'I'll just throw in another disk and slice all his tentacle—'
While up in the air, before Henry could finish his words, his eyes widened in surprise as the tentacle he had just sliced earlier suddenly started regenerating. There's no warning or a fancy effect.
It just grew back to its full length in a few seconds.
"Oh, you gotta me kidding me. That's cheating!" He cursed.
He used his Flame Burst again and reappeared a few meters away from Scylla. Two flame disks appeared behind him, their blue crackles seemed to burn even the space itself.
With a flick of his wrist, the two disks flew forward, each finding its course in the form of tentacles.
Slice!
Slice!
The two raised tentacles that Scylla attempts to smash him to the ground, found themselves halved, blood spurting out as their other halves fell on the ground with a heavy thud, kicking up a cloud of dust.
'This is getting exhausting…' Henry murmured to himself, already feeling the strain on his mind and body.
He should be able to last a few more minutes but defeating the two monsters while at it is impossible.
"Aim for the head they say." His eyes darted towards Scylla's exposed head, trying to reel in his disgust after seeing her grotesque face, or if it can even be called a face.
Another spinning flame disk appeared but this time on top of his palm. Not only that, this Flame Disk is bigger and higher in temperature compared to before.
'If this can't kill her. Then I don't know what will.' With determination in his face, fiery hot flames burst out of his foot soles, instantly bringing him forward in the blink of an eye.
Atop Scylla's head, the flames on his foot soles still flaring to keep him mid-air, Henry looked down on the unsuspecting monster. That's one of the disadvantages of being an enormous monster, they tend to be slow.
He brought his raised hand down and the Flame Disk followed.
With its spinning power reaching higher levels than before, it also contributed to its speed and as soon as the disk was given the freedom, it propelled past Henry's side and instantly arrived a few inches away from Scylla's disfigured face, horizontally.
Squelch!
Sizzle!
There were no fancy movements involved. Just a single deadly spell targeting a deadly part of a body.
The deadly disk, combining its searing heat and spinning power, carved through Scylla's head, the smell of burnt meat spreading through the air and reaching his nostrils.
"That smells bad." Henry's face crunched.
However, the fact that his attack was successful and the monster finally stopped moving, Henry finally sighed in relief.
'Now I can focus on the other one—' Henry's thoughts were cut midway when one of the tentacles shot forward and instantly wrapped around him all of a sudden.
Henry could only react by widening his eyes and watching as the tentacle's mouth filled with sharp teeth descended on his head. With its size, no doubt it's capable of swallowing him whole like an anaconda.
"Shit!" Henry cursed. He looked down on Scylla and to his surprise and fear, the top of her head was missing, leaving only her open mouth but that's not what shocked him.
It was the fact that she was still regenerating despite that.
Before anything could happen, Henry felt something cold touching his side.
PSSHHHH!
The snake-like tentacle that was just about to gulp him whole was suddenly struck by an icy blast on the middle part of its body, not only encasing it in ice but it also worked its way up to the tentacle's head and down to Scylla.
It froze it entirely, all except for Henry.
"Ice?" Henry murmured to himself in surprise. There's only one person who can be attributed to the ice element, "Elsa?"
Right at that exact moment, Elsa finally appeared, her hands stretched forward as she glided on the ice she's making, even creating an ice ramp that she kept sliding on.
Of course, the ice ramp has its purpose. Which is to get him out of his place. For a brief moment, Henry felt a shivering cold to his side before an ice surface appeared with Elsa standing on top of it.
"Hi." Elsa tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she shyly greeted him.
On the other hand, Henry stared at her wide-eyed before unconsciously blurting out, "Beautiful…"
And just like that, Elsa almost lost her footing as she became flustered, just by looking at the darting of her eyes, one can tell she was nervous.
"W-What are you talking about?! W-Who says I'm beautiful? Am I?" She kept stuttering, making Henry deadpan at her.
'I'm sorry but where did the badass Elsa go? She was here just now…'
"Elsa. Elsa, listen to me." Henry tried to pull her back to reality. However, she kept mumbling and stuttering to herself that he doesn't know what she's saying anymore.
With a deep sigh, Henry increased his volume, "Elsa!"
Thankfully, that finally snapped her out of it, she blinked several times in surprise, "W-What?"
With a sigh of relief, he spoke, "Thank you for saving my arse. But right now, we can't afford to waste time, so sorry for what I just said earlier but I'm not taking it back." Before she could turn into a blushing mess again, he hurriedly continued, "I can escape by myself just fine. But I need you to buy time for me. Do whatever it takes to hold them off, okay?"
Now that he mentioned it, when Elsa shifted her attention to the tentacle monster, she saw it was slowly wrapping the rest of her tentacles around the frozen one and tightening its grip until it showed a crack.
"Okay." She gulped and nodded in determination. With a dive, she went back to gliding on the ice she makes, making her way around Scylla.
Seeing this reminded Henry of a familiar fictional character, Frozone from The Incredibles. She's using the same movement as him, "Well, she's definitely badass alright."
Shifting his focus away from her. He trusted her capability to fight by herself just fine. If she wanted, she could even create a massive living construct that could probably contend with the two behemoth monsters.
Unfortunately, either she might not reached that stage yet or she doesn't see the need for it, which translates to her lack of imagination.
She doesn't even know she can create a living construct yet. And of course, Henry intends to tell her about it if given the time.
Meanwhile, he focused on escaping from the frozen tentacle.
"Feel the heat." He murmured to himself, using his Flame Coat spell to its maximum output. Inside the carapace-like ice, one can notice the heat inside, it started orange, then brighter and brighter until it turned blue.
At that point, the ice has met its melting point and started to sweat. Even the poor tentacle inside was being burnt into crisp.
"Just burn them, Henry…Burn them…" Henry muttered to himself as he imagined the hottest thing he could visualize.
The Sun.
"You're the sun, Henry. Become the Sun." He whispered for the last time. And that was it, there was a sudden bubbling feeling inside him that wanted to burst out.
And let out, he did. There was a throb inside his mind followed by a heavy heave on his chest, a sign of being near his limits.
However, Henry ignored it and with a roar, the ice finally shattered and the tentacle inside was burned into dust. Not only that, but the heatwave also spread around him, everywhere the wave touched was burnt to a crisp before turning into dust.
Elsa, in the middle of fending against Scylla and Charybdis who just recently joined, noticed the heat behind her, causing beads of sweat to form instantly.
Without hesitation, she went back into gliding. This time, putting herself as far away as possible from Henry. She doesn't know why but her instincts are telling her to do this.
Thankfully, she was right in trusting her instincts. Because the moment she gained distance, there was a resounding explosion behind her, the sand turned into glass, trees were uprooted and thrown into the air, and the dirt exploded all over the place.
And last but not the least. The heat. It was unbearable to the point that even Elsa felt it from afar.
As for Scylla who took the entire hit of it? No one knows. The explosion kicked up a huge cloud of dust that no one but herself knew of her predicament. As for Charybdis, which was further and just behind Scylla, if that monster is smart enough, it would know better to escape rather than continue.
As for Elsa. After taking a considerable distance, where she's almost in the middle of the sea. She stood on a sturdy ice surface and stared at the island in worry.
Everything happened so fast. If she hadn't able to react in time, she might've been caught in the blast.
As the dust started to settle, it slowly revealed the aftermath of the explosion. The sandy shore has been turned into glass that glints under the sunlight. In the middle of the shore was a huge crater that extended even past the shoreline, letting the water crawl towards the said crater and fill it up until it turned into a small pond.
Back on the ship, Liam watched everything through a small telescope. His mouth turned agape after seeing everything that had just happened.
Who could've known that his prince, who had been gone for just a single month, would turn into this? Someone who can probably wipe out an entire village from the face of the Earth.
"Truly….the prince is extraordinary." He muttered to himself, the blood inside him jumping in excitement at the thought of the Kingdom gaining such a powerhouse.
As for the others behind him, including his retinue, the crew, and the slaves? There were horrors in their faces.
They just recalled what they did to him earlier. The pushing, the pointing of fingers, and the blaming. All of it came back rushing into their minds and only one thought flashed before them.
'What have I done?'
———
Elsa went gliding back to the island, ignoring the searing heat licking her skin. Her priority is to find Henry alive!
"Henry! Henry, where are you!"
She frantically called out to him, using her ice blasts to remove the leftover blue flames around her.
There was a sudden footstep behind her, then a familiar voice.
"Cough! Cough! Did I do it?" When she turned around, it was Henry, staggering towards her while waving the dust away from his face.
He looked beat and battered. His entire upper shirt was already burnt into dust long ago, leaving his torso exposed and glistening.
Not only that but he's also walking barefoot, which can only be blamed on his Flame Burst spell. And lastly, only his pants remained on his body, albeit it was also burned above his knees—covering only a very vital part.
"Henry!" Elsa quickly darted forward, smashing herself against his chest and hugging him.
Thud!
"Oof!" Henry instantly felt it but didn't complain. How could he? There's a beauty in his arms right now, and he can smell her hair shampoo and fancy cologne below his chin.
"I thought you were dead!" She pulled herself out and stared at his eyes, expressing her concern.
With a cheeky smile, he answered, "Well I thought so too but I realized someone is waiting for me to come out of it alive, and I don't want to disappoint her."
This time, Elsa surprisingly didn't run away while flustered. She just blushed and kept staring at his eyes. Everyone knew what was supposed to happen next.
'Not yet.' In the corner of his eyes, Henry caught a sudden movement.
"As much as I want to kiss you right here and right now but I believe we still have a matter at hand." He can feel Elsa freezing in his arms as soon as he finishes his words.
Henry reluctantly separated himself and approached where he last saw the movement. However, as soon as he approached, he also jumped out in fright when tens of tentacles suddenly emerged from a small crater.
However, these tentacles seemed to be smaller, just as big as a finger.
Curious, Henry continued his approach and leaned forward. Behind him, Elsa also followed, readying an icy blast above her palm.
Together, they stared down at the crater in unison, and there in the middle was a small creature with tentacles.
At first glance, one might mistake it for a baby octopus but when Henry squinted his eyes, he instantly saw the resemblance between the small creature and Scylla.
Everything minus the disfigured face and hideous appearance. The one in front of him looks cuter. With a head as large as his hand, two glittery eyes staring directly at him, and his tentacles that kept wiggling around.
"Is that…a baby Scylla?" Henry tilted his head in confusion.
The baby Scylla on the other hand, replicated his movement and also tilted its head to the side and released a near-silent squeak, "Kyuu?"

[How was it? This is my first time writing thousands of words worth of fighting and action. I tried my best to portray his talent helping him while in the middle of the fight and I hope I didn't disappoint.]
[Let me guess, you did not see that baby Scylla coming, did you?]
