Arlene's POV
Freaking out? Me? I think so. I don't know why I feel safe here, which makes absolutely no sense considering how we ended up in this place. The way Isabel Lorenzo spoke to me in my office and how she reacted when she saw the kids tells me she genuinely cares about them.
That was hands down the most terrifying experience of my entire life, and I grew up as a military brat. There were countless nights when Dad would shake us awake because we had to evacuate immediately.
When Warner guides me toward his bedroom, I'm not sure why I'm surprised. The room is enormous, bigger than my living room and kitchen combined. This whole place screams luxury ranch lodge.
