Chapter 2 - Chapter 1 — The Man in the White Void

Chapter 1 — The Man in the White Void

Silence.

That was the first thing he became aware of—an endless, heavy silence that pressed against him from all directions. When he opened his eyes, there was nothing. No sky, no ground, no horizon. Just a limitless expanse of white, so bright it should have been blinding… yet it didn't hurt.

"Did I… die?"

The words left his mouth before he had time to think about them. Strangely, speaking felt natural, as if he still had a body—but he remembered the moment of his death clearly. A screech of tires. A flash of light. Pain. Then darkness.

"Anything," ROB nodded. "Power, knowledge, abilities… even concepts outside the laws of reality. And one more thing—you may choose your new appearance, and decide where and in which timeline you will be born."

The offer was absurd. Ridiculous. Impossible.

And yet… completely real.

He took a breath to steady himself. "Before I make my wishes, I want to know something. When I reincarnate… will I keep my memories?"

"If you desire it, yes. If not, no."

He nodded. "Good."

A blank slate for desires and dreams spread before him like an open sky. He felt excitement welling up inside his chest—something he hadn't felt in a long time.

ROB raised a hand. "State your first wish."

He thought carefully, then spoke with certainty:

"My first wish… is
