"Meet who?"
Fury frowned slightly. He didn't remember anyone in Hell's Kitchen worthy of Tony's personal visit.
"The specifics aren't very clear..." The red-haired woman shook her head gently. "The information is what Natasha extracted from Tony's driver 'Happy,' but Happy seems to have a deep sense of secrecy about these matters. Only that the person is an unlicensed doctor named 'Tamayo.'"
"Doctor?" Fury's brows furrowed even tighter. "Is something wrong with Tony?"
"I don't know, but combined with his recent absurdly luxurious behavior, it's like a terminally ill patient who wants to live it up."
"Terminal illness?" Fury was stunned. "How could that guy have a terminal illness?"
Although life was unpredictable and diseases could strike anyone at any time, facing Tony's wisdom beyond common sense, it was hard to imagine a terminal illness could stump him.
"I don't know either." The red-haired woman shrugged. "But according to psychological assessment, he's showing these symptoms now."
"Where is he now? I'm going to see him!"
"Meeting Police Chief George at a coffee shop in Queens!"
"?" Fury's eyes flickered slightly, somewhat confused. "What's he doing with the NYPD chief?"
"It seems to be to understand the case of the wealthy man's villa in Greenwich Village."
"..."
Fury narrowed his eyes.
Although Tony had become Iron Man now and was committed to fighting terrorists and various vicious crimes, ordinary murder cases couldn't get into his eyes at all.
Unless he knew the case wasn't an ordinary murder!
But how did he know?
Quinn's figure appeared in Fury's mind first, followed by the name Tamayo.
"Have Coulson go to that Tamayo and ask what they talked about yesterday. I'll go to Tony."
"Understood!"
...
Vongola Family Headquarters, lobby.
THUD!
Cornell's sturdy body was thrown to the ground like a sack.
He struggled to get up, looked at Tsuna before him angrily, and asked, "What do you mean? If you don't want to let me go, don't pretend to be generous in the first place."
"I hate capricious people!"
Tsuna responded calmly.
Cornell was stunned briefly, then asked in confusion, "What do you mean?"
"Your cousin—she used her power as city councilwoman to have the army besiege us!"
"What!" Cornell was stunned momentarily, then hurriedly explained, "It wasn't me! I didn't ask her for help!"
"...I believe you!"
Tsuna looked at him silently for a while, then nodded lightly.
Hm?
So simple?
Tsuna's answer made Cornell stunned.
They were gangsters, not police—they didn't need evidence to do things.
His situation basically belonged to the "mud in the crotch" category. It wasn't shit, but it might as well be. Unless he could prove himself with evidence, he couldn't explain it at all.
He was worried about how to prove his innocence, but Tsuna believed him and that was it.
No way!
Was this Vongola boss so naive?
You just surrendered to a gang leader. Under such circumstances, could you just believe a word?
Did following a guy like this really have a future?
Poor Cottonmouth—he didn't know that Tsunayoshi possessed Hyper Intuition that could even ignore illusions, and instinctively knew what to do without learning.
Judging whether words were true or not was even less worth mentioning.
"Since it's not your idea, then contact your cousin!" Tsuna took out his phone and handed it to Cornell. "If all this is her own idea, you can be spared for your loyalty to Vongola. But next time, let her prepare her coffin in advance!"
Tsuna's voice was very calm—you couldn't tell whether he was angry or joyful, and his expression remained unchanged throughout, making it impossible to know what he was thinking.
But it was precisely because of this that it was scary.
"Okay, okay." Cornell immediately put away the idea that "Tsuna is naive" and took the phone to call his cousin.
Although one became a gangster and the other a city councilwoman, the siblings' relationship hadn't become estranged due to their identities but became closer.
He didn't want this dear cousin to have an accident.
The call connected quickly, and the reason was quickly asked. Mariah didn't hide it from her brother.
"It's Kingpin!"
After Cornell hung up the phone, his face was full of anger. "I used money from arms smuggling to help Mariah run for city council. Kingpin found out somehow and has the evidence."
"Kingpin—I didn't expect it to come so quickly."
Hayato Gokudera couldn't help but sneer.
They'd just rejected Kingpin's goodwill yesterday, and today he'd gotten two battalions of elite U.S. troops to come over. This really lived up to the name "Underworld Emperor"!
If it were an ordinary gang, they really couldn't withstand such a blow from him.
"Kingpin is too dangerous. We have to eliminate him as soon as possible..." Tsuna pondered. "Go find Hibari and Mukuro. We'll take him down now!"
"I'm afraid it's too late!"
Speak of the devil.
As soon as Tsuna's voice fell, Mukuro Rokudo walked in with a smile. "After Fury left, that guy went directly to Hell's Kitchen. I guess he figured out it was Kingpin from the beginning!"
"Damn, that bastard is acting alone again!" Hayato Gokudera looked displeased.
"This is the Cloud Guardian's style!"
Reborn pushed up his hat and continued, "But in this case, I'm afraid there's no way to capture Kingpin. After all, the opponent is a super cunning guy."
"If any of you join up, maybe there's still a chance." Tsuna's eyes swept over everyone.
"I'll go!"
Takeshi Yamamoto raised his hand with a smile.
Chrome also stood up from the sofa. "I'll go too. I'll stop by the mall then. Is Master Mukuro going?"
"I'm not interested in those things."
"Then you two go!" Tsuna pondered. "Speaking of which, the idea of sending out all our forces just now wasn't well thought out. We've just destroyed two U.S. military units. If we all go out now, it'll affect some people's nerves, right?"
"Then let's go."
...
Midtown, Midtown Associates Building.
Ding!
The automatic glass door opened, and a man in a suit with a stern face and dusty temperament walked in calmly. His shocking presence made the receptionist freeze until the man walked directly to the elevator without making an appointment. Then she came to her senses.
"Sir, the upper floors of the company aren't allowed without an appointment!"
The man stopped, glanced at her from the corner of his eyes, and said indifferently, "I'm not here to discuss business. I'm here to settle accounts with Kingpin."
After speaking, he continued walking forward calmly.
And the receptionist was so frightened she quickly picked up the phone and dialed.
