"Now happy?" Kieffer mocked.
"It can't be," I mumbled in disappointment.
"Did you say that your laptop was clean as you?" Jomaico narrowed his eyes to Francine.
"Look what happen," Dwayne added.
"I'm sure that these laptops were used to hack the program of the computers of this school and the hackers are File Eater and Computer Virus which are these two scumbags," Francine uttered.
"File Eater? Computer Virus?" Dwayne asked in a puzzled tone.
"Stop screwing up! I know that the hackers were the two of you," Francine insisted.
Dwayne smirked. "Accusing us without any proof? You know what will happen if you keep it up."
"You should better shut your mouth than saying nonsense, Francine," Jomaico added.
"Feeling so guilty?" I said, "So the fact was really true that the two of you are the hackers."
"That's far enough, Alrisha." Kieffer stated, "Why don't you just get the hell out of my room?"
"Yea, that's a good idea," I replied sarcastically as I turned around, went outside, and departed. I was stamping my feet on the floor in controlled anger.
Francine also followed me. While we were departing, I heard Kieffer's voice from behind.
"Hey Alrisha, why don't you just wave the white flag? It's for your own good."
"Wait until pigs can fly!" I replied without looking back.
Later, I heard the door was shut.
Kieffer's POV -
"They're gone," I said.
"Should I laugh right now?" Dwayne was smiling.
"Go ahead. I'll support you," Mico answered.
When we made sure that they were gone, we burst into laughter.
We won on the case, as always.
"Very impressive," I complimented with a smile.
"Of course, it's just a piece of cake," Mico responded.
"But how did you transfer all the viruses on Francine's laptop?" I wondered.
"Easy. I intentionally left one video undeleted in the control room, since I'm the Computer Virus, and put all those viruses there. So when she clicks that video, all the viruses will transfer to her laptop," Mico illustrated.
"You're very lucky. She didn't notice it," I responded.
"That's right. Francine's laptop has an anti-virus. It would pop up on the side if the viruses are detected. Just like mine," Dwayne said.
"I deactivated it," Mico answered with confidence.
"How?" Dwayne and I asked at the same time.
"What a question. Remember what's the view of her laptop when she put it?" Mico replied with an arrogant smile.
"It was close," Dwayne answered.
"I see. You entered the program of her laptop while it was off and deactivated the anti-virus," I stated.
"Correct," Mico answered.
"Good thing that the program wasn't changed," I replied.
"It's because I didn't change anything. I only deactivated the anti-virus," Mico smiled, "And the rest happened just as you've witnessed."
"So what's your plan for tomorrow?" Dwayne asked.
"Yeah right. I heard that Alrisha has a PowerPoint report tomorrow, in your Biology class," Mico said emphasizing the word 'your'
"you said 'your'?" I replied in confusion.
"Don't tell me you forgot it?" Dwayne said.
"Forget what?" My eyebrows meet.
"You and Acquisha are classmates in Biology," Mico answered.
"Oh right. I totally forgot about it." I said.
"So what's the plan?" Mico asked.
"I won't do anything," I smirked, "But in Spanish class, I will."
"Much better." Dwayne agreed.
Elaina's POV-
I was on my bed now, taking some rest while reading novels. It's my hobby, you know. I really love reading novels and what I love the most is mystery novels. I have a huge collection of that. At home, of course. And right now, I'm reading Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl when the door suddenly opened and slammed shut. That made me bounce from bed. How rude! I glanced and found Alrisha walked straight to her bed with a grim face and dropped her body down on her bed.
"What's with that face?" I casually asked.
"Never mind. I don't want to talk about it," She wasn't looking at me.
"Well...." I shrugged and laid the book down on the table beside my bed, "I guess, Kieffer won again." Then I sat with my legs folded.
"I don't want to discuss it, Elaina," She shut her eyes.
"For a change, your mom called while you're somewhere," I informed her.
"When?" She instantly raised from bed.
"A few minutes ago," I sounded unsure.
"What did she say?" Her brows meet.
"She said, your phone was out-of-service so she directly called here," I stated, "And call her immediately when you're already here," I added and laid down again on my bed and continued reading.
"Actually, the battery died." She stood as she picked her phone and threw it on the edge of her bed.
Alrisha's POV-
Okay. My mom called, just like Elaina said, a few minutes ago. I wonder what this was about. I guess my great activities here reached my mom's ears.
I went to the telephone next to the door and dialed my mom's number.
It rang several times before someone answered.
"Hello?"
"It's me, mom." I sighed.
"Alrisha? What's with that sigh?" My mom said,
"Don't mind it," I paused, "I heard from Elaina that you called while I'm out."
"Yea and where have you been? It's already past 6 pm and you're still not in your dorm," She was starting to get mad. I really didn't notice the time.
"Calm down, mom. Just roaming around." I lied.
She sighed, "Oh well, on Saturday night there'll be a partnership party. Celebrating the 10 years of partnership of Young Authors Publishing and Dreamworld Films. Celebrating the success of 2 companies as partners in 10 years," Mom explained.
"Then?"
"Don't just say then!" Mom yelled.
"Mom, you don't need to yell," I stated.
"You kid... You're putting my temperature high," She replied in a low voice.
"I'm sorry. Calm down," I reply with a soft tone.
"Let's just continue," She swallowed, "On Saturday morning, I'm going to your school and pick you up, so be ready."
"Why? Don't tell me–"
"Yup. You have to be there," She cut my statement.
"Why? Is there something to do with me?" I objected.
"Of course! Don't be silly, Alrisha," She tried to be calm, "You're the next CEO of Dreamworld Films."
"Mom," I said in a mood-less tone.
"Whether you want it or not, I'm going to pick you up on Saturday," She sounded as if commanding.
I sighed, "Fine."
"That's all. Anyway, are you already done eating your dinner?" She asked, concerned.
As expected of mothers.
"Not yet but after this call, I'll eat" I responded.
"Eat well, always be careful and take care. I love you, darling. Keep safe." She sweetly said.
"I love you too, mom," I replied and hung up the phone.
"Always be careful? Take care? Keep safe? How can I?" I mumbled.
"What's wrong?" Elaina asked as she put down the novel that she was reading.
"Did your mom or dad tell you about the partnership party?" I asked.
"Yea and maybe I'm coming. How about you?" She asked.
"Maybe that's how it goes." I shrugged. I didn't have any other choice.
"Are you sure?"
"Do I have a choice?" I grimaced.
She smirked, "Well, let's get something to eat?"
"Sure," I smied.
She closed the book and put it on the top of the table beside her bed. I opened the door and we walked together to the cafeteria.
Oh, by the way, Dreamworld Films was my parent's company and I was the only heir of their company. that was why my mom said that I would be the next CEO shortly... And the partner of my parents' company was Young Authors Publishing. As I had known, they were partners for 10 years. YAP was owned by 3 people. From Zachary's family; Elaina's mom and dad, and… wait... the 3rd person? Should I ask this myself again?
Am I really going to attend the partnership party? Because I might not be able to see the future but I already knew it will be a big mess.
I swear.
Now, we made it to the cafeteria. And it was really full of students.
"What shall we do? It seems that there's no vacant," She said,
"Get food and take it to our dorm.," I suggested.
"Good idea." She agreed.
Then we walked to the counter to ask for some food. While we were going, I heard Jomaico's voice calling Elaina. Elaina stopped and had some talk with him. While me? I didn't pay attention to them, I just continued walking.
When I was almost to the counter, there was something that blocked my right foot and I fell to the ground. My face hit the floor and spoiled foods spilled on the back of my head.
I groaned. And all of the students there laugh very hard.
Geez! Give me a break.
Elaina hurriedly went to my side and guided me to stand.
"You alright?" Elaina was surely worried.
I nodded.
She wiped my face using her handkerchief.
"Where's the table of 3 kings?" I asked.
"Over there. Second to the last at the left row," She pointed their table as she illustrated.
When I'm about to step towards them, Elaina blocked my way, "Let me be your voice for tonight."
I nodded with a little objection. That was when she turned around and went to their table. I guess I would hand it to her for tonight. I was too tired for this.
"Kieffer, will you give her a break?" She harshly said.
"Elaina, we're just playing," Kieffer replied with a mocking smile.
She angrily hit the table with her hand and yelled, "How many times do I need to tell you that humans are not toys!?"
That was when the crowd kept quiet and turned their heads to the table of 3 kings as the smile of 3 kings vanished.
"Oh really? Could you just cut that pathetic hero drama of yours?" He sarcastically responded.
Her eyebrows meet. "Where's your humanity!? Aren't you satisfied with doing this in 2 years!?" She said raising her voice.
Kieffer stood and kicked the table and Suzy took a few steps backwards, "I don't need your opinion! And I'm the only one who will say enough!"
"You really childish, Kieffer. No matter what angle I look at you, 19 years old doesn't suit you," Elaina said in a low sarcastic tone.
"The hell did you say!?" He angrily yelled and Dwayne and Jomaico immediately stood and grabbed his arms.
"Let's Leave, Alrisha I'll just ask Francine for our dinner," Elaina said as she walked towards me.
Kieffer tried to remove his arms from the grip of Dwayne and Jomaico but it was too tight.
"Relax, dude. She's your cousin," Dwayne remained.
"Really? I wonder why I wasn't informed about that," He said as he pushed Dwayne and Jomaico away from his arms.
And after that, we went back to our dorm. When we arrived, Elaina went next room to ask Francine for our dinner.
What a long and tiresome day. Lots of crazy things happened. After our dinner, I would go straight to dreamland to have a good rest.
