Julius sat on the wooden log and let out a sigh. "It was kind of overwhelming. My tiny brain can't handle that much horror."
Thomas nodded. "Yeah. I also don't want to feel pain anymore."
Dante was puzzled. "What are you guys talking about? It is just a long and boring time for me."
He shrugged at the thought of staying alone in the endless void for years.
"Huh?" They both voiced with confusion.
They all looked at each other. Julius was the first to talk, "In my experience, I was teleported into a strange dimension where time and space intertwined. I have to learn equations and theory from a weird testicles looking eyeball. After that, I got sent to the realm with an orb floating, I touched the orb and found myself here."
'Different from mine.' Dante thought.
"As for me, I was in various places. Someplace burned my flesh. Some froze. Some pulled. Stretch. Cut. And many more hell. It is just the surroundings affecting my body, there is no monster attacking me though. And like Julius, I touched the orb." Thomas explained, biting on the tender meat.
Dante could hear Thomas's fear in the voice but there was also strength in it. Strange.
He was the last one to explain.
"Well, I got teleported to a void and have to stay there for a long time. I mean really really really long time. The last bit was the same as you guys."
Julius nodded understandingly. "Each person has a different type of awakening process."
"It seemed like it." Dante agreed.
Thomas put down the meat and took out the cigarette. "Hey, what are you guys' abilities? I got really cool stuff. Well, considering, I basically experienced hell, it is worth this much at least."
Julius grinned like an idiot. "I forget all the equations I learned but I managed to grab the essence. I am sure the equations will be important in my unique skill."
Dante let out a chuckle. "I will reveal it first. As you guys know, I have a bloodline. It is called a sage beyond the end. It gave me talent. The first talent I got is called unparalleled comprehension. The rest are locked."
"What does it do?" Julius asked.
"I got two skills before awakening the bloodline and I used the talent on one. It upgraded and turned into a new and powerful skill." Dante explained.
"So awesome. You can basically upgrade your skill without any grinding." Julius said.
"Kind of. But I don't see level on skill. And also because the bloodline is fused with me, I can't use my talent for now. Currently, my soul is quite weak. Because of that I have hit the talent limit for now."
"That kind of sucks." Thomas remarked. "I have a blessing ??? spirit. I don't know the details of the spirit name but the blessing gave me buff. I can control various four basic elements. I can also heal by surrounding myself with the elements, drawing their mana into me."
"That is overpowered." Dante said, completely taken back by Thomas's blessing. To be honest, He thought he was kind of special with his bloodline.
"I can't deny that." Thomas chuckled.
Julius clapped his hand and looked at the two with a devious smile. "Hehe. Don't you want to know mine?"
"Hurry up."
"Just talk, man."
"My unique skill is space and time." Julius said, completely casually. "I have the maximum affinity with those two. Because of that I can only use the skills related to those. Oh, I forgot to mention, I have a spacetime body suited for my unique skill as well."
The three of them got overpowered abilities. They talked about the system and various other stuff during the breakfast. After that, they decided to test their abilities.
The first to experience the ability was Thomas since his blessing was the most easy to see and understand.
He stood in front of the tree. Using hunter eyes, Dante noticed mana from the surroundings gathered around him. It was absorbed into Thomas's body.
After that, he threw a quick punch at the tree with full force. The tree cracked and fell down.
Thomas was flabbergasted by his strength and dazed for a full minute.
"Oh, I think I broke my hand." Thomas said, waving his tattered red hands.
"Shit. Are you okay? We need to stop the bleeding." Dante said in a hurry. He was aware that wounds like this will be fatal in the forest.
Thomas laughed off the pain. It was almost like he didn't register the wounds on his hand.
It is broken. Dante thought.
Dante saw bones sticking out from the flesh.
"Wait a minute, I can feel it healing already." Thomas revealed.
Dante activated his eyes and checked. Thomas was correct. He saw blue mana absorbing into the flesh, melding the bones and flesh into pure state. He suspected that the healed arm will be stronger than before.
Hmm. There is also a another type of energy.
Dante scratched his chin and let out a long sigh. He then put his hand over Thomas's shoulder. "From this day on, you will be our tank."
"Yeah. Don't complain now." Julius agreed with a smirk.
Thomas shrugged the two with a smile. "As an older brother, I can't run away."
"Puff..haha." Dante and Julius laughed.
Julius stepped forward and said, "Now, my time to shine. I got two skills from my unique skill. Space shift and Chrono clarity."
"What do they do?" Dante asked.
"I am not so sure. After I immersed myself in my unique skill, the system showed me those two skills. There is no description but I can feel a connection to it."
"I see." Dante said, thinking about his skill as well. The system didn't show any details of the skill but he somehow knew how to use it and how to find the effect.
"Just try to use it. You will know what they do." Dante said and turned toward Thomas. "You have any skill?"
Thomas shook his head, "There is no such thing as skill in my status. Must be because of my blessing."
"Hmm." Dante nodded, thinking about something.
Blessing removed the skill?
Julius assumed the running poses and halted into the tree. Just before he collided, he shifted his body and vanished. He then appeared behind the tree.
Thomas rubbed his eyes and looked at Julius. "Compared to mine, you are much more freaky."
Dante smiled. "I know your trick."
Julius walked toward his direction. "Oh really. Tell me the trick."
"You teleported your body into another dimension and teleported back to this place. The range depends on how much mana you have. That must be your Space shift ability. I don't know about your other one though."
"Damn, how did you know?"
"My eyes, obviously. I put my talent into this."
"Yeah, Space Shift allowed me to enter the sub-space dimension, I can stay there for as long as I have mana. Chrono Clarity basically lets my brain operate in slow motion." Julius explained.
"I see." Dante nodded in understanding. "You are a hit and run type. Your mana reserve is quite large as well. I assume you can use the skills constantly for an hour right?"
Julius nodded. "My spacetime body absorbed the mana. I don't know the process but I need to check it out."
Dante agreed.
"..."
"What?" Dante looked at the two friends, who stared at him with puppy eyes. "I don't have an offensive skill."
He paused and continued. "Wait. I think I can make one."
He stepped forward in front of another tree. He used mana manipulation and an external eye. His upgrade skill acted as a support, it allowed him to see mana clearly.
Under the eyes, he tried manipulation. By gathering mana from his core, he created a ball and aimed at the tree. He then fired.
The tree exploded, creating a baseball size crater.
The blast is not strong as I imagine.
