Chapter 353 - Chapter 353 Are all monsters like this?

The tiny tentacles stared brightly at the little Yin Xiu, who was probably only the size of a palm. Their expressions softened, and they quickly crawled out of Yin Xiu's collar, draped themselves over his shoulder, and stared intently at him.

"What an adorable boyfriend... Ah—!" Before it could finish its blissful exclamation, a small knife stabbed at its face, sinking into its soft tentacles.

"Kill you! Kill you!" The little Yin Xiu, formed from black mist, was still muttering, brandishing his knife and slaughtering in all directions, stabbing wildly everywhere. The most recent victim was the little tentacle ball that had just crawled out.

After being stabbed several times, the little tentacle ball screamed while exclaiming how cute its little boyfriend was.

However, the little boyfriend poking it hurt too much, so it quickly spread its tentacles and coiled towards Xiao Yinxiu, trying to pull the fierce little boyfriend over. But as soon as the tentacles wrapped around him, the little figure immediately turned into a cloud of black smoke and disappeared.

"I...I..." The little tentacle ball stared blankly at the dissipating black mist, looking around, wondering where its little boyfriend had gone.

Yin Xiu silently touched the little tentacle ball that had crawled out, then turned to look at the two sharp gazes opposite him. "You've already seen it. This is how I've always treated misfortune. If anything unpleasant or annoying happens in the future, I'll still use my knife to speak."

"So whether I am happy or unhappy, I don't need your favor."

But the two gods' attention was clearly no longer on their previous topic. Their two gazes, which had fallen from behind the gauze, were fixed on the black figure perched on Yin Xiu's shoulder.

"What is that...?"

"Is it... a monster?"

"A black monster... What is that? Why are you carrying a monster on your body?!"

The two gods' voices were filled with disbelief, as if they had never seen Li Mo before.

Yin Xiu stroked the small tentacles clinging to his shoulder, then narrowed his eyes and stared at them. "So even the all-knowing gods don't know what this is? You can see my happiness and unhappiness, can't you really not know what it is?"

The two gods fell silent.

"It's just a monster. Do we need to know what it is?" the God of Calamity said, full of displeasure. "We are gods revered by thousands. We don't need to know the identity of such an unknown creature."

On the other side, Xing Shen slowly said, "Monsters should not appear in the peaceful and happy Twin Cities. They cannot be here."

Upon seeing the two gods and the little tentacle ball appear, Yin Xiu sensed a familiar aura emanating from them.

That's... the fear that anyone would feel when they first meet Li Mo, an instinctive resistance, but... that kind of emotion is always generated by people, stemming from the invisible oppressive force emanating from those in power, and generating awe from the heart.

But God shouldn't feel this way towards His own kind.

"Whether it stays here or not isn't up to you to decide." Yin Xiu's hand, which had been resting on the hilt of the sword, twitched slightly.

"We are the gods of Twin City! We have the final say on everything in the city! Monsters are not allowed to appear in Twin City!" the God of Calamity declared arrogantly.

But Yin Xiu's nonchalant eyes stared coldly upwards, "Before, you were the ones in charge, but now, I am."

"You! How dare you defy the gods?!" The God of Calamity was furious, radiating a powerful aura, but Yin Xiu remained unmoved, instead lowering his eyes and slowly curving into a cold smile.

"God? Really?"

He drew his long sword, pointing it directly at the God of Calamity, the tip gleaming with coldness and sharpness. "I see that in this Twin Cities, there is no god."

Before the other party could refute, Yin Xiu, angered by his words, stepped forward with light steps, the blade flashing past and severing the two huge and long pieces of gauze.

The soft white gauze slowly draped to the ground, revealing two pure-looking girls sitting on a high platform behind them. They had black hair, short hair, and two identical faces: one with gentle features and the other with an imposing air.

After the veil fell away, a moment of bewilderment flashed in their eyes. The girl sitting in the position of the God of Calamity slammed her hand on the table and stood up, "You! Do you know where this is?! Those who disrespect the gods on this land will die with their eyes wide open in disgrace!"

"I don't know." Yin Xiu's gaze swept gently over the two of them. "Leaving aside the consequences of disrespecting the gods, disrespecting the high priest should be alright, right?"

The two girls were taken aback. "What high priest... we are twin gods..."

Their bewildered reactions after being exposed largely confirmed Yin Xiu's thoughts.

He sighed, then patted Li Mo, who was perched on his shoulder, "Let them see what a real god is like."

Upon receiving the command, the little tentacle ball nodded vigorously, then tumbled off Yin Xiu's shoulder and onto the ground with a gurgling sound, falling flat on its face.

Just as the two girls began to question the bizarre, twisted, and somewhat clumsy monster, the black, twisted body that had fallen to the ground suddenly swelled up, radiating an astonishing chill that instantly sent shivers down their spines like needles.

The monster's body twisted and swelled in front of the two, becoming huge and terrifying. Every pair of trembling eyes was like an abyss, and if you looked into them, you would fall into it.

This terrifying, chilling creature filled the entire room, baring its fangs and claws, swallowing the light like darkness, and approached the two girls.

They saw countless eyes staring at them, they saw twisted tentacles writhing and tangling, and a cold sensation slowly wafted around them, radiating intimidation, threat, and unsettling emotions.

The two girls who claimed to be gods were almost frozen in place, unable to move, their entire bodies as if filled with ice, stiffened in place, even forgetting to breathe.

This enormous and chilling sensation, as if death were just a step away, plunged them into an ice cellar, stretching each second out infinitely, as if they had been swallowed by fear and had forgotten the passage of time.

Then, from within the pitch-black monster came Yin Xiu's light, airy voice, "You're crowding me."

The monster trembled as if startled, and at lightning speed curled up its body, squeezing itself down to its smallest size. It twisted and shrank to reveal its most terrifying side, then revealed itself as a harmless and pitiful little ball of tentacles. It crawled around Yin Xiu's feet and rubbed against his calf, seemingly comforting its boyfriend who had been accidentally squeezed by it.

The two girls standing on the platform had not yet recovered from their shock. They stared wide-eyed at the dark figue that was moving at the speed of light across the floor.
