Chapter 112 - A Mutually Beneficial Situation

"We have recently got more information about their movements."

Mr. Beans explained: "They have committed countless crimes around the world."

"These include, but are not limited to, the hunting of endangered animals and exotic creatures, the malicious destruction of numerous ruins, theft of the world's precious wonders, and other heinous crimes."

"In recent years, their criminal level has already been evaluated as S-class."

"If you bring all of them to justice, you would be able to accumulate enough achievements to be promoted to a Single-Star Hunter."

"Ginta, thanks to his previous achievements in capturing those two members of the Kute Gang of Thieves, has now successfully been promoted to a Single-Star Poacher Hunter."

Ginta's own strength is considerable, and his skills are exceptional.

He has also accumulated numerous merits, both large and small.

And with the two poachers he captured from the Kute Gang of Thieves, he was promoted to Single-Star.

"Capture the Kute Gang of Thieves, huh?"

Luke considered it. "Then give me their information first."

"No problem!"

Mr. Beans promptly received a stack of documents from a nearby assistant and handed them to Luke.

Luke: "...?"

"These were already prepared."

Mr. Beans smiled happily. "Once I learn, you might need achievements…"

"I specially gathered many tasks that can help you earn them!"

Probably a bunch of troublesome problems the association has long had difficulty dealing with, huh?

Luke looked at Mr. Beans' bright and sincere smile, which was completely genuine.

He silently put away the documents.

If he took these tasks, he would be helping them solve headaches.

A mutually beneficial situation.

"If I later need more detailed intel…"

"No problem!"

Mr. Beans immediately agreed. "Just leave it to us."

"The Hunter Association exists exactly for this, to serve professional hunters!"

He spoke with such sincerity that even those official-sounding words didn't feel formal.

"Then I'll leave it at that for now..."

After putting everything away, Luke waved to Mr. Beans and Chairman Netero and casually took his leave.

"Beans, I have a feeling..."

Watching Luke departing back, Chairman Netero spoke suddenly: "The Hunter Association is going to get very lively soon."

Absolutely yes!

Mr. Beans didn't even need to think about it.

Even just the reinstatement of the Vice-Chairman position alone would stir up huge waves inside the association.

Especially since the person taking the position was a newly joined professional hunter who hadn't been here long.

This was clearly an internal insertion, an air-dropped promotion.

Even if Chairman Netero approved and vouched for him… the other hunters would definitely have many differing opinions.

Especially… a certain man's figure surfaced in Mr. Beans' mind.

A man in a striped suit, with golden hair and a gentle, greasy smile always on his face.

There was no way that man would ignore this.

He could already foresee how lively the association would become.

However…

"This might not be a bad thing."

Mr. Beans thought silently.

Especially remembering how Luke casually took the mission for the Kute Gang of Thieves.

Somehow, he felt reassured.

As if these difficult cases would no longer be problems for Luke.

And especially, those mysterious inventions in his hands, he thought of the Restoring Beam Luke carried earlier.

Shining a light instantly restores objects to their original state.

Just that alone gave him countless ideas and applications.

A single invention like that could already provide tremendous benefit to the Hunter Association.

If Luke had more tools with similar capabilities…

Perhaps, after becoming Vice-Chairman, he really would bring a completely new atmosphere to the association.

He might even change the entire association.

Mr. Beans fully supported this.

Otherwise, he wouldn't help Luke this much or open so many back doors for him.

Both he and Chairman Netero held high expectations for Luke.

However…

"Hohoho, once he becomes Vice-Chairman, we'll have plenty of time for discussion and exchange."

Chairman Netero laughed in a very good mood.

In the original timeline, Chairman Netero appointed Pariston to the Vice-Chairman position because Pariston had his own plans.

But more importantly, Chairman Netero wanted a type of opponent he was least skilled at handling to be right beside him.

Pariston was the only member of the Zodiacs who constantly opposed him, and that novelty was quite amusing.

But… compared to the other party, who didn't treat him as someone important, this inventor, who still has many surprising inventions up his sleeve, actually made Chairman Netero feel more excited and eager to try things out.

Those strange inventions were simply addicting.

Just like this little killer robot currently pestering him endlessly.

Clearly, it's such a tiny robot, yet it seemed to have endless weapons and infinite stamina.

"Before Luke becomes Vice-Chairman, I guess I can enjoy myself a bit and relieve my boredom."

Chairman Netero had found something entertaining again; his life wouldn't be so dull anymore.

After all, most of the Hunter Association's work was handled by Beans, the secretary.

As Chairman, he often served more as a mascot than anything else.

After parting with Chairman Netero, Luke casually looked through the information regarding the Kute Gang of Thieves.

Then some familiar names entered his sight.

"Ironwood Mountain, so Mizaistom Nana also has connections with them..."

Luke raised a brow and continued reading.

The Hunter Association already had information regarding Ironwood Mountain being rich in mesmerizing mineral crystals.

Otherwise, Mizaistom Nana wouldn't have rushed there after hearing the news.

And behind the largest industry operating on Ironwood Mountain, the Kute Gang of Thieves' shadow was present.

That's right, those scumbags causing trouble everywhere and leaving criminal traces, they also wanted a piece of such ruthless and profitable business.

So that group went to Ironwood Mountain.

And it just so happened that they ran into Mizaistom Nana, who was there to uphold justice.

When these two sides met… of course, the clash would be explosive!

And Ironwood Mountain had existed for so long without falling, did people really think they were weak?!

With such a large operation, they naturally had a considerable security force of their own.

Once Mizaistom Nana and the Kute Gang of Thieves began clashing, the commotion immediately attracted Ironwood Mountain's security forces.

Then… it turned into a chaotic three-way battle.

"In this battle, after the Kute Gang of Thieves wiped out most of Ironwood Mountain's security forces, they withdrew to avoid exposing themselves."

"As for Mizaistom Nana, he was caught in a pincer attack by both the Kute Gang of Thieves and the Ironwood Mountain's own forces."

"Since the other two groups cooperated with each other, only Mizaistom Nana was fighting alone."

"And both sides treated him as the enemy, making him the one who suffered the most, beaten brutally by both."

"He almost didn't make it out alive..."
