They walked for hours across the bone-plains. Finally, they saw it.
The Tower of Umbra. It was a needle of black stone piercing the cloud layer above. It was perfectly smooth, with no windows and no doors. It stood in the center of a dried-up lake of black blood.
"This is it," Kaelen said. He pulled out the Black Box. The box hummed violently.
"How do we get in?" Rix asked. "There's no door."
Kaelen held the box up to the smooth wall. The Void Steel resonated with the tower. The stone wall didn't open. It liquefied, forming a swirling portal of shadow.
