"This town is no longer an ordinary town. The darkness at the town's exit no longer connects to nothingness. Just go there, and you'll find the instance you want to go to."
"Then I'm going." Yin Xiu nodded, took Li Mo's hand. He didn't have much time left. Although there weren't many monsters to visit, he couldn't afford to waste time and needed to come back in time. So he took his boyfriend's hand and headed straight for the edge of the town.
As Lady Ye watched Yin Xiu depart, she wondered how the entire dungeon system would develop in the future, as it all rested on Yin Xiu's shoulders.
His appearance was indeed a variable; for the monsters, it was both a catastrophe and a salvation.
The first person Yin Xiu wanted to see was Ya Ya.
He could summon Ya Ya directly, but the town is in a special situation right now. Once she's summoned back, it will be inconvenient for her to return. He also wants to know how things are going since Ya Ya's instance was closed, and he plans to go and see for himself.
Thinking of Ya Ya's adorable figure, Yin Xiu pulled Li Mo and stepped into the darkness.
"Shouldn't we bring her something?" Li Mo knew who Yin Xiu was going to see and remembered that among humans, it was common to bring something when doing this, so she turned to ask.
"Besides daily necessities, I don't have anything else to give her. What do you have?" Yin Xiu turned to look at Li Mo's stomach. He remembered that this person always took things out of his mouth, and he didn't know what he had put in there.
"Something I can give to a child… let me think." Li Mo pondered earnestly as she was being led along.
He only carried things for himself and for his boyfriend; he didn't have anything extra.
"I also have some flowers I prepared for my boyfriend, I'll give them to her later," Li Mo suggested.
"Okay…" Yin Xiu didn't expect that Li Mo had prepared a lot of flowers for him. Even though Yin Xiu didn't need them much now, he still prepared them in advance.
While it was still dark, Li Mo hooked his arm around Yin Xiu's hand, reluctant to let go, and then quietly transformed back into his original form, picking flowers out of his mouth.
Yin Xiu wanted to turn around and look, but the tentacles covered his eyes. "You can't look, it will worsen your mutation."
Yin Xiu could only turn his head away in silence. After Li Mo transformed back into human form, he stared straight at him and asked, "How many tricks are you hiding?"
"A lot!" Li Mo nodded firmly, "Enough for my boyfriend to see me every day for the rest of his life, enough for me to afford."
Yin Xiu was speechless, unable to keep up with the little monster's train of thought. He thought Li Mo prepared gifts before each meeting, but he didn't expect that Li Mo had already prepared gifts for every meeting Yin Xiu would have for the rest of his life.
Yin Xiu believed that if he suddenly developed another hobby, Li Mo would try to force something new into his belly. Not only were his eyes filled with Li Mo, but his body was too...
That's good, it's good to have something to rely on in case of emergency.
Li Mo pulled out a large bunch of bright red flowers; he remembered what color Ya Ya liked.
At the dark end of the town, there is a portal of light, just like the portal when players leave a dungeon; it's a portal to switch spaces.
Yin Xiu pulled Li Mo along and walked quickly through the darkness.
They left the town and came to a rather secluded forest cabin.
A winding path unfolded before them, dotted with groves and blooming wildflowers. At the end of the path stood a small wooden house, nestled amidst mountains and water, resembling something straight out of a fairytale.
It must be the kind of look that Ya Ya likes.
Looking at the flowers blooming by the roadside, Li Mo pursed her lips with some worry, "What if she doesn't like my flowers?"
"No, it won't happen." Yin Xiu pulled him towards the small wooden house.
Before he even got close, he heard some rustling sounds coming from the weeds nearby. A black cat wearing a white collar suddenly jumped out of the grass and blocked Yin Xiu's path.
Upon seeing Yin Xiu, the black cat paused for a second, squatted down, and tilted its head, clearly surprised by Yin Xiu's appearance.
"I've come to see Ya Ya," Yin Xiu explained. If he remembered correctly, this was Ya Ya's mother.
The cat licked its paws, looked at Yin Xiu, then at Li Mo. It was puzzled by Yin Xiu's appearance, but it didn't seem to care much about Li Mo's presence. Instead, it wagged its tail, turned around, and walked towards the house, as if to acknowledge their arrival.
"Let's go." Yin Xiu pulled Li Mo along and followed.
Li Mo, who was standing to the side, asked with a smile, "Ya Ya's mother's cookies are delicious, I like them very much."
"You've been here before?" Yin Xiu was quite surprised.
"Yes, Ya Ya brought me here." Li Mo nodded. Ya Ya saw that he had nowhere to go after Yin Xiu left the dungeon and could only wait for Yin Xiu to enter the dungeon again, so she dragged Li Mo to her house to play. The two of them even prepared a bouquet of wildflowers for Yin Xiu so that Li Mo could take it into the Anshi Mental Hospital dungeon.
Those flowers are still in the vase in Yin Xiu's room.
"Looks like you two get along pretty well." Yin Xiu was relieved. He always thought these two strange people at home didn't get along and that they really disliked each other. But he was overthinking it. They were both carefree. When Yin Xiu wasn't around, they became close and started playing together.
"I like it here, and the cookies are delicious!" Li Mo repeated happily, which made Yin Xiu curious about how a cat could make cookies.
The mother cat led them into the house, which was very clean and almost entirely filled with the atmosphere of the two of them living there. There was a half-eaten biscuit on the table, a tiny crescent-shaped piece that Ya Ya clearly hadn't finished.
There were some open fairy tale books and some red hair clips on the table, all traces left by Ya Ya's activities, but Ya Ya was nowhere to be seen.
"Meow!" The mother cat squatted at the top of the stairs to the second floor and meowed upwards before slowly heading to the kitchen.
It probably means that Ya Ya is upstairs.
Yin Xiu coughed lightly. It was his first time visiting someone else's home, and he felt a little nervous, as it was like visiting a friend's house. He had never been to anyone's house before and had no friends at all.
Now that the cat mom has agreed to let him go upstairs, he should go up and find Ya Ya.
"This isn't your first time here, you should be familiar with the place. You go first," Yin Xiu instructed, taking a step back and pressing himself close to Li Mo's side.
Li Mo nodded knowingly, then grabbed her boyfriend's slightly nervous hand and said with a smile, "Let's go upstairs."
Yin Xiu was a human, but this was his first time visiting someone else's home; Li Mo, though not human, was very familiar with the place.
They visited their friend hand in hand, carrying gifts, just like normal human beings.
