Dorian's heart raced as he picked up the call. The butler's voice crackled through the phone, sharp with urgency and threaded with barely restrained panic, as though something feral had torn loose within the walls of the estate.
"Mr. Wayne—something dreadful has occurred! Miss Bonnie… she's gone!"
Dorian's expression hardened instantly, his features darkening the way storm clouds swallowed the moon before a full transformation. His grip tightened around the phone, knuckles paling.
"Explain," he growled. "Now."
The butler swallowed audibly.
"Earlier tonight, Miss Bonnie returned to the Wayne estate unexpectedly. She may have overheard a private discussion. After that, she fled into the night. We've already dispatched the pack guards to search the grounds and surrounding streets, but there's no trace of her scent. It's as if she vanished."
