down at the girl, his eyes reflecting decades of life's lessons. His presence was steady, like a lighthouse guiding the way.
Alex notice his surroundings; he was at the center of a ruin.
The ruins stretched out in silent desolation, remnants of an age long forgotten. Crumbled stone and shattered walls lay scattered like bones of a fallen giant, their edges softened by time and moss. At the heart of it all stood a circular platform, untouched by decay, its surface etched with faint, glowing symbols that pulsed like a heartbeat beneath the dust.
In the center of the platform, six pillars rose into the air — tall, slender, and impossibly suspended. They stood without foundation or support, defying the laws of nature, their ancient stone hovering in stillness. Each pillar bore strange markings, half-eroded yet still shimmering faintly in the dim light, as though whispering secrets from an age when gods still walked the earth. The air was thick with silence and awe — the kind that presses against your chest — and anyone who stepped into that circle could feel it: the weight of forgotten power, and the sense that the ruins were not truly dead, only waiting.
"Finally, after 1000 years, our ancestors and we can finally rest in peace. "
Old man looked at Alex and smiled; he was happy and relieved to see Alex. He takes little girl's hand, and he introduces her grandchild; a little girl's name is Nonki Elsar. He told the little girl to get back and started forming some magic circles. Alex was confused and asked what he doing . Old man started explaining while casting a spell.
"ohh... Great Ancestor didn't tell you? Or he ran out of time!!"
Alex nods!
"Your stay in the world has been made possible by this magical formula. "
Alex Gasp!
Old man continues his castings. The air shimmered as power gathered around them, soft at first, like the hum of a distant melody. Then, one by one, circles of light flared into existence — delicate, intricate runes spinning in the air with graceful precision. Dozens became scores, scores became hundreds, until nearly a hundred magic circles bloomed around them like luminous flowers, overlapping and weaving together into a symphony of light. Each circle was unique — some traced with flowing sigils of gold, others etched in silver fire or sapphire mist. The glow painted their faces in hues of otherworldly beauty, their eyes reflecting galaxies of power. The air rippled with energy, yet it wasn't violent — it was beautiful, almost sacred, as though creation itself had paused to watch. Ruins are beginning are to feel alive again.
Little girl shouted "Grandpa." She was crying. Alex feels off something
"old man, what's happening? Why is she crying?"
The old man's casting has been completed, and he puts his hand down.
" For 1000 years we Elsar have only one goal: to make sure you will not die and we were providing our life energy to achieve it. And now it is almost complete you need only one life energy of a human to live in this world but Nonki's life energy is shortened from birth, her mother provided life energy when she was pregnant with her. Nonki's part of white hair is proof that when life energy is removed from someone, their hair turns white. So I am giving my remaining life energy to you then the remaining life energy will automatically transfer from Nonki to you"
To Alex, words fell like stones into still water, sending ripples through their soul. For a heartbeat, everything went silent — the wind, the world, even their thoughts. Then came the trembling, soft and slow, as reality sank in.
"Why? This is for me, old man. You didn't even know me. Stop the magic. I don't need your or anyone's life. Stop it."
A gold and sparkle gas from an old man flowed through to Alex. Old man started to become transparent; they were able to see across him. Nonki ran towards the old man while crying and trying holding him .Old man smiled, tears came out of his eyes, he wasn't sad or angry tears are of relief and happiness. Just before completely disappearing honest words were directed to Alex.
"I hope you can forgive my Ancestor."
After saying these last words, the old man disappears in gold sparkle gas. Nonki was crying on the ground. Alex doesn't know what to do because he thinks the old man dies because he feels guilty for comforting the little girl , when her family dies because of him. Nonki wipes her tears and stands up
"I am not a little girl. I am Nonki Elsar and Grandpa died because he and we Elsar decided our fate long ago; you are not responsible big brother."
Alex Startled, he pressed a palm to the back of his head.
" wait a minute how do know what was I am thinking."
Nonki says "My life energy is connected to you before my birth, so I am able to sense your emotions a little, but now you're so close to me, I can easily understand what you're thinking."
Alex crossed his hand and tried to concentrate
" But why I can't feels your emotion?"
"because you are not focusing our mana. Mage can gather his mana easily and without even knowing it, to us its like breathing "
Alex was taken back by how well and proper an explanation Nonki was giving.
" You are so mature for your age. Well I always wanted a little sister.. it's okay you can cry although I can't feel your emotions but I can tell.... "
Nonki, who was left alone without a single member of her family, cried until her eye turned red and the worse thing are that's her life energy is transmitted and when it is transmitted all she will die.
Alex looks around the ruin, and he finds there was a perfectly untouched place; it was like a long dining table, and the only chair in front looked like a throne. He started to walk towards it, but it disappeared. Alex looks some and for some brief moment got lost but Nonki found him; she had a bag packed as she was ready to head out.
Nonki smiled and happily said to our Greatest kingdom, The Maglonia. They started to walk; after a few steps Alex stopped; he was sweating and looked tensioned.
" What the heck! Why am I feeling like this is normal and I have to go to the Kingdom Maglonia."
Nonki pouted, her lower lip jutting out as she kicked in the air in frustration, clutching her bag tightly against her chest.
" I was hoping big brother didn't notice too soon ... like I say our life energy is connected and you were feeling my emotions. I always wanted to explore the world outside this place, and now I have only years left before my life energy completely transfers. So I am focusing on emotion to persuade big brother."
Alex loosened shoulders to take deep sigh. He puts his hand on his waist
"Listen Nonki I don't known what I have to do now or what I have to achieve but I promise you that You will not die nor I."
Nonki looked at Alex. He looked more confident than ever he had arrived; he wasn't shaking, nor were his eyes wavering; contradicting, his eyes were filled with kindness and confidence. Every word he said, he meant every word. Nonki got Goosebumps just looking into his eyes and some vague figures came into her thoughts for a second and disappeared.
Nonki replied "It's my duty-"
Alex interrupted Nonki and knelt down, took her both hands and softly and confidently said, "I don't care about your duty or whatsoever; you are not gonna die."
"Nor I, I am scaredy cat I definitely didn't want to die," he says laughingly.
Alex stands up and happily says " Let's go to the kingdom of Maglonia and will you tell me about it? How is it?"
Nonki smiled and started explaining
" Maglonia is Great Grand Grandfather's Kingdom and our home. For thousands of years, Elsar's didn't go back and lives here. This place is hidden; no one can find it, and only Elsar can enter this place. This is Great Grand Grandfather's place known as Sage Manor. "
Alex " Great Grand Grandfather ohh! Vardain Elsar. You mean he is king of kingdom, no wonder his presence feels like a noble."
Nonki "Although I didn't know much, he was known as a Sage the greatest of his time."
The ruins ended in a vast gate, towering and magnificent despite the centuries that had gnawed at it. Alex stopped, breath catching at the sight. The pillars were carved with patterns almost lost to time, the stone worn smooth where wind and sand had caressed it for ages. Sunlight slipped through the cracks, tracing the faded designs in gold. It was a miracle that it still stood at all—beauty carved into the bones of the world, defying the ruin around it.
Nonki walks toward some symbol carved into the grounds and closes her eyes, starts chanting some spells Alex can't understand a single word. As Nonki was chanting, Alex's thoughts and feelings became clear to him. He was terrified of all things happening and most of all he wanted to return home. Alex can also feel the emotion of Nonki clearly; she was also terrified. After feeling Nonki's emotions, Alex decided not to go home until she was happy and found her place .
"Okay! I am in another world so I must have some special power like the isekai genre I read and watch...."
Alex moved his eye to the corner to look for something, but he didn't find it.
"System! OPEN! STATUS" Alex shouted .
Alex got disappointed as nothing happened. Alex started thinking and reached the conclusion that there is a way to get a system.
" Right it's not impossible got get system after all I am in otherworld so there is nothing impossible."
As Alex was making decisions, Nonki was finished and opened the gate to leave. She walked towards Alex, grabbed his hand, and said "let's go."
"Yeah"
They entered the gate the next, there was nothing but beautiful sky and they were falling from the sky.
"AAAhhhhhhhh..."
"EEYAAAAAAGH!"
