Chapter 7 - chapter seven

Xavier's POV

I was bold alright, trying to woo another man's wife,

Ex wife.

Who happened to be my bestfriend's mom, but I couldn't help myself, Vanessa was beautiful, I've had a crush on her since prom, she looked ravishing as ever, with her light brown skin and thick curls and brown eyes, she was every man's dream.

I noticed my sudden feelings for her, on prom night, Finn and I had come back home wasted and since Finn's house wasn't far from mine, I didn't mind staying there. We rushed upstairs and I let him use the shower first, while I waited, I removed my shoes and crept slowly to the hallway to grab a glass of water.

And I met her in the kitchen, she looked fuckable, her hair packed neatly in a hair wrap, her night clothes hugging her tightly and hugging thoes double cup breasts, her skin shone like diamonds, I just wanted to kiss her there and then.

"You guys are back late" she said with a coffee mug in hand, not looking up at me as if she sensed I was there

"Yeah the party was long and Finn's taking a shower right now" I slurred

"Okay and call your parents, they must be worried" she added slipping past me and heading to the stairs.

I caught whiff of her scent, sent me on edge, my blood pulsing through my veins and my dick twitching.

I jerked off to the image of her that night, her mouth on me, my mouth on those perky boobs, I rubbed my dick harder, and I came hard, jets of liquid flying round the bathroom and I was visibly shaking, no one affected me this way.

I shook my head from that memory and I headed up to Finn's room, I needed her, I wanted her, my first instinct was not to pressure her and give her time.

the way she'd looked that night, the way she'd fallen apart in the study after she came in my mouth. No one had ever gotten under my skin the way Vanessa did. No girl. No woman. No one.

I forced my thoughts back to the present as I headed up the stairs toward Finn's room. The door was half open, music spilling out.

Finn was sprawled on his bed, towel thrown over his head like he'd just finished showering.

How did he get up here so fast.

Fawn was sitting cross-legged on the floor with a bowl of cereal, scrolling her phone.

"Where'd you disappear to?" Finn asked, tossing the towel aside.

"Kitchen," I said, trying to sound normal. "Wanted a drink."

Fawn snorted. "You guys inhaled like three gallons of pool water today. Why do you need more drinks?"

"Mind your business," Finn shot back.

She shrugged. "I'm just saying. Stay hydrated or whatever."

I dropped onto the beanbag chair in the corner, trying not to think about how Vanessa had looked cornered against the counter, how her breath had hitched when I touched her jaw. God. I was losing it.

Finn sat up and tossed a stress ball at me. "Dude, what's up with you? You were acting weird outside."

I caught it easily, keeping my expression as blank as possible. "Weird how?"

He frowned. "I don't know. I saw you talking to my mom in the kitchen today what was that about"

Fawn looked up from her phone. Looking at me instinctively.

My chest tightened. Dammit.

"Relax," I said lightly. "She asked if we wanted snacks. That's all."

"Mom doesn't even like us eating in the pool," Fawn muttered.

"Is my mom uncomfortable with you staying here" Finn asked

Oh boy.

"No no I swear she just asked me if we wanted snacks that's all" I replied

"Okay then, she's probably being nice, Yuno, she has been extra nice since dad passed" Finn said lying back down.

There it was. The reminder.

Vanessa wasn't married anymore. But she was still and would always be his mom.

"Mom needs to go out, she's always around the house, moping, I heard her crying one time" Fawn added

That broke me. Vanessa had been through a lot these past few months, and worse I was here to witness everything.

"Yeah, Finn added "but if she starts dating again, I'm gonna lose it. Some old dude with a beer belly is gonna be in the house calling me 'champ.' I can see it now."

Fawn giggled. "Or she'll date someone younger. Like a hot guy. Someone normal."

My pulse jumped.

Finn scoffed. "Younger? Mom? She doesn't even talk to guys. She's like… allergic."

Fawn shurgged, and got up and headed for the door.

"See you Xavier" she said whisking away

I got up and stretched, "I'm gonna go take a shower"

"Alright, grab me a pack of chips on your way back"

"Bet"

I've always treated Finn like a brother and he the same, I've been around this house since I could remember and these feelings for Vanessa where very strange and hard to navigate.

I wanted her that was certain

was going to take my time.

Be patient.

Wait for her.

Because Vanessa might fight it but I knew what I saw in her eyes.

And I wasn't wrong.
