The meeting with the private school had been a disaster. The administration clearly disapproved of my decision to relocate from Paris after the incident with Rockford. They questioned my judgment, my stability, my commitment to providing consistency for my children. I had walked out before saying something that would permanently damage the twins' chances of enrollment.
But I refuse to apologize for protecting my son. Rockford may be gentle and sweet-natured, but I am neither when it comes to my children. If I don't fight for them, who else will?
