Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 Magical Tracking Glasses

"Hiss—"

After carefully reading the item description on the panel, Luca immediately took a sharp breath, making his small contribution to Global warming.

It wasn't that he didn't recognize the 'Conan's crime tracking glasses', but this was the first time Luca had realized just how many functions were integrated into this small gadget.

Logically speaking, eavesdropping, tracking, binoculars, thermal imaging... all of these functions, when taken individually, aren't exactly magical black technology.

But, a tracking and eavesdropping range of 20 kilometers, plus various other scattered functions, all condensed into an ordinary-looking, unremarkable pair of glasses?

And it was even a thin, half-rimmed pair of glasses??

The only thing Luca could think of that might be slightly superior was the 'Edith' that Tony Stark of the future made for Spider-Man.

"However, it seems I coincidentally have almost all the necessary parts for these synthesis materials on hand right now?"

He rummaged around in the living room again.

White stood by, watching Luca's movements blankly, unsure whether he should offer to help.

Fortunately, after a short while, Luca managed to gather all the consumables required for the [crime tracking glasses].

However.

"Does a bone-conduction Bluetooth headset count as a miniature earpiece?"

Thinking was useless, so Luca promptly lay on the ground and redrew a magic circle.

He carefully placed the glasses' frame in the center of the magic circle, and the other synthesis materials were also placed in one by one.

"Hmm, the tracking and eavesdropping devices are fine."

He ignored the suitcase-sized tracking device's accompanying equipment.

"The miniature battery is also fine."

He completely disregarded how much power a button battery could actually provide.

"Sure enough, if the size isn't specified, even an antenna can qualify!"

A satellite dish the size of a wok lid was placed at the edge of the compact magic circle.

"Phew~ That's good, that's good, I really am smart!"

Considering the synthesis required a miniature earphone, Luca had a flash of inspiration and directly disassembled the newly arrived bone-conduction headphones, leaving only a few ribbon cables and the necessary vibration speakers, even tossing the microphone aside.

As expected, the last item also passed the verification.

'But if that's the case, if the synthesis panel needs a large speaker in the future, if I just put the Bluetooth headset inside a super-sized megaphone, will it also pass the verification?'

He temporarily pushed this unconfirmed speculation to the back of his mind.

Looking at the magic circle with all the materials already in place, Luca once again pressed his hands down.

'Synthesize!'

White light surged and dissipated.

Subsequently, an ordinary-looking pair of black half-rimmed glasses lay quietly in the center of the magic circle.

Without hesitation, Luca stepped forward and picked up the glasses.

However, upon seeing that the entire pair of glasses was clean and simple, with only a button at the front of each temple on both sides, Luca was somewhat stunned again.

"This? So many functions, but only these two buttons? And no manual?"

It was only then that Luca finally remembered White, who had been standing blankly beside him.

"White, can you scan how to use this thing?"

Upon hearing this, White's eyes immediately lit up, and he quickly scanned the [crime tracking glasses] in Luca's hand.

However, just as Luca watched White finish scanning with anticipation, the guy spoke blankly.

"The structure is similar to plain glasses and is not a medical device. My database does not contain any relevant user manual. Suggest wearing them."

Clang...

Luca, who had been waiting for White's answer, fell to the ground, rolling his eyes in exasperation.

"You scanned so enthusiastically even though you didn't have it..."

No sooner had Luca spoken than White, in front of him, extended a chubby finger and pointed at the [crime tracking glasses] in Luca's hand.

Immediately afterward, the projection screen on White's belly lit up, and various chaotic images quickly flashed across it.

"The target electronic product also does not contain any user manual-related information, and there are no similar products in the network data."

At this point, Luca was completely dumbfounded.

He just stood there foolishly holding the glasses, watching White's series of operations.

It wasn't until he spoke that Luca finally closed his mouth again and asked with immense shock.

"White?? You have this function???"

By this time, the screen on White's belly had already turned off. Upon hearing Luca's question, he tilted his head and looked down at him, answering very matter-of-factly.

"Yes, according to the protocol, I can download any data from the public network through devices with network capabilities to enhance my nursing and medical abilities."

Luca was stunned for a moment upon hearing this, then he realized that the previous description of the [crime tracking glasses] did indeed mention network functionality.

However, for White to be able to directly connect to the network and even probe its data just by touching it, without any interface or the 'other device's' consent, was still a bit too preposterous.

"Public network? Any data?"

"The protocol only allows me to download medical and nursing-related data and store it in relevant partitions, which will not affect other modules within my program."

"Uh, alright, alright."

'It seems I still underestimated the capabilities of these black technologies. To have such a function and only use it to learn nursing knowledge? Isn't this a master of network intrusion?'

Putting aside the exploration of White for now, Luca refocused his attention on the [crime tracking glasses] in his hand.

After some thought, he had nothing to hesitate about. He directly took off his gold-rimmed glasses and put on the [crime tracking glasses].

'Hmm, thankfully, although they are plain glasses, my original body's myopia isn't severe, so it doesn't affect my vision.'

'But how exactly does this thing work? Also, what about the promised accompanying tracking and eavesdropping devices?'

As he thought, Luca reached out and pressed the button on the left temple.

The next moment, the lens in front of his left eye flickered with a faint light and immediately lit up.

At the same time, a very slight click came from the left temple.

'This is?'

Luca's left hand instinctively reached for the small protrusion that had appeared on the temple. With a gentle click, a button-shaped device the size of a fingertip was removed.

Looking at the button device in his palm, and the translucent, radar-like pattern filling the left lens with a red dot constantly flashing in the center of the radar.

"So, this is the tracking device?"

"So, this is the tracking device?"

A slightly delayed echo entered Luca's ear through the bone-conduction earpiece inside the temple.

'Alright. A tracking device, with an eavesdropping function.'

After putting the tracking device back in with a wry smile, Luca lightly pressed the button on the right temple to figure out the other functions.

Only this time, while it didn't eject the tracking device again, it merely switched the screen that had lit up in the left lens to the right.

'This? Didn't it say there were a bunch of functions? Where's the zoom? Where's the thermal imaging?'

Just as Luca was thinking this, the images on the right lens screen switched continuously.

First, it became a square frame, magnifying the scene in front of him, then immediately switched to red and green thermal vision imaging, and the distribution of various heat sources within White's body immediately appeared in Luca's eyes.

"Voice control? No! I didn't say anything just now!"

After several tests, Luca was surprised to find that this so-called [crime tracking glasses], as long as he held down the button on the temple, its other functions were entirely controlled by thought.

Whether it was wanting to eject the tracking device, switch to tracking mode, zoom in or out on a specified location within his vision, lock on and analyze targets, or even thermal imaging, networking, and so on.

All of this could be completed instantly with a single thought.

The speed of recognition and the precision of judgment were simply incomprehensible.

And the two buttons, one on each side, actually only served to switch which screen needed to be activated.

"Damn! This small pair of glasses actually integrates a brainwave sensing device???"
