Chapter 1 - Night Everything Began

It was raining ...

The city was unaware of things happening before there eye's.

Two mens are on rooftop.

There eye's are watching the city.

One hides under shadows with mask on his face.

One hides under ordinary peoples with erasing his past.

TwoBrothers.

MASKED MAN:

Do you know how many people are being watched tonight?

GLASSES MAN:

Too many.

The masked man stepped forward.

MASKED MAN:

But only one matters.

The man with glasses turned.

GLASSES MAN:

Leave him alone.

The masked man laughed softly.

MASKED MAN:

He crossed the line first.

A symbol appeared on the rooftop.

A circle with four cuts.

GLASSES MAN:

He's just a student.

MASKED MAN:

So were we.

Rain fell harder.

MASKED MAN:

Once someone sees the other side,

there's no going back.

The masked man stepped back.

Then he was gone.

The man with glasses stayed behind.

GLASSES MAN (quietly):

Silas Gray…

Morning

Silas ran to school.

He was late.

He didn't know anything had changed.

SilasGray reached school just before the bell rang, breathing hard as students rushed past him. Everything felt normal—too normal.

Near the gate, a single paper taped to the notice board caught his eye. There were no words on it, only a strange symbol: a circle cut in four directions.

Silas stared at it longer than he should have. No one else seemed to notice it. With a shrug, he pulled it down and folded it into his pocket.

The moment he touched it, a strange pressure tightened in his chest, but it faded quickly, and he brushed it off as nothing.

Classes began, but Silas couldn't focus. His fingers kept brushing the folded paper in his pocket, as if it were warmer than it should be.

When he glanced at the classroom window, his reflection lagged for a split second, staying still while he moved.

Silas blinked, and everything returned to normal. Before he could think about it, his phone vibrated.

An unknown number had sent him a message: You picked it up.

Silas's throat went dry as he replied,

asking

who it was.

The answer came instantly—Someone who is watching.

He locked his phone, staring out at the drifting clouds, unaware that far above the city, a masked figure was already observing him.

The rest of the day passed slowly.

Silas felt like something was wrong, but nothing actually happened.

People laughed, teachers talked, and classes ended as usual.

Still, the message stayed in his mind.

Someone who is watching.

When the final bell rang, Silas packed his bag and left the classroom, telling himself he was overthinking everything.

Outside, the sky had turned gray again.

Rain began to fall lightly as Silas walked home alone.

He pulled out the folded paper and looked at the symbol once more.

For a moment, the street around him felt quiet—too quiet.

The sound of rain faded, and the reflection in a nearby puddle rippled in a strange way, as if it were calling him to step closer.

The street felt quieter than it should have.

Silas Gray slowed his steps, listening to the soft sound of rain hitting the road. Cars passed by in the distance, but everything around him felt distant, muted—like the world had stepped back.

He stopped near a small puddle by the sidewalk.

The reflection inside it didn't match the sky above.

Silas frowned.

He leaned closer.

The reflection moved.

Not with him.

Against him.

He stepped back quickly.

Okay… that's enough for today,

he muttered.

He turned to leave.

The puddle rippled.

The circle with four cuts appeared inside it, glowing faintly.

Silas's breath caught.

What the hell…?

The sound of rain faded.

No cars.

No footsteps.

No wind.

Silence.

Silas looked around.

The street was still there—but wrong. Colors felt dull, stretched, like a faded copy of reality.

Someone spoke behind him.

You weren't supposed to see this yet.

Silas turned sharply.

A man stood a few steps away, wearing glasses, his coat soaked by rain that no longer fell.

Who are you?— Silas asked.

The man studied him quietly.

I'm someone who fixes problems,

he said.

And you just became one.

Silas's heart pounded.

This isn't funny,

he said.

Where am I?

The man sighed.

Not where,

he replied.

But when.

The symbol beneath Silas's feet pulsed once.

The street cracked like glass.

Silas lost his balance.

Wait—!

The world folded inward.

And Silas Gray fell.

Darkness swallowed him.

Silas Gray felt no pain when he fell. There was no ground, no sky—only the feeling of moving, like sinking into deep water without being able to breathe. His thoughts scattered, and the symbol burned in his mind.

Then everything stopped.

Silas opened his eyes slowly.

He was lying on cold ground.

He sat up, breathing hard, and looked around. The street was still there—the same road, the same buildings—but something felt wrong. The lights were dimmer. The air was heavier. Even the silence felt unnatural.

This… isn't right, he whispered.

He stand up and took a step forward.

The sound of his footsteps echoed too loudly.

Silas looked at a nearby shop window. His reflection stared back at him, but its eyes felt empty, distant.

Am I dreaming?

he asked.

No, a voice answered.

Silas spun around.

The man with glasses stood a few meters away, calm and composed, as if nothing strange was happening.

You fell through, the man said.

And you shouldn't have.

Silas clenched his fists.

Through what?

he demanded.

Where am I?

The man looked at him carefully before answering.

Between worlds,

he said.

A place people aren't meant to reach.

Silass chest tightened.

Then send me back,

he said quickly.

The man's expression softened—but only slightly.

I can't,

he replied.

Not anymore.

Silas felt fear rise in his throat.

What happens to people who end up here?he asked.

The man hesitated.

They get watched,

he said quietly.

Silas swallowed.

By who?

The man adjusted his glasses.

By everyone that matters.

Far above them, something unseen shifted.

And for the first time, Silas Gray understood

his normal life had already ended.
