I nodded slightly in acknowledgment.
"Ms. Brent, my apologies for what you've endured," Harvey said with gravity before shooting Ashley a cutting look. "Ms. Brent is my honored guest. Disrespecting her means disrespecting me."
Shocked whispers rippled through the crowd as they realized I had such powerful connections.
Ashley went pale, standing frozen as she struggled to comprehend what was unfolding.
I massaged my temples, my tone flat and distant. "Harvey, does everyone just waltz in here these days?"
Harvey tensed, his face losing color. "My sincerest apologies. This won't happen again."
"Irina," Ashley screamed, still refusing to accept reality. "You think you're invincible because you've hooked up with Mr. Blanc? Without a man, you're nothing—"
Before she could finish, Harvey's foot shot out, knocking her to the floor. "You disrespectful wretch, how dare you address Ms. Brent like that?"
Ashley doubled over, wheezing in shock.
