Ethan shifted on the couch, propping his chin on his hand. "Angel… you said you grew up in an orphanage. How did you end up here?"
Gabriel leaned back slightly, letting his gaze drift to the window for a moment before returning to Ethan. "When I graduated, I moved out of the orphanage. Had to figure things out on my own. Did some part-time jobs, worked my way through… and eventually, I met my boss. He saw something in me, gave me a chance… and well, I kept working. Hard. And now…" He paused, a faint curve of pride in his lips. "I'm a CEO."
Ethan's eyes widened slightly. "CEO… wow. That's huge, Gabriel."
Gabriel's glance softened. "It's not just about the title, Ace. It's the journey that matters."
Ethan tilted his head, curiosity flickering in his eyes. "Then… if you're CEO now, why didn't you buy some big mansion, something flashy? Why this?"
