"What do you mean?" Flynn questioned, his confusion evident.
"Look at yourself in the mirror. You're being delusional," I replied, scanning him from head to toe with a dismissive click of my tongue. "I'm drawn to attractive people. You? Well, that's a stretch."
My message was crystal clear—Theo fell short of my standards in every way.
Flynn was the first to erupt in mocking laughter.
Putting everything else aside, Theo's looks were nothing to write home about.
Theo had inherited his father's genes—average height, a bit pudgy, completely unremarkable.
Still, Theo carried himself with unwarranted confidence, especially around beautiful women.
The crowd in the hall started turning on him, one by one.
"She's got a point. Mr. Cross is pretty plain," someone muttered.
"He's just bitter because he can't have her," another voice added.
