The flames were still falling like dying stars.
Metal screeched. Sparks danced across the ruined highway. The air reeked of smoke, gasoline, and the thick, wet smell of blood.
Leon groaned as he forced himself up from a pile of twisted seats.
"Helena…?" he rasped.
A faint cough answered him.
Helena Harper crawled out from behind a broken row of seats, gripping her shoulder."I'm okay… I think. The plane… it went down fast."
Leon looked around sharply."We're not alone."
Footsteps approached—calm, steady, too controlled to be civilians.
A silhouette stepped through the burning wreckage.
Jake Muller.Behind him, Sherry Birkin limped toward them.
Jake smirked. "Guess we're the only ones who walk away from exploding planes in style."
Sherry shot him a look. "Not the time."
Leon stood fully, scanning the sky."That blast wasn't an accident. Simmons… he's still moving."
Helena wiped blood from her face."He's trying to spread the C-Virus globally. We need to stop him before—"
A thunderous metallic stomp shook the ground.
Helena froze.Jake cursed.Sherry reached for her pistol.
Leon's hand went cold.
"…Helena… run."
Because from behind the flaming debris—
USTANAK rose, roaring like a living tank.
"Not this thing again," Jake breathed.
Its mechanical fist cracked the road beneath it.
Leon chambered his pistol and stood in front.
"Like old times… Let's make this quick."
The battle for Tokyo began.
BACK INSIDE THE TOKYO BUNKER (NOBITA + CHRIS)
The steel bunker doors sealed behind them with a deep metallic thud.
Chris Redfield stood in silence, arms crossed, studying Nobita like a soldier examines a suspicious weapon.
Everyone—Shizuka, Gian, Suneo, Dekisuki, Doraemon—watched nervously.
"You said a name," Chris finally spoke."Not just Leon. You said Simmons."
Nobita didn't flinch.
Doraemon whispered, "N-Nobita… be careful…"
Chris stepped closer, his intense eyes locked onto Nobita."No civilian should know that name. Even most BSAA agents don't. Leon would never share it casually."
Nobita met his gaze without fear.
"That's because…"He took a breath."…I wasn't a civilian. Not last time."
Chris frowned."What do you mean 'last time'?"
Everyone looked at Nobita in confusion.
Nobita closed his eyes. His voice trembled—not in fear, but from the weight of truth.
"I died once."
The bunker went completely silent.
"Leon and Helena were there," Nobita continued softly."We fought through Tall Oaks, then tokyo, the President's death… Simmons' betrayal… and the C-Virus outbreak."
Doraemon gasped.Shizuka covered her mouth.Even Gian looked like he forgot how to breathe.
Nobita's hands tightened into fists.
"I… died."
Chris didn't move.But his expression shifted—slightly, subtly.
Nobita continued:
"Simmons used a missile. It explodes in mid-air. A black fog spreads. People turn in seconds…Tokyo becomes a graveyard."
Everyone shivered.
"And Leon…" Nobita whispered, voice cracking,"…tried to stop Simmons until the very last second...maybe you known"
Dekisuki whispered shakily:"H-he's… he's describing things nobody outside the government knows…"
Chris stepped forward suddenly.
"Boy."
"Yes."
"Prove it."
Nobita didn't argue.
He recited details with surgical precision:
"Simmons boarded a transport plane. It carried the C-Virus missile. Then hunningan called leon .she said,'leon, Simmons is heading toward Tokyo. We might not make it.'she told him"and..now...leon will tell to you...now
The bunker fell dead silent.
Chris's breath froze.
Because Nobita had repeated word-for-word a classified phone call no civilian should ever know existed.
"…How…" Chris whispered, eyes narrowing."How could a kid like you—"
Before he could finish—
A soldier ran in shouting:
"Captain Redfield! We picked up a signal—Leon Kennedy's transmission!"
Chris snatched the radio.
"Leon?! Kennedy, can you hear me?!"
Static.
Then—
Leon's strained voice, breaking through smoke and chaos:
"Chris… Simmons… Tokyo… not much time…"
Gunshots echoed in the background.A metallic roar shook the transmission.
"… again—"
The radio cut.
Everyone in the bunker froze.
Chris slowly turned toward Nobita.
Every doubt he had vanished.
"You knew," Chris said quietly."You knew this would happen before any of us."
Nobita nodded."I lived it before."
And Chris believed him.
Chris motioned with his head.
"You. Come with me."
Doraemon grabbed Nobita's arm.
"W-wait, where are you taking him?!"
Chris answered without turning around.
"To see if he's worth trusting."
They stepped out of the bunker and into the outer BSAA camp—tents, weapons crates, injured soldiers, emergency medics everywhere.
The sky was red, burning.
Sirens echoed across destroyed buildings.
Chris stopped and pointed at Nobita's hand.
"That's your weapon?"
Nobita looked at the shard of broken glass still lodged in his palm, dried blood around the edges.
"It's all I had," he replied.
Chris sighed in disbelief.
"No kid fights with glass unless he's desperate… or determined."
Nobita stayed silent.
Chris stepped closer, lowering his voice.
"When you pushed that zombie earlier… the soldiers told me. You kept your stance steady. No panic. No hesitation. That's not normal."
Nobita looked down.
"I don't have the luxury to hesitate. Not this time."
Chris's eyes softened—slightly.
"You really did fight with Leon… didn't you?"
Nobita nodded.
"And you want to go to him now."
Another nod.
Chris took a breath, then pulled something out of his belt.
A survival combat dagger—military grade, matte black, reinforced grip, BSAA emblem etched on the blade.
"Nobita," Chris said firmly.
"You're walking into hell out there. And you won't survive with a piece of glass."
He placed the dagger into Nobita's hands.
The weight felt real. Heavy. Powerful.
Nobita stared at it, his eyes trembling.
"For someone who fought a war before," Chris said,
"…you deserve a real weapon."
Doraemon stood at the bunker doorway, eyes watering, whispering:
"N-Nobita…"
Chris placed a hand on Nobita's shoulder.
"Let's go find Leon."
The chapter ended.
