The two stood facing the sea breeze under the quiet staff dormitory, gazing at the only light that was on.
"It seems like the teacher doesn't really like the two of us. Are we going to see her in the middle of the night?" Li Mo wondered, looking at Yin Xiu.
"It doesn't matter." Yin Xiu muttered casually, his eyes drooping. "It's not us who are suffering."
Li Mo nodded immediately; her boyfriend was right.
The two of them went upstairs together.
Yin Xiu knocked on the door politely; the sudden knocking sounded abrupt in the night.
The teacher opened the door, puzzled, and her face darkened instantly when she saw the two familiar figures at the door. "What are you two doing here again?"
His tone was full of disdain.
She peeked outside, "I didn't hear any dungeon notifications either?"
These two calamities have entered this instance again, and in the middle of the night no less. Just seeing them makes it impossible for her to sleep tonight.
"No, we've been to this instance before." Yin Xiu tilted his head slightly, glancing inside out of the corner of his eye. "Is Auntie here?"
The teacher, with her long neck drooping, scrutinized the two of them. "They're asleep. I'll go wake them if you need anything. Come inside first."
As she spoke, she turned and slowly went inside.
Yin Xiu stepped inside and closed the door.
Both were surprised by Yin Xiu's arrival. The dungeon wasn't open, but the God of Slaughter had come knocking on the door in the middle of the night. Regardless of whether the dungeon was open or not, seeing that face in the middle of the night was still a heart attack for any monster.
Auntie was pulled up by the teacher. The four of them sat upright in the room. Auntie was still very sleepy. She propped her chin up and stared at Yin Xiu for a long time before slowly saying, "How is your time at Anshi Mental Hospital? You haven't been affected too much, have you?"
Yin Xiu nodded and looked over, "Yes, thanks to the medicine Auntie gave me, I've recovered."
Auntie smiled and narrowed her eyes, "How did you know it was me who gave it to you?"
Yin Xiu's eyes were serious. "No other monsters in the dungeon will pay attention to my condition and help me out."
He spoke calmly, but his aunt still felt inexplicably distressed. "There's not much I can do to help you. Most of the time you can only rely on yourself."
"Why are you in this instance again?"
Yin Xiu shook his head and told the two of them about the current situation in the dungeon. After listening, his aunt and teacher fell silent.
"Is the outside world really like this now? So this is what Lady Ye's plan was." Aunt sighed, resting her chin on her hand and staring blankly out the window. "She plunged the town into crisis and made you a believer to coerce you. Her main goal was to get you to go to another dimension to find a way to kill the evil god."
"She can't leave here. Very few people in the White Cat faction know how. Although her plan was terrible, it was actually for the future of the entire instance environment."
Auntie slowly turned her gaze and placed it on Li Mo. "She must have realized how important you are to Li Mo and wants to use you to eliminate the possibility of Li Mo going out of control in the future before the short human life ends."
Auntie means that Lady Ye believes in Yin Xiu's influence on Li Mo. If she lets things go unchecked for now, Li Mo is very likely to lose control because of Yin Xiu's influence when he dies.
At that point, it will truly be a situation that no one can salvage.
She schemed against Yin Xiu in order to drag him into this environment and force him to solve the problem of Li Mo's existence.
It's an annoying method, but it's a good future for the monsters.
"I know," Yin Xiu replied lazily, without much reaction. "If I could solve it, I would like to solve it too."
Auntie smiled and squinted her eyes, "You really care about your boyfriend."
"Hmm," Yin Xiu replied calmly.
The aunt and the teacher exchanged a silent glance, then looked at them with meaningful eyes. "Have you accepted him as your boyfriend? You're not hiding it like before."
Before Yin Xiu could respond, Li Mo straightened his back and said earnestly, "I have been accepted!"
The teacher didn't know what to say, but the aunt praised enthusiastically, "You're pretty fast!"
Some time has passed since the Deep Sea Academy, but opening Yin Xiu's heart is no easy task. Considering the amount of time the two have spent together, it's not that easy. Logically speaking, Li Mo would have to follow Yin Xiu around for a long time before Yin Xiu would even glance at him.
Both of the monsters were quite unexpected.
"That's because my boyfriend and I are special." Li Mo's face wore a stiff smile, unchanging, but the joy in her tone was hard to hide.
He explained to his aunt about his past with his boyfriend, why his boyfriend hadn't been close to him before, and why their relationship had improved now.
Aunt listened attentively, while Yin Xiu leaned back in his chair, lost in thought.
It seems that Li Mo will naturally announce their relationship to everyone, telling each person he meets. I reckon that once they're in the new space, he'll continue to tell everyone he meets, making sure everyone knows about their relationship.
But that wasn't necessarily a bad thing, so he listened quietly.
The room was dimly lit, and Li Mo kept talking incessantly. In the distance, the sound of waves crashing could be heard, carrying a strong sense of mystery in the night.
Li Mo was having a great time talking, and his aunt and teacher were also enjoying listening to him; they seemed to really enjoy entertaining the audience.
After Li Mo finished recounting the whole story, the teacher and aunt's gazes finally fell on Yin Xiu, saying, "You have to take responsibility for him."
Yin Xiu: ?
Even the teacher nodded in agreement, "Once the monster's heart is on your body, you can't abandon it. You have to take responsibility."

He turned to look at Li Mo, who was sitting upright with her gaze fixed on Yin Xiu. Li Mo nodded in agreement, "You have to take responsibility for me."
Yin Xiu remained silent, then nodded blankly amidst the three eager gazes, "I understand."
Although he didn't know what had happened, he nodded in agreement that he would never abandon the little monster.
"So you'll be leaving here soon?" The teacher brought up a topic with Yin Xiu today.
"Yes, after visiting my aunt, I'll head back to my hometown."
"Great!" The teacher nodded without any hesitation. "From now on, we won't be so worried about you entering dungeons anymore!"
"..." Yin Xiu was speechless.
Even her aunt chimed in, "We don't know what's in the space you're going to, but let's have pity on them beforehand."
Yin Xiu pursed his lips. "I've changed a lot already."
Auntie asked with a smile, "When you go to the new world and find a way, what will you do if annoying people come to interfere with you?"
Without hesitation, Yin Xiu said, "We're just getting in the way if we can't get any information from them. What's the point of keeping them around? Let's kill them first."
"What if you encounter someone with exceptional strength who challenges you to a head-on confrontation?"
"Kill them."
What if your small group is approached by people of unknown origin?
Yin Xiu fell into deep thought. "Can't we kill him?"
After his aunt finished asking the question, Yin Xiu fell silent.
He didn't seem to have cultivated his character much; he remained highly vigilant when approached by unknown people.
But compared to the very beginning, he must have become much gentler!
