My Girlfriend Is Stronger Than the Demon Lord – Volume 20 (Chapter 20)
The demon realm was quiet—too quiet.
Aria and I were walking through the lava gardens, enjoying a rare peaceful morning. Birds—well, firebirds—chirped. The lava fountains bubbled. Even Gorvath seemed… calm.
"I think," Aria said, leaning on my shoulder, "we might actually have a normal day today."
I smiled, squeezing her hand. "I'll believe it when I see it."
No sooner had I said that than a horn blared from the castle gates.
"The Shadow Clan again?" I asked, groaning.
Aria sighed, cheeks pink. "Not exactly… this time it's a coalition: northern, southern, eastern tribes… and the Shadow Clan. They want to test me… politically, magically, and apparently socially."
I blinked. "Socially?"
She shrugged. "Eren, in their minds, if I can't handle diplomacy and chaos, I'm unfit to rule."
The delegations arrived in waves, each trying to intimidate her. Weapons were drawn. Spells crackled. Yet, Aria simply raised her staff, aura glowing faintly. The air shimmered.
"Eren… watch this," she said softly.
With a single motion, all weapons froze midair. Spells paused mid-cast. Lava fountains tilted in respect. The delegations were immobilized, yet unharmed.
I whispered, "She's… literally stopped them all… without hurting anyone."
Aria smiled. "Strength isn't about destruction, Eren. It's about control… and knowing when to be gentle."
One by one, she guided the delegates to kneel, lowering their weapons, leaving the leaders humbled but alive.
Then, she turned to me, pink cheeks and all. "Eren… now, let's have our breakfast. We've earned it."
I exhaled, laughing nervously. "I swear, every day is a mix of chaos, romance, and… awe-inspiring power."
Aria leaned her head on my shoulder. "And that's why I want you with me, Eren. Chaos or calm… we face it together."
For a moment, the demon realm seemed peaceful. But I knew, as long as Aria ruled, chaos and love would always be intertwined, and I wouldn't want it any other way.
