Everyone was already settled in the living area by the time Jin Di finally snapped out of his daze and followed them inside.
He slowed his steps without realizing it, watching from a short distance.
His family had completely surrounded his baby girl. His mother was practically glued to Elena's side, sitting close, holding her hands, listening to her with an expression so gentle that Jin Di almost felt dazed again.
Elena noticed him first.
She tilted her head and flashed him a mischievous smile, eyes curving with unmistakable amusement.
The others followed her gaze.
"What are you standing there for? Are you a ghost?" Grandpa Lu barked immediately. "Come here, boy!" Grandma Li shot him a smug, victorious look, clearly enjoying his discomfort.
Jin Di walked over.
The moment he reached the sofa, Elena and Huang Yuyan shifted to make space. As soon as he sat down, Jin Di's arm wrapped around Elena's waist, pulling her firmly against him.
