"Uhhh who are you again?", I said remembering that I'm supposed to have amnesia.
"I am the owner of the company you work in", so if I didn't know that you'd give me such a scare huh?, I was dissing the flowers sent by my boss, let's just pray he doesn't send me to the afterlife next.

"My partner hand picked them just for you, cause she felt guilty for what she did."

"Guilty for what she did?, what did she do?", I said trying to avoid this shipwreck of a conversation and I honestly do not know what she did, was she involved in my accident perhaps?.
"She hit you with a car", he said stoicly and plainly, I just lay there in shock, she hit me with a whole ass car, she could've killed me, well she did kill me to be fair, too bad I came into this body. No wonder he's paying my hospital bills.
"Did you take her to driving school after that?" "It was an accident and plus you were walking mindlessly on the road", is he really defending her actions?, like I literally got hit by a car.
"I'd like to see a footage", I stated, he was taken back and appeared confused before the expression completely disappeared from his face, "What footage?" "The footage of me walking mindlessly on the road of course"
I really don't know if I was actually walking mindlessly on the road cause that was such a me thing to do but I'm not sure it's a Ria thing to do.
Carson's eyes darkened, he looked at me like I was some kind of ant that needed to be squashed, "Or can't you provide it?", I said with a sly grin on my face, Carson's eyebrows twitched, "I can, I'll bring it over ", he said as he pulled out he pulled out a phone from his pocket and left the room probably to take a call.
He seemed pretty hesitant to show me the footage, Maddie definitely did something wrong in it and he was trying to cover her up but it wouldn't work.
Ugh I can't believe her incompetence ended this poor soul's life. The Y/N gives me the ick, seriously I can feel myself twitching just by thinking about her, how did Carson manage to live with this girl.
Carson interrupted my thoughts yet again by walking into my ward like he owned,bwell he technically did but that doesn't matter!.
"Where's the footage?", I say while blankly staring at him, "Right in my phone" "Then let's not waste your precious time Carson, let's get this over with and I hope this footage isn't doctored cause you're a man of integrity, well that's what the Internet says", I say with a definitely not sweet smile on my face, "You've been searching me up on the Internet?", he said raising a brow, "What part of I lost my memories do you not understand?".
He chuckled but stop abruptly, "Watch your tone, I'm still your boss", oh yh he remembered he employed me and gets to decide my financial status ugh, "Your girlfriend almost killed me, I think you should watch your tone or else I'll post it on all my socials, I know your family doesn't like her, it's a good way of tainting her image, don't you think?"

Carson gritted his teeth and his eyes shot daggers at me too bad I'm scared of nothing but frogs. He proceeded to say absolutely nothing and gave me his phone with a paused video displayed on the screen. I assumed it was the footage I asked for.
I hit play and the video started. First I just saw the road which was empty as hell, not a single car or a single soul was there. After a few minutes I came in, I stood at the side walks making a call, I seemed pretty happy and then what I would've never expected happened, a car which I assume was Maddie's car, was on high speed and eventually swerved and hit me, who hadn't moved from the sidewalks!!!!.
Forget driving school she should get arrested.
Carson was observing me closely and definitely noticed my visible discomfort. The video stopped playing and I just kept staring at the screen, at some point I saw my reflection on the phone's screen, I looked pale and visibly distraught.
I looked up at Carson who was waiting for me to say something, "She's still living the life with you huh?", I say with a tone laced with malice, "She's walking around scot free, eating exotic food, sleeping and waking up any time she wants when she almost ended a life, and you seem ok with it" "She feels very much guilty about it", Carson said, of course he'd defend her.
"Sure, her Instafram totally implied that, cause her date nights and outings with friends and skipping work to be with you are definitely proof of guilt", Carson paused for a minute, he was getting angry but he knew he was wrong so if he blew up he knew he would be blamed for whatever happened.
"I told her not to think about it to much", he said in a low tone, "Oh really, I guess she definitely took that advice to heart".
Carson gritted his teeth again, he was definitely frustrated, he seemed pretty frantic,what love does for a human.
"What do you want?!", huh? What do I want?, I don't want anything, your but h literally took a life cause she felt funky, but this offer was too much of a golden opportunity to pass off.
"Hmmm, what I want.... oh I know, you're gonna pay me ten thousand dollars.... monthly".
