It had been 20 minutes since Noel said he needed to go to the bathroom in the cafe. However, after waiting, he still hadn't returned, which made Alastair's patience wear thin.
He felt that his lover had lied to him and was using this opportunity to run away.
"You promised to stay by my side, but in the end, you left anyway?" Alastair muttered.
The Alpha man stood up from his seat and turned around, intending to follow his omega to the bathroom inside the cafe.
He wanted to see for himself if his omega had indeed run away, even though he was very sure Noel had done so a few minutes ago.
He had just stood up and taken a few steps toward the stairs leading down to the rooftop when he ran into Noel, who was just about to climb the stairs.
"Al? Why are you near the stairs? Are you planning to go down to the bathroom too?" he asked casually, as if nothing had happened before.
Seeing his lover had returned, Alastor immediately pulled Noel's wrist closer to him.
