Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Transformation of Hunter and Prey

So, do I belong to the Conjuration type or the Specialization type?

Vega was somewhat bewildered.

Is it possible for it to become like this?

Just how powerful are these experience points?! They were only used with the aid of Nen, yet they managed to corrode the cup.

Moreover, I just heard a faint, shrill scream. Could it be that this experience value is really energy transformed from the soul?

Vega patted his forehead: "Forget it, the system is too mysterious and unpredictable, I shouldn't think too much about it."

Then he recalled the two qualities that had appeared one after the other in the water-viewing ritual he had just seen.

Based on his memories of watching Hunter x Hunter.

In the anime, only one person underwent two changes during the Mizuki ritual: Kurapika, who possesses scarlet eyes.

Initially, when Kurapika used the Water Formation under normal circumstances, it displayed the Conjuration system.

However, when he activates Scarlet Eyes and performs Water Release: Water Release again, he will become a Specialist.

Furthermore, Kurapika's special ability is extremely powerful. He is versatile in all five elements, able to fully utilize the abilities of each element, and also possesses special abilities. In addition, with the combination of restraint and oath, Kurapika is completely the counterpart to the Phantom Troupe's Noble Phantasm.

Vega lowered his head and thought: "If you only use Nen, then it's a Conjuration type. But if you use it along with experience points, then it becomes a Specialization type, and its power is quite astonishing, possessing a corrosive ability."

If one possesses sufficient Nen, coupled with the added power of experience points, it's likely that an average Nen user wouldn't be able to withstand this killing blow.

From this perspective, this method of use can be considered as one's trump card.

Thinking of this, Vega glanced coldly at a detached building not far away.

That building was where he had been hiding, but after Vega killed the Shelby family's gunmen, he didn't immediately look for another place to hide.

Instead, he cautiously hid in a tall building at the end of the street, silently watching the building.

Vega was not content to live as a stray dog, hiding and running, because he wanted to become a hunter and start hunting down the Shelby family from this moment on.

So after eliminating Shelby's gunmen, he immediately came up with an idea: a trap specifically designed for the Shelby family.

He pretended to be an informant who was calling for a bounty, revealing that he had seen Vongola Vega in this building.

As Vega had predicted, the Shelby family became excited upon hearing the news, praising him without hesitation and ordering him to continue monitoring the situation. They promised a generous reward once the information was confirmed.

Of course, if there are any unexpected situations, they must be reported immediately.

Just over half an hour after Vega squatted on the high-rise building, more than ten cars rushed over.

Dozens of Shelby family gunmen got out of their cars, surrounded the building with menacing expressions, and pointed their guns at it.

A moment later, a luxury car drove up from the street and stopped steadily outside the encirclement at a safe distance. Then, a man in his forties with a scar on his face and a fierce expression got out.

A burly man in a suit ran up quickly and respectfully called out in a low voice from three meters away, "Lord Griffin."

Griffin waved his hand casually and asked sternly, "How's the situation?"

"Sir, we've surrounded this area. Not even a fly will get away." The captain immediately replied, "We're just waiting for your order to rush in and turn those Vongola brats into a swarm of bees."

Griffin glared at him and shouted, "Then what are we waiting for? Hurry up and rush in so that the Vongola family can reunite in hell!"

Upon hearing the order, the squad leader immediately shouted loudly at the gunmen, "First squad, charge in and kill everyone inside!"

"yes,."

"Yes, it's the captain."

At the captain's command, more than ten gunmen, their faces filled with murderous intent, rushed into the building.

"You're fairly quick." Griffin glanced at him, then took a cigarette out of his pocket and put it in his mouth.

Upon seeing this, the squad leader immediately took out a lighter and respectfully lit a cigarette for Griffin. Then, pointing to the building, he said smugly, "Lord Griffin, before you even finish this cigarette, you'll see that little Vega's corpse being dragged out."

No sooner had the words left his mouth than a loud bang came from inside the building, and countless pieces of rubble flew out in all directions, leaving the surrounding gunmen with bloodied heads.

The building creaked and began to shake violently.

As countless cracks spread across the building, it collapsed with a loud bang.

Countless dust particles rose into the air, engulfing the entire area in dust.

Several more grenades fell from the sky and landed in the dust.

Bang,

Bang,

Explosions rang out continuously, and countless screams echoed throughout the street.

Griffin, whose face was already slashed by rubble, roared angrily, his face covered in blood, "There's an ambush! It's a trap! Get out of here!"

"Retreat, retreat quickly! Don't stay in the smoke; you'll just be sitting ducks here."

Although Griffin roared for everyone to retreat, he immediately climbed back onto his car, scrambled into the driver's seat, put the car in reverse, and was ready to escape the trap at any moment.

He waited quietly for his men to rush out of the smoke-filled area, using them as targets to draw fire.

Sporadic gunshots and screams could be heard coming from afar.

Griffin sensed the time was right and immediately stepped on the gas, speeding backwards towards the street corner he remembered.

As soon as they reversed out of the smoke, they immediately turned the car around and prepared to speed away, when they saw a grenade thrown not far ahead.

With a loud bang, the car was overturned by the blast wave.

Covered in blood, Griffin struggled to unbuckle his seatbelt, trying to climb out of the car, but the car was firmly stuck, preventing him from moving, due to the damage to his thighs and legs.

Then, the sound of footsteps approached slowly from afar.

Griffin raised his blood-covered head and looked out, only to see a boy of about fifteen or sixteen years old walking out of the darkness with a pistol, firing a shot at each of the corpses he passed.

"Griffin of the Shelby family, the third most important person in the family." A cold voice came softly from the boy's mouth.

Seeing Griffin crawling around like a dog trying to escape, Vega didn't say anything, but coldly pointed the gun at his head.

"Bang."

Then a corpse fell to the ground, blood flowing out and staining the ground bright red.
