Chapter 32 - Chapter 32

A few days passed by since Jonathan rushed out of the mansion in a hurry after his father George fell ill. During this time, Felix stayed by the older man's side casting healing magic to suppress the poison and noticed that this poison resistance to magic. Maybe a highly skilled healer could counter it, but most healers who use healing magic would be left scratching their heads.

The only reason he probably even had an effect on the poison is his abundant amount of magic. Thanks to this, he could bypass the poison resistance to a small degree.

"I wonder where Dio had gone too." George said.

Not long after Jonathan rushed out, so did Dio after a while. Where he went or to do, none of them in the house knew. Their best guess is he went after Jonathan.

While sitting in the chair beside George's bed, Felix was relaxing when the house on the other side of the door became very lively. There were some shouting and hurried footsteps that seemed to make George anxious.

Bang!

The door swung open revealing the old butler who hurried over to the bed. In his hand there was a small packet.

"Master George, this is the antidote your son Jonathan brought back. Hurry up and take it." He said quickly.

"What is going on out there?" George asked.

"Jonathan has brought the guards to arrest Dio. He has evidence he is behind the poisoning." The old butler explained. "Now they are setting up a trap for Dio for when he returns."

--

After about an hour, George recovered a great deal as the antidote worked its way through his system. While his body is still a bit sluggish, he could now stand. So tucked away behind a curtain, Felix and the guards stood listening as Dio explained his goal of taking the Joestar fortune.

"That man won't be caught. It is what my fortune telling is telling me. It is not due to the three birthmarks behind his ear, but his face. He was born with great luck."

A slightly hunched over fortune teller from the rumored Eastern Continent said. If he is really there or not, that is debatable since unless someone is running, it is by no means a short trip from there to Ishgar continent.

Still, since this man sold Dio the poison as not only this time but years ago to poison his own father. It wasn't that far of a stretch for this man to run all the way here.

Off to the side as the guards who began to surround Dio who returned with an arm in a sling. They carried a series of weapons from magic guns to swords and spears as they moved forward cautiously.

It is no secret that Dio is a good fighter nor do they know if he placed traps in preparation in case of their arrival. They were here to arrest and take him in, not be blown to pieces or fall here.

"Jojo…There is a limit to humanity."

Suddenly hearing Dio say this, Felix felt a bit confused as did Jonathan, a man who just introduced himself as Speedwagon with a bowler hat and the guards. They all wore a puzzled expression as Dio began a monologue to himself.

Still, a sudden eerie feeling fell upon the room as Dio continued.

"I've learned something in my short life. The harder you plan, the less things will go according to your plans! As long as you go past your humanity…"

"What are you saying?!" Jonathan asked as he interrupted.

Dio suddenly displayed a cruel smile as he began to move. Suddenly he moved as he pulled out a stone mask and knife. However, Dio wasn't the only one to move as did George as he shoved Felix to the side.

Not expecting to be ambushed from behind by George, Felix stumbled a couple steps but quickly regained his footing. Thanks to this, the magic he was preparing to restrain Dio if he made one was interrupted which gave time for the scene to come to a climax.

"I reject my humanity! Jojo!!" Dio shouted. "I will transcend humanity!"

Speedwagon off to the side shouted, "Watch out, Mister Joestar!"

"He's got a knife. Quickly shoot him." the guards shouted.

Only Jonathan asked a seemingly unrelated question. "Why do you have the stone mask?"

"With your blood, Jojo!" Dio continues as he ignores everyone's words.

Dio had lunged forward at Jonathan and as Felix quickly went to cast magic to restrain him. He didn't care to be subtle about casting magic, but it was too late. George who had moved was stabbed as took the blow for his son Jonathan.

"Urgh!" George cried out.

The knife entered his back as he collapsed into Jonathan's arms. Blood flew onto the stone mask Dio had placed on his face. Where the tendrils extend into his head.

"Shoot him!" The guards shouted.

Their magic guns went off one after another as they shot Dio multiple times. Still, despite being shot so many times, he remained standing before falling out the window. As the glass shattered and Dio fell at least two floors to a concrete ground below. Besides a couple guards who went to check the window, Felix felt worried.

Not for himself, but for those around him. The simple mission of researching a stone mask has taken a turn. His past missions have told him that a possible tragedy is about to unfold.

"Hurry away from the window!" Felix shouted as did Speedwagon.

The captain of the guard, Copper, who was near the window turned. Only for a hand with sharp fingernails to rip his head in half with minimum effort. His blood splattered before him as the guards who were rushing about to find something to heal George to freeze.

"What is this guy? He came back to life." Speedwagon cried.

"Be careful. He clearly has a magic tool or weapon." A guard shouted.

Dio who swung into the room stood before them. As the guards fumbled to pull out their guns again, Felix quickly casted magic.

"Ice Mold: Ice Battle Hammer."

In a fluid step, Felix put his entire strength and body behind swinging a rapidly forming giant hammer. Either uncustomed to his transformation or wanting to see his new body limit, Dio didn't dodge.

Crack!

Boom!

As his body cracked and deformed from the heavy hit from the hammer. Dio's body flew into the mansion wall and through it. Still, Felix didn't drop his guard as he rushed forward.

This proved to be the right decision as Dio surprisingly didn't die. His body that should have been crippled or heavily injured rapidly began to heal. While not instantaneous, Dio rapidly regained movement.

"Impossible." Jonathan said.

"This is the ability of the stone mask, Jonathan." Felix said.

Rushing forward, Felix went to chop Dio's head off with an ice sword, but unlike last time, Dio dodged. Clearly he knew that he couldn't hope to match Felix. So as he rushed to the side, Dio stabbed his finger into a guard.

Under everyone's horrified eyes, the guard body rapidly withered as Dio returned to his peak. Felix frowned as he didn't want to unleash too destructive magic or he would bring down the mansion and endangered the remaining guards.
