Alucard has been alone for a while. A long while. But his loneliness would soon come to an end when Y/n shows up. Put of the blue. Quite literally. A spark of bright, blue light, brought Y/n into the world of Wallachia...into Alucard's world.
Alucard had no warning of what was to come. He had no idea that his heart would end up belonging to someone he never thought of meeting, nor existed. Trevor and Sypha no doubt adores the newcomer. A stranger they welcome into their lives, a decision Alucard opposes to. The children were all too curios. Wanting to know exactly who Y/n is and what she's planning on doing.
Y/n soon realizes that she too feels something towards the defensive half-vampire. She watches him, follows from the shadows, but Alucard is all too aware of her ever persistent presence. Until one day, he decided to question her about her actions and perhaps satisfy her curiosity, so he can have some peace of mind.

"What are you lurking for?" Alucard's voice travels through the woods, surprising Y/n. "You knew I was there?" Y/n steps out from the shadows, cast by the large trees. "Obviously." Alucard responds dryly, casting an irritated glance her way. "Oh. Forgive me. I was just..." she trails off, not finishing her sentence. Alucard raises a brow, "Just what?"
Y/n blushes, his gaze on her, intent, and even the irritated scowl on his face, fascinated her. "Curious, is all." She says sheepishly. "Curiosity killed the cat." Alucard retorts and walks on. Seeing Alucard leave, Y/n follows him further into the woods. "Why do you avoid me?" She asks, trying not to sound offended. Alucard has been weary of her since her unexpected arrival. She doesn't blame him, but she is hurt that he doesn't trust her. She has proven herself helpful and trustworthy time and again.
"Why would you think that?" Alucard counters, his voice remaining the same leveled tone, giving nothing away. "I don't know. Maybe because you leave every time I show up. Whether we're in the same room, or place." She says with a shrug of her shoulders.
Alucard stops, thinking over her words. "I hadn't noticed." Is all he says. Something about his dismissive tone irks Y/n in a way that she just wants to slap some sense into the stoic vampire. "You're not usually like this." She comments, watching Alucard's reaction. "Oh?" Y/n huffs at his simple response, not at all what she wanted.
"Yes, I've seen you with the others. With Trevor, you're always sarcastic, Sypha you're a gentleman to, charming even. Simon, you completely adore. The village children think you're amazing." She lists off his behavior towards the others, growing frustrated as she continues. "And the point you are trying to make?" Alucard asks, stopping to face Y/n ,looking down at her.
She looks back at him, almost defiantly. "My point is, I have been here for three months, and in that time, I have proven that I can be trusted." Alucard lowers his head towards her ear, "Have you now?" His voice deep and predatory, sending shivers down Y/n's spine. He watched her reaction and something sparks inside himself. He quickly shakes off the feeling, straightening himself and decides to go back to the manor.
Y/n is left stunned. She then spins on her heal and looks after Alucard's retreating form, thinking to herself. How is she supposed to win him over? How can she prove to him that he can trust her? With that thought in mind, she also heads back, determined to win Alucard over.
