Arlene's POV
Heat radiates from every inch of my body as I stare at my reflection. Even after the ice-cold shower I just endured, my already sun-kissed skin glows with an unnatural flush. I force myself to stop analyzing my naked form and focus on what matters most right now.
I need to figure out what the hell is happening to me before I can even begin to process the bombshell about my mother being some werewolf royalty. That revelation feels like a slap in the face when it comes to everything I thought I knew about my family.
Warner marked me. That mark awakened something dormant in my blood, something that's been sleeping my entire life. I have two days to prepare for my first transformation under the full moon. Two days to get ready to become something I never imagined I could be. And this thing inside me, this wolf I can sense prowling beneath my skin, is absolutely starving.
