Chapter 5
- Rhea's POV -
Bored at home, I found myself attending EB. I really don't want to. But because of the insistence of Four, Almira and Ceejay I am here now. They really overdo it. At that point, Almira even went to the house to say goodbye to my sister.
"Have you been here long, Four?" Almira asked Four when we got outside the hut.
"Not really." He answered briefly.
"Where's Ceejay?" Almira asked again.
"Over there. Flirting with that scumbag." I immediately answered when I saw Ceejay shaking hands with a woman wearing shorts and a spaghetti shirt, before Four could answer.
The two turned at the same time in the direction of Ceejay and the woman while I watched them silently.
After a while, Almira returned her gaze to me.
"You just arrived and that's what you saw right away." Almira scolded.
"Hey, it's just behind Four. I'll see right away." I reasoned while still looking at them.
Four stated with a half smile, "Anonymous is really like that. Almost every man in the clan has become her boyfriend."
I looked at him with a frown, "So you've become one of them?"
"I already have a girlfriend when she joined the clan." Four answered clearly annoyed.
"And if not, will you be her boyfriend?" My annoyance is speakimg.
He answered with a frown, "What's wrong with you, Prim?"
"She's terrible," Almira suddenly scolded in the conversation while watching Ceejay and Anonymous, "They just met, he's already clinging to Ceejay's arm."
They are really annoying to look at. Anonymous is really flirting as you can see on Ceejay's face that he likes what that girl is doing to him. And they seem to really enjoy their intimacy.
I was about to take a step when my feet stopped when I heard Four speak.
"Don't disturb them. You'll just ruin their moment." Said Four who was obviously pissed off.
"That's a good thing and put their flirtatious in the exact place." I answered annoyed and continued walking.
Before I could even approach them, Four pulled my hand back.
"Hey, don't look." He smiled teasingly as he answered.
Frowning, I released Four's hand from mine and looked in another direction in annoyance. I shouldn't have come here. It ruins the day.
"Is that Lucy?" I whispered to myself when I recognized the member I was seeing in the direction I was looking.
This girl is talking to someone and they are very sweet.
Sweet? Isn't she Four's girlfriend?? There are so many newbies who are flirting now.
"Where?"
I turned to my side and saw Four standing near me. I didn't mean for him to hear. That's why I just whispered it to myself, right? But it seems that my voice just got louder.
So I just pointed in the direction of Lucy, "That's it. Who is she talking to?"
"Her ex." Almira answered my question. It seems that Almira noticed that Four was looking at them seriously and did not hear me.
I was surprised and glanced at Four who was still staring at them, "Really? Her ex?" I looked at Almira again, "Does she know that Four is here?"
"She does not know." Four suddenly answered while still looking at them, "Because I didn't tell her I was going."
"Like that?" Almira answered and immediately turned to Four who was frowning, "Then you're going to let that girl have sex with her ex again even though she's with someone new?"
"Again?" I immediately turned to Almira when I heard the word 'again'. It means that it's not the first time, "So it's becoming more common?"
"Yes, crushmate. It's so frequent. And this handsome creature here is really martyring himself." Almira explained further.
Annoyed, I turned to Four again while he was still looking at his girlfriend flirting with her ex, "Is that okay with you? If I've been her boyfriend, I will definitely smack that stupid man's face." I scolded.
"Hey, cool it." Almira still looked at me as she elbowed me in the side.
- Jc's POV -
Jaycile (codename: Lucy Heartfillia) flirts with her ex when I'm not around or she thinks I'm not around. I just keep quiet even though I hear a lot of bad things about them. But because I love her and I trust her, I didn't listen to them. But now, it looks like she's really overdoing it. So we argue endlessly because she doesn't want to be away from her ex. That man will really taste the fist of a person who has run out of patience.
I immediately approached them as my vision gradually darkened with so much anger. Little did they know that I was coming to destroy their sweet flirtation.
When I got close, I immediately pulled his collar and gave him a strong punch in the face causing him to back away. And before he could form, I stepped closer to him and followed him with another punch to the face that made him step back again.
"Jc! Stop!" Jaycile shouted to stop me but I was too deaf to listen to her voice.
"What!? Bring it on!" I yelled at him angrily while he gently rubbed his cheek.
I was about to follow up with another blow when Jaycile pulled my arm so I automatically turned to her.
"Stop it!" She is still weeding.
I ignored her as if I didn't hear anything from her and I quickly removed her hand from my arm. But when I turned to face again, her ex's fist surprised me and it went straight to my face.
And just as he was about to follow up with another blow, Jaycile stepped between us to pull us away and he couldn't get any closer to me.
"Stefen, what the hell! That's enough!" Jaycile shouted at him in annoyance, "It's embarrassing! All the members are looking at us!!"
"You're really embarrassed now!?" I scolded her, "If I hadn't smashed that man's face, you probably would have kissed him until he was naked."
"You're rude!" Jaycile scolded angrily and unexpectedly she was able to slap me, "I'm a sensible woman!"
"Is it safe to call a woman with a boyfriend who is still flirting with someone else?" I immediately answered.
"He's my boyfriend, John Carlo!" She replied emphasizing the word 'boyfriend', "Stefen is my boyfriend!"
My tongue suddenly retracted as if I was dumb. My whole body almost went numb from what she said. The wind seemed to blow away my anger and courage as small tears slowly formed at the corners of my eyes. I stumbled from my position like a fool who fought for a relationship that I should have let go of long ago.
And it was like an earthquake from the loud laughter of that panicked bastard. Because of his laughter, I was able to come to my senses and straighten my thinking.
"Did you hear him? I'm her boyfriend not you." He said laughing.
Annoyed, Jaycile turned to him and glared at him, "Shut up, Stefen!"
"Because I said I wouldn't go to EB, is he your boyfriend?" I said softly making her turn to me and I smirked at her when she turned to face me, "It's so fast. I hope when the day comes when you need me again, I'll still be there. Maybe you'll regret it when you see me holding by someone."
I didn't wait for her answer. I immediately left in front of them and went straight to the exit of the park. It turned out that I made a big scene because not only all the members were looking at us but also other people who were in the park. Muttering while looking at us.
When I got out of the park, I just walked along the side of the road without direction. I just keep walking while stooping even though I don't know where I'm going as long as I can get away from their side.
After a while I felt tired and leaned against a concrete post on the side of the road. I looked up at the sky as what Jaycile said earlier came to my mind. Suddenly my chest tightened and I felt like I was being strangled by the neck. I can't breathe properly. I should get used to it after all she does it often but it still hurts.
I suddenly opened my eyes when I heard a voice sing and looked at its possible origin. I just stared at Primera's face when I saw her singing while walking to where I was.
Primera's entrance was supposed to be beautiful because of her cold voice when suddenly Almira's voice that could literally break a plate broke it. I didn't realize that I was smiling because of Almira's witty part that almost made all the bats blink.. This girl is really destructive.
"It would have been good. Its just that Almira broke it." I teased.
"You're rude, Jc. I can sing." Almira answered with a sneer.
"I believe so that so many bats have flown." I almost laugh teasingly.
"It's good to stop." Primera said before Almira could answer, "You walked too far."
"Yes. It's tiring to follow you. You walk so fast." Almira continued to complain.
"Did I tell you to follow?" I answered philosophically looking at Almira.
Primera just smiled as she looked at me then answered, "I've been calling you for a while but you seemed that you can't hear me."
I sighed and looked at the road, "I remembered her." Then squat. It's hard to stand up.
"Is it Crista again?" Almira immediately added that she brought her face closer to mine.
I gently pushed his shoulder and answered avoiding his gaze, "She also sang to me a song."
Almira retreated and squatted next to Primera while smirking.
"Your ex?" Primera was curious.
"I wish." I gave a short and weak answer that almost only I could hear.
Primera stared at me for a moment and then squatted, "I don't understand."
"Crista used to be our clanmate and she's a close friend. They're so close that they're almost mistaken for each other." Almira continued her story and Primera turned to her.
"And they were?" Primera was still smiling.
Before Almira could answer, I went ahead of her, "No. Didn't have a chance."
Primera suddenly fell silent and looked up at the sky. I moved my eyes a little and saw Almira busy texting while Primera silently observed the clear sky. I also silently did the same.
I laughed as I turned to Primera who broke the silence when she sang, "It can't be like that. He died because of a plane crash 2 years ago."
Primera was quiet again for a moment then looked at me, "You're stupid."
I frowned, "Huh?"
"I said, you're stupid." She really repeated, "You had so many chances to be with her but you didn't manage to court her. Are you really a man?"
Is this girl teasing me?
"Shut up if you don't want to be kissed." I threaten.
She just laughed out loud, "Alright."
Fortunately, I have a lot of patience and I know how to hold back. If not, I would have kissed that annoying girl a while ago.
I burst out laughing as I watched Primera laugh so hard that my eardrums almost burst.
"Hey, crushmate. Do you have any plans to stop laughing?" Almira interrupted her.
After a while, she took a deep breath and slowly calmed herself down, "Alright, I won't laugh anymore." And her mouth was closed smiling while looking at me. It obviously prevented her from laughing again.
I didn't realize that my eyes were magnetized by her angelic smiling face. I hardly even blinked. I was suddenly stunned. I couldn't stop myself from smiling as I stared at her dumbfounded.
Later, I also noticed that Primera was staring at me with both eyebrows raised and her mouth closed in a smile. The reaction on her face seemed to want to say why I was looking.
"You're a weird girl." That's all I said.
"Why? You just saw a girl laugh out loud?" Her laughing answer.
"It doesn't matter." I said standing up and shaking my pants, "Stand up we're going somewhere."
Primera and Almira stood up together then shook their pants.
"Hey, Almira. Where are you going?" I called Almira when I noticed she was walking back to the direction we came from.
"I'm going back to the park." She answered.
"Don't come back. We're going somewhere." I screamed.
But she ignored me. She didn't even turn around. She just kept walking while waving at us.
"Nevermind." Primera said, "Where are we going?"
I took my cellphone out of my pocket to check the time. It's good and it's still early. It looks like we're going to make it.
- Rhea's POV -
"Welcome to party house." Four said as we entered a familiar place.
It's dark in there and only colorful lights from the disco ball illuminate the whole area. The interior is already full of guests and there are mostly young people. Even though there is no dj there is a background song and it looks like they are enjoying it. There used to be only a few people who came here, now, it's not even 9 pm, it's full, and some are still coming.
"You work here?" I will ask. Pretend I don't know
"Yes." He answered and he pulled me to the mini bar and I sat down while he just stood next to me.
"What do you do here?" I asked again.
"Disco Dj." He answered with a smile.
"Really?" I answered with interest. I miss it here.
He just nodded in response, "Just order whatever you want to drink. I'll pay for it."
"You said that." I answered smiling.
"I'm going to backstage. Just enjoy." Four said goodbye then he left.
"Excuse me." I called the bartender who was busy mixing a cocktail ordered by others, "Sherry please."
Let's have a lady's drink first. Let's talk about hard drinks later. Maybe later, I'll be drunk before the party starts.
I miss hanging out here. It was two years before I came back here and there are many improvements in the whole place. And they have also renovated the interior so the interior has expanded. Four's career as a DJ seems to be going well.
"Enjoy your drink." I looked at the bartender as he placed the drink I ordered in front of me.
I drank a little and felt its taste on my tongue. It really rubs the throat and feels mild. Definitely a lady's drink.
After a while, almost all of the andons were stilted. So I looked in front to see what was there.
"DJ Four! DJ Four!"
Almost everyone shouted at the same time. It's deafening.
He was even going up but the girls were almost crazy with the tickling. He's already famous. He looks like an actor.
He even waved to his fans and blew a flying kiss that made the women even more lost.
Oh my. Feel this moment.
He went to the left corner where his usual spot was and put on the headphones that were ready there.
"Before I begin, I want to acknowledge my friend sitting at the mini-bar for coming here." He said that made everyone turn to me, "The show is for you tonight."
I just swallowed because the women looked at me so badly. If only looks could kill, I'd probably be dead by now. Because they look so scary.
I just avoided their gaze and focused my attention on the drink in front of me.
Don't worry, I have no plans to steal your Prince of Dj ;p
After he acknowledged, he started shaking the whole place with his skillful playing of music.
He opened the party with little scratches, as if he was inviting everyone to dance. Then he followed it with a soft beat, which seemed to sway your whole body and everyone clapped along. After a while the music became upbeat and everyone was dancing. He followed it with a long scratch as they raised their hands to the beat. He also mixed it with the selected chorus part of some songs.
I didn't realize that my head was going along with the beat of the song. His remix is clean and doesn't hurt the ears. His remixing is alternative. So welcome to all those who want to leave the world for a moment and enjoy the night.
After a while, two women wearing headphones around their necks approached me. They were smiling at me and what they were wearing, they looked like crew.
"Miss, the DJ is asking you to go on stage." One said.
My eyes widened and I automatically shook my head a few times, "N-No."
The other one smiled, "DJ's request so don't refuse."
"I-I don't want to. I'm good here."
"Don't say no."
They helped pull me so I stood up and was forced to join them. I'm nervous. My chest feels like it's going to explode and my hands are sweating.
What's on your mind, Four?
After I went up to the stage, two women suddenly pushed me to Four so he noticed my arrival behind him. He turned to me and smiled.
And because he smiled so beautifully at me, I felt like I was electrified and my lips started to smile without being able to stop it.
Will I still be thrilled? It has happened to us before. It's like we didn't lose our connection to each other even though he recognized me as someone else.
"Want to dance?" He asked then removed the headphones he was wearing and placed them around his neck.
"I don't know how." I shyly answered that my mouth was about to tear from my huge smile.
He smiled too big, "In denial. Put it on." He removed his headphones from around his neck and put them on my ears.
Seriously. It feels so good. I felt like I was in another place while listening to him play the music. I didn't realize it, I was getting along with the music.
Four watched me with a smile and I smiled at him. When I looked at it, it seemed like the whole area was in slow motion because of the beautiful smile he gave me, the music was even going along with the moment that was happening.
Oh my!! Someone will really go home in love tonight. And I'm not referring to myself.
He faced the crowd who was really enjoying the music. I heard him speak so I took off the headphones I was wearing.
"Everybody, listen up!" He started and immediately got everyone's attention, "In the count of five, the lights will shut down and you can kiss whoever you wanted to kiss in three seconds."
Everyone screamed happily. Indicating that they agree with the dare of Mr. Handsome Dj. I'm hands down on his handsomeness.
I put the headphones back on and let the music flow.
"In the count of five!" He started and the whole crowd joined in the countdown.
"Five!"
"Four!"
"Three!"
"Two!"
"One!"
And suddenly the whole area went dark at the same time as the music stopped. As in, it's so dark that I can only see black.
After a while someone suddenly pulled on my waist at the same time as my heart beat like a bomb that suddenly exploded.
When the light came back on, my eyes widened and I was shocked at what happened next. Something actually happened that I was careful not to repeat when I entered the party house.
Four kissed me on the lips....
My whole body stiffened as my chest tightened. As in, it's literally like my body is gradually turning into stone. I can't even move my hands.
It was obvious from Four's reaction that he was also surprised by the speed of the incident. He took a step back, still shocked by what happened while I was the one who turned pale from the tightness of my chest. I couldn't breathe and no matter how hard I tried to reach my chest to punch, I couldn't move my arms.
"Prim?" He said hesitantly, "P-Primera?"
My vision is gradually getting blurry as if everything around me is spinning.
"Primera? Are you okay?" He was obviously worried about me as he touched both of my cheeks, "Answer me.."
The last thing I saw was his worried look before my vision went dark.
