Warner's POV
Jamiya shows up at the exchange location exactly as Levi predicted she would. Through my rifle scope, I track her movements as she circles around Alpha Dana, and I can't help but wonder if she's told anyone about finding her mate yet. The question burns in my throat, but I can't risk bringing it up over comms with the team listening in. If Linton catches wind of this before Jami tells her directly, she'll be devastated that she wasn't the first to know.
I get why she'd want to keep this under wraps for now.
The wraith might be dead and gone, but we have no clue what's coming next in this shitstorm. We came back to the city because it's the logical starting point if someone wanted to eliminate everyone who screwed up their world domination scheme. I've been drilling my rogue team on how to operate within city boundaries, and they've been shadowing my family around the clock.
