Chapter 40 - Two Auramasters Beneath the Night Sky.

Chapter—Two Auramasters Beneath the Night Sky.

Days passed quietly, yet the world beneath that calm was constantly shifting.

Luke had settled into a strange routine.

By day, he lived like any other student—school, guild training, dungeon practice, conversations with friends who knew nothing of his nightly journeys.

By night, he became someone else entirely.

A shadow.

A guardian.

A nameless Auramaster.

He helped people while disguising himself—sometimes masking his face, sometimes altering his aura frequency, sometimes changing his clothing so completely that no pattern could be traced. He never stayed long in one place. A rescue here, a dungeon incident there, then gone before anyone could ask questions.

Across the world, sightings multiplied.

And yet—no identity emerged.

Kaizen stood alone in his office, multiple screens glowing before him. Each one displayed reports:

> Auramaster spotted between 1:00–1:07 AM

Auramaster disappeared without trace

Aura signature inconsistent

Kaizen clenched his jaw.

"All sightings occur within specific time slots," he muttered. "But no fixed region. No consistent movement path. It's like he's… deliberately erasing himself."

He leaned back, staring at the ceiling.

Who are you?

And why are you running from the world you're saving?

---

That same night, Luke soared above a distant country of India, moonlight washing over endless forests below. The air was quiet—too quiet.

Auru's glow dimmed slightly.

"Luke," Auru said, voice cautious. "I sense something."

Luke slowed, hovering above the trees. Then he saw it.

A crack.

Smaller than the one in his city—but unmistakably the same. Dark aura pulsed from it like a heartbeat, the surrounding trees bent inward as if afraid.

"This isn't near any city," Luke said quietly. "No reports either."

He descended slowly, landing near the crack.

He peered inside.

The darkness felt alive.

"Auru," Luke asked, "could a devil be inside?"

Auru shimmered uneasily. "Highly possible. The aura density is strong… but—"

It paused.

"There's another aura inside as well."

Luke taughtfully replied. "Hmmm.. there is someone who challenge to go inside."

"There's no time to analyze," Auru said. "We'll only know if we enter."

Luke took a breath.

"Then let's jump."

---

Inside the Crack

The world twisted.

Darkness folded in on itself before Luke landed within the corrupted space.

A laugh echoed.

"Hehehe… what fortune."

Luke frozeamd taught "A voice is coming from beneath there is really a human with a storng aura beneath with devil. I think its is auramaster of this country."

Ahead, a devil stood—its form warped, aura corrupted, eyes glowing crimson. But it wasn't alone.

"I was merely feeding on animals," the devil continued mockingly, "and now you human arrive. How generous the world is today."

Another voice replied—calm, firm.

"You won't get me."

The devil turned. "Oh,Is that so ?,then fight"

The two clashed.

Luke sence from the above as a masked Auramaster fought the devil head-on. Their aura clashed violently, sending shockwaves through the cracked space.

The fight was intense.

The devil staggered back, laughing.

"You're not weak… but still not enough. Reveal your face. I want to see who dares stand against me."

The masked man replied coldly, "I will never allow you to harm this world. I know your kind's goal. And I will stop it."

His aura surged.

"I am an Auramaster."

They collided again.

---

Suddenly, the devil leapt backward, separating from the Auramaster.

Devil stop for sometime and taught "I cannot defeat him with my raw power I have to trick him."

The space went silent.

The masked man tensed, scanning the surroundings. "He vanished…"

Then—

A gentle voice echoed.

"…My child…"

The Auramaster froze.

His breathing faltered.

"…Mother?"

The devil had read his mind.

The voice was warm. Familiar. Loving.

"You've grown so strong," the voice said softly. "Come… you're tired."

The Auramaster's aura flickered.

"No—" he whispered.

That moment was enough.

The devil struck.

The Auramaster was sent flying, crashing into the ground, his aura destabilized. He struggled to rise but failed.

The devil laughed loudly.

"Pathetic. Humans are always slaves to emotion."

A massive sword of corrupted aura formed above the devil.

"Now die."

---

Luke Intervenes

The sword never fell.

A streak of light shattered it mid-air.

The devil recoiled. "WHO DARES—"

Luke stood between them, aura blazing.

"It's your way of fighting," Luke said calmly. "Weaken them emotionally first. Then strike."

The devil snarled. "Who are you to interfere?! Do you wish to become my prey as well?"

Luke's voice was steady.

"I think you underestimate humans."

The devil laughed wildly. "I'll eat you alive! You are daring to challenge me?"

Then his eyes widened.

"…Wait."

Recognition struck.

"You… you're the one who killed my brother."

Luke's aura intensified.

"Yes.Now its your turn."

The devil grinned. "Then this becomes interesting."

---

Luke formed a healing ring around the fallen Auramaster, stabilizing his aura.

Then he turned.

The fight ended quickly.

Unlike the city battle, there was no struggle. Luke's control, speed, and precision overwhelmed the devil completely.Battle was not long and soon Luke defeated the devil.

The devil collapsed, kneeling.

"Please—" it begged. "I never attack on earth . Spare me!"

Luke stared down at it.

"You'll leave go out of my eyes," Luke said. "And never dream of attacking Earth again."

The devil hesitated—then vanished instantly, escaping somewhere unknown.

---

The injured Auramaster looked at Luke.

"Why… why did you let it go?"

Luke replied simply, "Because it hadn't crossed that line yet. If it had harmed a human above the crack … I wouldn't have hesitated."

The Auramaster tried to stand—and collapsed again.

Luke caught him.

Outside the crack, Luke healed him fully.

When the man awoke, he looked at Luke with guilt-filled eyes.

"I'm sorry," he said. "You had to come because of me."

Luke shook his head. "You fought well. Devils don't fight fair."

The man hesitated. "What should I call you?"

Luke smiled faintly. "You can just call me… an Auramaster."

The man exhaled. "Then call me Mizu. My identity is hidden officially. I don't want the world in my life,Its my fake name ,it feel odd to called auramaster or sir multiple times."

Luke understood.

"There are many like us," Luke thought. "Be prepared next time. Devils won't stop."

Mizu nodded. "I will, and I am so happy I can see you ."

They parted ways.

---

High above the clouds, Luke floated beside Auru.

"I should have a name," Luke said thoughtfully. "Like Mizu. 'Sir' feels… distant."

Auru hummed. "Yes. A name gives shape to presence."

Luke stared at the stars.

"What should I be called… so no one ever finds the real me?"

Auru's light pulsed slowly.

"Then choose a name," it said, "that belongs not to a person… and you cannot be idnetified."

The night sky shimmered.

And somewhere in the world, whispers were about to gain a name.
