"Reporting to Command Centre of Spacestation B-479, a random spacecraft has landed on one of the spaceports of our Spacestation."
"Soldier, approach the spacecraft and report back if anything of value is found."
"Yes, Sir. I'll be on my move."
He disconnected the phoning device.
"Aww man, why does stuff only during my port security hours. I guess I gotta go see what this bullshit's about."
The Soldier slowly walked towards the spacecraft ready to fire if needed.
Gridlock popped out of Tin and before he could say anything, the soldier pointed a blaster at him.
Gridlock looked stunned.
"Woah! Relax, buddy... I'm just a dude who was drifting through the cosmos, came across this spacestation and thought he could fix his ship here. That's it, alright? No need to be pointing that blaster at me."
"You are not welcome, leave." The blaster slowly ignited.
"Geez... What's up with this guy? Why does he have to be so hostile? What kinda station is this?"
"Fine, I'm leaving." Gridlock wasn't showing it but he was panicking inside. Tin didn't have much left in the tank & the hyperdrive was damaged as well. The only planet he could reach without it was Plain.
But suddenly, the soldier noticed something very peculiar.
Phoning device, back on. "Command Centre, This ship seems to have been made by the Vectors."
" What!? Who is the owner of that Ship?"
"It's just seems to be a random human, Sir."
Then, The Command Centre dispatched their last message.
"Bring him to us."
After a stressful argument with his sister, Finn Greenferm had been summoned in the Central Room of the Greenfern mansion by his father, Thorn Greenfern. Thorn looked at his son with an expression Finn had never seen before. A look of sadness & regret.
"Son, You know I've always spoiled you. You've never seen any problems or worries in your life."
"I know, Father. I will always be grateful to you for that."
"Are you? I don't think so..... I know what kind of person you've become, my son."
Finn looked torn. "What are you trying to say, Father?"
Thorn took a deep breath. He hesitated for a bit but said what he wanted to.
"I'm sending you on a mission. Go after the heinous criminal Gridlock and bring him back to Plain."
Finn looked distraught, scared & most of all, he looked betrayed.
"What? WHAT!?" The room went silent. His father looked down disappointed. Although, it was not clear who he was disappointed at.
"The five soldiers I sent have failed. All their ships have disconnected from our Control Centre. Son, The time for you to prove that you are worthy to sit on the throne after me has come. You must go after Gridlock."
"What the hell is this old man saying? I can't go after a prisoner... I'm not ready for anything yet... let alone going to outerspace after a criminal... I'm scared... I'm scared..."
Finn shouted at the top of his lungs. "No! I can't do this! You know I can't do this, dad! Please!"
"You must." After saying that, Thorn quietly left the room leaving Finn standing there dumbfounded trying to process the conversation he just had.
"I'm gonna die... I'm gonna die..."
Finn was ready with equipment and was climbing aboard his spacecraft. He still felt like this wasn't reality. He wanted it all to be a dream, he was terrified. Thorn chose to send Finn alone with no other soldiers backing him up. He had deeply regretted not having Finn grow up into a powerful man and he wanted to change that no matter what.
Finn's mother, Amethyst Greenfern, was crying in her bedroom while Anita was trying to comfort her.
"My innocent young boy... He can't do this..."
"I know, Mother. I tried to make Dad reconsider but I failed. I'm sorry, Mother."
"Do not apologize, my child. It is not your fault. It's all thorn's doing! What the hell has gotten into his head?"
"It'll all be okay, Mom. I have faith in Finn. I've always believed there was potential for him to do something great. Maybe, this is it."
Finn's spacecraft launched & left Plain's orbit while tracking Tin. For the first time in his life, Finn left his home to venture forth into the unknown horrors of Space.
"All is well." He wanted to try and comfort himself but no matter what he said to himself, he was terrified. He had never even held a blaster before. After a while, Finn slowly approached Tin landed on a spaceport. "Alright... I can do this... I can do this! He's just a filthy criminal & I'm a prince! I can do this for sure!"
Gridlock was handcuffed and brought to The Command Centre of Spacestation B-479 by the soldier who had first noticed his arrival. In the Command Centre, Gridlock faced high ranking members of Andromedous. Among them was Sir Zecht.
"How did a lowly criminal like you manage to get his hands on a ship made by the Vectors?"
"None of your business! Jackass!" Gridlock was immediately electrocuted by his handcuffs. "What the hell!?"
"If you don't want your pain to continue any longer, answer my question."
Gridlock started laughing. "Listen here, jackass. When I said 'What the hell!?', I meant 'What the hell!? This is it?'. Don't you know who I am, huh? You need better handcuffs than that if you want any answers out of me."
"Aren't you a funny one, eh? And, I do know who you are. I did some research while you were being brought here. Mr. Gridlock James, a Wanted Criminal in various planets through out the Galaxy. You must be quite the celebrity in the criminal world."
Gridlock chuckled. "You're a funny one too, jackass." He was then electricuted again.
"You're identity makes me all the more curious. How did lowly criminal scum get your filthy hands on a ship made by The Vectors. Hey, soldier."
The Soldier who brought Gridlock was still there. "Yes, Sir?"
"Take him to one of our cells. We can make him answer some time later. We have more important matters to worry about today."
"Understand, Sir Zecht." The soldier went over to catch Gridlock. "Get your hands off me, man! I can walk by my self."
Zordan, who was also on The Command Centre, looked worried. "It is a shame this is happening on the day The Supreme Leader is coming."
In Spacestation A-1, currently situated 500 light years away, the soldiers were preparing for the jump into hyperspace. The destination was Spacestation B-479. An extremely powerful weapon was being constructed on Spacestation B-479 and The Supreme Leader wanted to observe the progress.
The Supreme Leader, sat on the throne in the middle of the Command Centre, questioned Admiral Denzer. "How much longer till we jump into hyperspace, Admiral?"
"Only a few minutes, My Lord. We shall be there soon."
