Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Bunker Life 4

And so, having finished finding the trident, we were returning with light hearts aboard the 'Queen Anne's Revenge'. On the way back, Salazar's 'The Silent Mary' was chasing the 'Dying Gull' that Jack Sparrow was temporarily using, but 'The Silent Mary' was too broken to gain speed and couldn't close the distance.

"Jack Sparrow! You there!!!"

"Would you stop if you were me!!!"

Barbossa and I were watching the scene with amusement.

"Euhahaha! This is the most amusing sight I've seen in my life so far."

"Yeah, you don't get to see a sight like this easily."

We drank and enjoyed the view before returning to Barbossa's hideout island. However, Barbossa's crew members were busily moving about. At first, I thought they were just tidying up after docking, but watching more closely, they seemed to be building something. Curious, I asked Barbossa.

"What are they making now?"

"Your wedding venue."

"Huh? What did you say?"

"Aren't you going to get married? I want to see my grandchild soon."

"Ahem..."

I was flustered by the sudden wedding, but it wasn't like I disliked Carina. If only it weren't for the breath. And so, the wedding venue was quickly built, and the wedding began. The ceremony passed in a blur. It was my first wedding too, so I was dazed.

"Bride's entrance!"

I don't know where she got it, but Carina entered shyly, holding Barbossa's hand, dressed in a beautiful white dress. A priestess from who-knows-where came to officiate. Where did they bring her from in just one day?

"The groom shall cherish and love the bride, blah blah---"

Barbossa was crying next to us for some sad reason.

"Now groom, you may kiss the bride."

Still dazed, I forgot that Carina hadn't brushed her teeth and that her breath smelled, swept up in the mood, I kissed her. When the smell from her mouth hit me, I finally remembered about the breath. I had no choice but to endure the smell and finish the kiss with Carina. Perhaps due to the [Acting] skill, there was no change in my expression.

'Ah! Damn, breath smells like poop... I was so out of it I forgot to use [Life Magic]. Need to brush quickly...'

"I now pronounce you husband and wife!"

Wah wah~~~~!!

The pirates cheered.

Ding~!

Event

[Reward for first heroine NTR achievement: 5000 points granted]

So they give rewards for things like this as events too. Carina and I moved to the bridal chamber Barbossa had prepared. While moving, I used [Life Magic] on both Carina and myself to simply remove odors from our mouths and bodies.

"My body suddenly feels refreshed."

"It's just your mood because we just got married."

"I see. I'm so happy. That we got married. It feels like a dream."

"Yeah, I'm happy too. So a witch and a wizard got married?"

"Huhut~ I guess so."

We entered the bridal chamber, hastily made by the pirates, childishly decorated with flowers stuck all over. Still, they seemed to have put some effort as it didn't smell. And so, the two of us spent our wedding night.

The next day, I thought there was nothing more to gain from this worldview, but looking at Carina sleeping beside me, it felt like a waste to just see the ending. So I decided to leave it be and, whenever I got bored, visit to enjoy my newlywed life in the Caribbean.

"Leisure End."

[Ending the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales world.]

[Calculating rewards.]

[Carina's Bond Level 8]

[Barbossa's Bond Level 6]

[Salazar's Bond Level 2]

...

[Acquired 10,537 points as progression reward for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.]

"Huh? It doesn't say to watch the ending. Ah! It's because I didn't kill 'Salazar'."

It seems the ending didn't trigger because I didn't kill 'Salazar', who is a sort of boss-level enemy. That's probably why the reward points seem lower than from 'Jumper'.

"Well, I had no intention of watching the ending anyway, so does it matter?"

Now that I got teleportation from 'Jumper', I had something to do. I moved to the bunker warehouse, grabbed a shovel and candles, then teleported to my father's grave holding my mother's remains.

It was my first outing from the real bunker in 18 years. As soon as I stepped out, a scorching heat hit my skin carried by the wind. All the trees were dried up and skeletal, and the ground was cracked. The ozone layer didn't seem to be doing its job either.

"Wow... no wonder there are no survivors..."

Even I, with high stamina and [Fire Resistance], find it hot; ordinary people wouldn't last long outside. I first selected some large dead trees and made a coffin to hold my mother's remains. My excellent swordsmanship meant it didn't take too long. Then, next to my father's grave, I used the shovel I brought to dig the earth deep, carefully placed the coffin containing my mother's remains, and buried it. Having no ceremonial food, I took out a random lunchbox and alcohol from my inventory, placed them as offerings, and held a simple memorial service.

"Father, I have brought mother. I promised I would bury her here."

A few tears fell. Honestly, I could go to the Naruto world and steal [Edo Tensei] and [Rinne Rebirth] to revive them, but with the world like this, it would be meaningless.

"I promise I will turn back time or do whatever it takes to prevent the world from changing like this. Until then, please take good care of mother. May you both rest in peace."

After finishing the memorial service, I returned to the bunker to compose myself a bit, then came out again. It was to check [Poseidon's Trident] obtained from 'Pirates of the Caribbean'; the phrase 'World-locked item' attached to its description was bothering me.

I moved to a nearby sea, took out [Poseidon's Trident] from my inventory, and tried to use it.

[Worldview is different. Cannot use this item.]

[Worldview is different. Cannot use this item.]

[Worldview is different. Cannot use this item.]

"Damn... Now I understand what 'World-locked item' means."

It seems [Poseidon's Trident] draws its power from the sea of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' worldview. Trying to use it made the feeling clear. For example, if the sea of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' worldview is a broadcasting station, then the TV is [Poseidon's Trident]. If you go to another world, you can't watch broadcasts on the TV. Using a [Penalty Removal Ticket] wouldn't help either because the TV itself only transmits broadcasts; it doesn't have the ability to create them. In other words, it wasn't a penalty.

"Still, I got two good items, so I'll be satisfied with that."

I used teleportation to return to the bunker and checked the accumulated points.

"Status Window."

"Ooh~ A lot has piled up!"

Perhaps because I visited two worlds, a considerable number of points had accumulated.
